Chapter 1: Introduction
The living room was filled with the usual suspects—my feminist squad, a motley crew of brilliant, passionate women who could hold their own in any intellectual debate. We were all here for the weekly "Feminist Forum," a tradition that allowed us to vent, strategize, and occasionally, have a good laugh at the absurdities of the patriarchy. Tonight, though, the air was thick with something more scandalous than our usual discussions about glass ceilings and mansplaining.
I was about to set the room ablaze with a controversial topic that had been simmering in my mind for weeks—the role of the male orgasm in modern relationships.
I looked around the room, taking in my friends' familiar faces and relaxed postures. Julia was curled up on the couch, her legs tucked under her, already looking intrigued. She was always the first to pick up on my more provocative ideas. Across from her, Emma was stretched out on the floor, her back against the wall, a glass of wine in hand, her eyes sparkling with amusement. She was my voice of reason, the one who would challenge my arguments just enough to keep me on my toes.
In the armchair, Lucy was flipping through a stack of magazines, her feet propped up on the ottoman.
