Chapter 1: The Point of No Return
The keycard in Kev’s hand felt as flimsy as a candy wrapper. He stood before the hotel suite door, the weight of his work boots suddenly immense on the cream-colored hallway carpet. He could hear the dull throb of his own heart over the distant hum of the building. With a shaky breath, he slid the card into the reader. A green light, a soft click.
He pushed the door open.
The air was different here. Cool, scented with something woody and expensive, undercut by the clean, sharp smell of hotel disinfectant. It was dark, save for the city lights bleeding around the edges of heavy curtains and the soft, ambient glow from a bathroom door left ajar. Plush carpet swallowed the sound of his entrance. He could see his own reflection, pale and fragmented, in the mirrored ceiling.
“Lock it.”
The voice came from the shadows near the windows, deep and smooth, a vibration more than a sound. Kev jumped, fumbling behind him to engage the deadbolt. The click was deafening.
“Bring the bag. To the foot of the bed.”
Kev obeyed, his movements stiff. He was still in his site clothes—stained flannel, durable canvas pants, the heavy boots. He felt like a crude stain on the perfection of the room. He set the black duffel bag, his “sissy bag” as Darius called it, down on the floor. He didn’t kneel. Not yet. He just stood, waiting, his hands hanging uselessly at his sides.
The bathroom light widened. Darius emerged, a silhouette cut from obsidian. A white towel was slung low around his hips. Water glistened on the powerful map of his chest and shoulders, catching the low light. He moved with a predator’s idle grace, not even looking at Kev as he approached a minibar, pulled out a bottle of water, and took a long drink.
Kev’s mouth was desert-dry.
Darius finally turned. His eyes traveled from Kev’s work boots up to his flushed face, a slow, appraising journey that felt more invasive than any touch. He didn’t smile. He raised one eyebrow, a barely-there gesture, and flicked his gaze down to the bag.
The command was silent, absolute.
Kev’s knees hit the carpet. The impact jarred his teeth. He unzipped the bag with clumsy fingers, the sound obscenely loud in the quiet room.
“Show me.”
Kev began to pull the contents out, laying them on the carpet like offerings. A bundle of sheer black lace. Silk stockings. A pair of patent leather heels, high and narrow. A cosmetics case. A few other things, secret and silken. His hands trembled.
Darius came closer. He stood over Kev, the heat from his body radiating down. Kev kept his eyes fixed on the towel’s knot, on the formidable outline of what was beneath it, already filling. The scent of clean skin and male soap filled Kev’s nostrils.
“Look at this,” Darius said, his voice a low rumble. He nudged the flannel shirt with his bare foot. “This costume. This lie. You wear it all day, don’t you? Teaching other men to build things while you dream about being taken apart.”
Kev couldn’t speak. He nodded, a quick, jerky motion.
“We’re going to peel that lie off. Layer by layer.” Darius took another sip of water. “You’re not leaving this room until you’re dressed like the desperate slut I own tonight. Until you understand what you are under all that lumber and testosterone.”
He set the bottle down. The soft thud was final.
“Stand up.”
Kev got to his feet, his legs unsteady.
“The shirt. Take it off.”
Kev’s fingers fumbled with the buttons. The coarse fabric, smelling of sawdust and sweat, fell open. He shrugged it off, let it drop to the floor.
“The rest. Everything. Leave the boots for last. I want to see you standing there in just those ugly, practical things.”
It was a brutal order. The humiliation was precise, surgical. Kev complied, his movements robotic. The pants, the socks, the briefs. He stood naked except for the scarred leather boots, his soft body exposed in the cool air, his arms crossed unconsciously over his chest.
Darius circled him. A slow, silent revolution. Kev stared straight ahead, at his own wide eyes in the mirror across the room.
“Uncross your arms. Put your hands at your sides.”
Kev forced his arms down. The air felt colder.
“Better.” Darius stopped behind him. Kev could feel the man’s breath on the back of his neck. “Now. The first piece. The stockings.”
