Chapter 6: The Buffet Bonanza

The buffet tables groaned under the weight of steaming trays—lasagna dripping cheese, golden garlic knots glistening with butter, cannoli stuffed with sweet ricotta so thick it could barely stay inside the shells. The scent was intoxicating, a warm fog of garlic, sugar, and fried dough that wrapped around every woman in the room like an embrace.

John leaned against the host stand, arms crossed, watching.

Brenda Miller was first in line, her sundress already snug where it hugged her thickening waist. She piled her plate high with gnocchi, her fingers lingering over the cream-drenched pasta. "Just a little more," she murmured, tongs hovering over a second helping before dumping it on with a giggle. Her daughter Ashley, cheeks already rounder than they'd been last week, elbowed past with a grin. "Mom, save some for me!"

John smirked. They never saved anything.

Across the room, Mrs. Ainsworth and Tiffany occupied a corner booth, their usual spot. Mrs. Ainsworth's once-tailored blazer strained at the buttons, her silk blouse pulled tight across the swell of her belly. She moaned around a forkful of tiramisu, eyes fluttering shut. "God, this is divine."

Tiffany, lips glossy with olive oil, nodded. "We should come every day."

They would.

Laura, one of the waitresses, squeezed past a group of giggling college students, her tray balanced expertly despite the way her hips brushed against chairs. She caught John's eye and winked. "Boss, we’re gonna need more breadsticks. Brenda Peterson’s table just demolished the last batch."

John chuckled. "Already on it."

The kitchen doors swung open, and Maria emerged with a fresh tray of arancini, the golden-fried risotto balls still sizzling. Her chef’s jacket clung to her curves, the top buttons undone to accommodate the rise of her chest. She set the tray down, then turned to John, her fingers brushing his wrist. "Busy night."

His pulse jumped. "You love it."

She smiled, slow and knowing, before disappearing back into the kitchen.

Sofia appeared at his side moments later, her cleavage spilling over the neckline of her tight black uniform. She pressed against him, her warmth seeping through his shirt. "Table six keeps asking for you," she whispered, lips brushing his ear. "Brenda’s been staring all night."

John glanced over. Brenda Miller, now halfway through her third plate, met his gaze and flushed. She mouthed something—*come here*—before popping a meatball between her lips with deliberate slowness.

He exhaled sharply.

Sofia giggled, her fingers trailing down his arm. "Go on. I’ll cover for you."

The back hallway was dim, the noise of the dining room muffled. Brenda was already there, pressed against the wall, her breath coming fast. "I’ve been thinking about this all week," she admitted, hands fumbling with the waistband of his jeans.

John didn’t waste time. He spun her around, yanked up her dress, and pushed into her with one deep thrust.

Brenda gasped, her back arching, her body trembling as he filled her. "Oh—oh God—"

He set a brutal pace, his hands gripping the soft swell of her hips. The wall rattled with each snap of his pelvis, Brenda’s moans muffled against her own arm. She was tight, warm, her body welcoming him greedily, like it had been waiting for this.

"Harder," she begged, her voice breaking. "Please—"

John obliged, slamming into her until her knees gave out. She collapsed forward, her belly pressed against the wall, and he followed, pinning her there as he fucked her through her climax, her cunt fluttering around him.

He came with a groan, spilling into her, his fingers digging into the soft flesh of her thighs.

Brenda sagged against the wall, panting. "You’re gonna kill me," she laughed, breathless.

John kissed the nape of her neck. "You’ll be back tomorrow."

She would. They all would.

When he returned to the dining room, the noise hit him like a wave—laughter, clinking silverware, the low hum of satisfaction. The buffet tables were half-empty now, plates piled high with remnants of meals that had disappeared too fast.

At the bar, Fatima poured wine for Claire Hunphy, the model-turned-regular whose designer dress strained at every seam. Claire sipped, her lips curving in a lazy smile as she caught John’s eye.

He smirked.

The night was young.

The kitchen doors swung open with a squeak, revealing Maria bent over the industrial mixer, her apron straps digging into shoulders that had grown softer, rounder. The fabric stretched taut across her backside—a full, heavy curve that hadn’t been there months ago. She turned, wiping flour-dusted hands on her hips, and grinned at John. "You look like you’ve been busy."

He let his gaze drag over her, slow, appreciative. "You have no idea."

She swatted his chest, but her laughter was warm, throaty. "Keep it up, and I’ll make you peel potatoes for a week."

Fatima squeezed past them, balancing three plates of panna cotta, her once-sleek uniform now snug around the hips. "Laura’s table ordered dessert before their mains," she muttered, rolling her eyes. "I told them it’s backward, but they said—"

"They don’t care," John finished, leaning in to steal a berry from one of the plates.

Fatima huffed, but her lips quirked. "Exactly."

The dining room hummed louder as the night deepened. Tiffany Ainsworth lounged in her booth, lazily swirling a breadstick in marinara, her free hand resting on the swell of her stomach. "Mom," she sighed, "I think I’m done."

Mrs. Ainsworth didn’t look up from her fourth helping of tiramisu. "Nonsense. You’ve got room."

At the bar, Sofia refilled Brenda Peterson’s wineglass, her own curves testing the seams of her dress. The buttons along her bust strained, the fabric pulling with every movement. Brenda grinned up at her. "You’re looking… happy."

Sofia’s cheeks flushed. "Busy night."

"Uh-huh." Brenda’s gaze flicked toward the back hallway, then back, sly. "Real *busy*."

John intercepted another tray from the kitchen—Maria’s famous lobster ravioli, drenched in butter sauce. The scent alone was sinful. He delivered it to Claire Hunphy, who barely glanced at the food before catching his wrist. "Sit with me," she said, voice low. "Just for a minute."

Her fingers were warm, insistent.

He slid into the booth, their knees brushing beneath the table. Claire’s dress gaped slightly at the neckline, revealing soft, heavy flesh that hadn’t been there when she first walked in months ago. She speared a ravioli, holding it out to him. "Try it."

He took the bite, his tongue swiping over the fork. "Good."

Her smile deepened. "You should taste *me* next."

The kitchen doors burst open again, and Maria’s voice cut through the din. "John! We need you back here."

Claire sighed, but let him go with a squeeze to his thigh. "Later."

He found Maria elbow-deep in dough, her arms dusted white, her cleavage glistening with a sheen of sweat. The buttons of her shirt threatened to give way entirely. "You called?"

She shot him a look. "You’ve been distracted."

"I’m multitasking."

"Mm." She turned, pressing her flour-coated hands to his chest, leaving stark white prints on his shirt. "Focus *here* first."

He caught her waist, pulling her close. The dough between them was forgotten as she melted against him, her body warm and yielding.

Sofia’s voice rang out from the dining room. "John! Brenda’s asking for— oh." She paused in the doorway, taking in the scene—Maria’s fingers tangled in John’s hair, his grip on her hips. Sofia bit her lip, then stepped inside, locking the door behind her.

Maria didn’t let go. "Well?"

Sofia’s dress hit the floor a second later.