Kev bent, retrieved the stockings. Sitting on the edge of the bed, he rolled the sheer black silk up his calf, over his knee, up his thigh. The sensation was electric and alien. He attached them to the garter belt he’d put on next, his fingers all thumbs.
“The heels.”
The boots came off with a sense of profound relief. He slid his feet into the patent leather. The arch was severe, pitching him forward. He wobbled, grabbing the bedpost for balance.
“Let go. Stand.”
Kev let go. He straightened, his body thrown into an unfamiliar posture. His calves tightened. The room seemed taller.
Darius watched, his expression unreadable. He pointed to the lace. “That next. The teddy.”
Kev slipped the black lace over his head. It settled against his skin, clinging, the cups loose and empty, the bottom cut high on the hips. He felt a dizzying fracture in his sense of self. The reflection in the mirror was no longer a construction teacher. It was a crude imitation of something else, something pathetic and alluring.
“Come here.”
Kev took a step, the click of the heel on the floor a new, fragile sound. He shuffled closer to Darius.
Darius didn’t touch him. He just looked. “Now the face. The final mask.”
He guided Kev to the vanity stool by the bathroom light. Kev sat, and Darius opened the cosmetics case. He worked in silence, with a surprising, ruthless efficiency. Foundation smoothed over Kev’s stubble and weary skin. Powder. A touch of contour that hollowed his cheeks. Eye shadow in smoky grays. Mascara that made his lashes feel heavy. Finally, a deep, red lipstick, carefully applied.
“Look.”
Kev looked in the illuminated mirror.
A stranger stared back. A tired, older woman with Kev’s brown eyes, now wide with shock and something like hunger. The sharp features of his face were softened, feminized. The red lips were a wound, a promise. He looked exactly like the fantasy he’d nurtured in the darkest corners of his mind. It was the most terrifying and exhilarating thing he had ever seen.
Darius placed his heavy hands on Kev’s lace-clad shoulders. He leaned down, his mouth close to Kev’s ear, his reflection dominating the mirror behind them.
“See her?” he whispered, the words slithering into Kev’s soul. “That’s who you are. That’s the product. And tonight, I’m just your warm-up. My buddy Malik is coming over. We’re going to break in this new persona. Properly. Thoroughly.”
Kev’s breath hitched. A fresh wave of panic, laced with undeniable excitement, coursed through him.
“And tomorrow,” Darius continued, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial hum, “you have a meeting. With Mr. Sterling. A very important man in the adult film industry. We’re going to convince that pretty, lipsticked mouth to sign a contract. You’re going to become the next big thing. A star. For the kind of films you’ve secretly been watching for years.”
He straightened up, his image in the mirror a monument of control behind Kev’ shattered facade.
“But first, you need to learn your role. So get on the bed. On your back. Let’s practice your audition.” Darius’s towel hit the floor. “And try to remember your lines. They’re simple: ‘Thank you, Sir.’”
They’re simple: ‘Thank you, Sir.’”
The lesson that followed was a brutal, beautiful deconstruction. Every touch from Darius was a command, every whispered correction a fissure in Kev’s old reality. The “thank you, Sir” became a mantra, gasped out between the heavy scent of leather and male musk, the click of heels against the headboard, the dizzying view of his own transformed reflection in the ceiling mirrors—a panting, lace-clad creature he no longer recognized. When the knock finally came at the suite door, it was almost a relief.
“Right on time,” Darius said, slapping Kev’s thigh. “On your knees by the bed. Hands behind your back. Chest out. Show our guest what we’re working with.”
Kev scrambled to obey, the new posture forcing his shoulders back, making the empty lace cups gape. Darius opened the door without a glance backward.
Malik filled the doorway. He was just as tall as Darius, but broader, with a calm, assessing gaze that swept the room and landed on Kev with the mild interest of a mechanic looking at a project car. He carried a large, sleek black case.
“D,” he nodded, stepping in. He set the case on the dressing table. “And this must be the candidate.”
“Say hello, Kev,” Darius instructed, closing the door.
“H-hello,” Kev whispered, his normal voice a raspy intrusion.
Malik gave a low chuckle. “We’ve got some work to do on that.” He clicked the case open. “Brought the full kit. Sterling likes his products fully realized.”
From the case, he withdrew items that looked both clinical and fantastical. A flesh-toned garment that shimmered under the lights. A severe-looking corset of black satin and steel. A cascade of vibrant pink synthetic hair. Finally, a collar, glittering with cheap, convincing diamantes, the letters ‘BBC OWNED’ sparkling in a playful script.
“The transformation suite,” Malik said, his hands gentle but impersonal as he approached Kev. “Stand up, honey. Let’s get you out of that starter kit.”
The lace teddy was removed. Kev stood, shivering, as Malik began with the breastplate. It was warm, the silicone strangely skin-like. Malik positioned it, explaining as he worked.
“This isn’t just plastic,” he said, his fingers smoothing the edges. “Micro-filament hooks.Thousands of them. They adhere to your nerve endings. Your brain won’t know the difference.” He secured the final clasp at the back.
The sensation was not like putting on a costume. It was like waking up. A sudden, shocking weight settled on his chest, a full, lush pull that altered his entire center of gravity. A phantom, delicious ache. When Malik casually brushed a thumb over a nipple, Kev cried out. The feeling was direct, intimate, real. He felt his face flush.
“See?” Malik smiled. “They’re yours now.”
Next was the corset. Malik laced it with professional efficiency, pulling each ribbon with a steady, firm pressure. Kev’s breath whooshed out as his waist cinched, his ribs compacted. The heavy, new weight on his chest now jutted forward above a startling, cinched curve. His body was being rewritten into an impossible silhouette.
“Okay?” Darius asked, watching from an armchair, a glass of brown liquor in his hand.
Kev could only nod, light-headed, one hand drifting to cup the startling swell of a silicone hip.
The wig was next. A cap first, then the long, pink waves. Malik fitted it, adjusting something at the nape of Kev’s neck. There was a faint pinch, then a subtle buzzing sensation on his scalp. “Follicle grips,” Malik murmured. “Go on, Darius. Test it.”
Darius didn’t get up. He just reached out from his chair, his fist closing in the pink strands near Kev’s temple, and gave a sharp, commanding tug.
Kev’s head jerked to the side. A sting bloomed across his scalp. The wig didn’t budge. The pain was real, personal, owned. A whimper escaped him.
“Perfect,” Darius said, releasing him.
Finally, the collar. The diamantes were cold against his throat. Malik fastened it in the back. There was a soft click, a hum that vibrated against Kev’s larynx. He felt a strange, internal tickle.
“Say hello again,” Malik instructed, stepping back to admire his work.
Kev opened his mouth. What came out wasn’t his voice.
It was a high, airy, sweetly cadenced drawl, dripping with a sultry, brainless warmth. “Oh, wow. Hello there.” It sounded like a porn star trying to sound like Paris Hilton. The words just fell out, a perfect, vapid bubble.
He gasped, his hand flying to the collar. The gasp itself was a high, feminine sound.
“The voice modulator,” Malik explained, packing his case. “Real-time neural mapping and vocal cord stimulation. Keeps you in character. Wear it long enough, and the training becomes permanent. Your cords will learn the new shape.”
Darius finally rose. He walked over to Kev, who stood trembling in his new body, breathing in shallow sips from his corseted waist, the giant, feeling breasts heavy on his chest, the pink hair a curtain he could see from the corners of his eyes. Darius cupped his chin, tilting his face up.
The man in the mirror was gone. A bimbo doll stared back, wide-eyed and painted, a diamond collar declaring her property.
“There she is,” Darius breathed, his thumb smearing Kev’s red lipstick. “Meet Kendra. Now, Kendra… let’s practice those thank yous. Malik brought some… complementary equipment.”
Malik unzipped his fly with a quiet, businesslike finality. Kev—Kendra—felt the puppet strings of her new voice take hold, her body humming with manufactured sensitivity, her fate closing around her throat with the gentle, inescapable click of a diamond latch. The words formed on her tongue, light and automatic and perfect.
“Ohmygod, thank you, Sir.”
