Chapter 9: Best Friends Forever
The silence after Nina’s whispered gratitude was thick, syrupy. It pooled in the grand bathroom, broken only by the drip of a faucet and Nina’s ragged, slowing breaths against the cool marble. Sera stood there, one foot slightly lifted, the silk of her robe falling back into place. She felt a vague sense of accomplishment, fuzzy and warm, like finishing a simple puzzle.
Ethan broke the stillness. He clapped his hands once, a soft, dry sound that made both women flinch.
“Enough wallowing,” he said, his voice slicing through the humid air. It was no longer the guiding murmur, but a conductor’s baton tapping the stand, demanding attention. “Up. Both of you.”
Nina scrambled to her feet, movements jerky and servile. She kept her eyes downcast, her body trembling with residual shock and a deep, ingrained need to obey. Sera just blinked, turning her empty, beautiful gaze toward him.
“Come,” he said, and turned, walking back into the master bedroom without checking to see if they followed. They did. Nina on shaky legs, Sera with a placid, drifting gait.
The bedroom felt different now. The opulent décor—the velvet, the silk, the gilded mirrors—wasn’t just background. It was a stage. Ethan stopped in the open space near the foot of the massive four-poster bed. He turned to face them, his unremarkable features calm, composed, utterly in command.
“Nina,” he said, his eyes on the maid. “On your back. Here.” He pointed to a spot on the plush rug directly before him.
A shudder, part terror, part euphoria, went through Nina. She moved without hesitation, lowering herself to the floor as if her bones were liquid. She lay back, arms at her sides, legs together. The pose was one of utter vulnerability, an offering on an altar. Her chest rose and fell rapidly.
“Sera.” Ethan’s voice softened a fraction, turning pedagogical. He gestured to Nina’s face. “Kneel over her. Straddle her head.”
Sera tilted her head, processing. The command was clear, but the logistics seemed… silly. “On her face?” she asked, a giggle bubbling up. It was a light, airy sound, completely devoid of malice.
“On her face,” Ethan confirmed, a ghost of a smile touching his lips. “She exists to serve. To clean. To worship. Your… essence… is the highest form of worship she can receive. It will help you both.”
“Okay!” Sera chirped, the giggle escaping fully now. It was just another game. A weird one, but Master Ethan’s games always felt good after a minute.
She moved with that new, hip-swaying languor, hiking the lavender silk of her robe up around her thighs. She knelt, one knee then the other, placing them on the rug on either side of Nina’s head. Then she lowered herself, settling her weight onto Nina’s waiting face.
Nina’s body jerked once, a spasm of pure instinct, before going utterly still. Her hands, which had been lying flat, now curled into loose fists at her sides. Her eyes were wide, staring up past the V of Sera’s thighs, into the shadowy cavern of the robe. She gave a muffled, wet sound—not protest, but acknowledgment.
“Good,” Ethan said, circling them like a sculptor assessing his work. “Now, Sera. I want you to move. Gently. Rock back and forth.”
Sera obeyed, shifting her hips experimentally. The sensation was strange—the pressure of bone and soft flesh against her, the heat of Nina’s breath through the silk. A small, surprised “oh” escaped her lips. It felt… interesting.
“Nina,” Ethan’s voice was a whip-crack in the quiet room. “Your tongue. Use it. Clean her. Worship her. Make her feel good.”
The command unlocked something. Nina’s body, which had been taut with waiting, softened into purpose. Her head tilted slightly, adjusting the angle. And then Sera felt it—a firm, wet pressure, probing, lapping through the thin silk.
Sera gasped. Her hands, which had been resting on her own thighs, flew out for balance, splaying on the rug. “Oh… wow,” she breathed, her voice losing its giggly edge and dipping into something lower, more astonished.
“That’s it,” Ethan coaxed, his voice a smooth overlay to the soft, obscene sounds now filling the space. “Just like that. Let her serve you. She’s your best friend, remember? This is how she loves you now.”
The words seeped into Sera’s fuzzy consciousness. Best friend. Love. Serve. They swirled together, forming a new, simple logic. Her hips began to move of their own accord, finding a rhythm against Nina’s mouth. The silk grew damp, then soaked, the barrier becoming almost irrelevant.
Ethan watched, his eyes dark and intent. He saw Sera’s head loll back, her dark hair spilling over her shoulders. He saw the vacant, pleasure-slack expression replacing her usual empty smile. This was the moment. The precise point of fusion.
“Sera,” he said, his voice cutting through her mounting pleasure. “Look at me.”
With effort, she dragged her gaze down from the ceiling. Her eyes were glazed, unfocused.
“You used to be so smart,” he said, almost conversational. “Remember? Big words. Big thoughts. It was so… noisy in there.” He tapped his own temple.
Sera’s brow furrowed slightly, a phantom ache of a memory trying to surface. The thesis… the books… the frustrating, tangled arguments in her own mind… It all felt like a dream about someone else.
“It’s quieter now, isn’t it?” he pressed, moving closer. He stood just beside them now, looking down at Sera’s bliss-dazed face. “Peaceful.”
“Mmmhmm,” Sera managed, her hips never stopping their slow, grinding rhythm.
“What’s happening right now, Sera? As she licks you? As you use her face?”
Sera’s mind groped for the words. They were slippery, simple things. “Feels… good,” she slurred.
“It’s making you softer, isn’t it?” Ethan suggested, his voice hypnotic. “Making you emptier. Every time you rock on her tongue, you get… dumber. And sluttier. Can you feel it?”
The concept clicked into place with terrifying ease. The pleasure was literally hollowing her out, smoothing the jagged edges of her intellect, expanding the wet, welcoming void between her legs. It was a direct transaction.
“Yeah…” Sera moaned, the realization syncing with a particularly deep stroke of Nina’s tongue. “Dumber… and sluttier…”
“Say it,” Ethan commanded, his own breath catching. He was unbuckling his belt now, the sound of the leather sliding through the loops stark in the room.
“Dumber and sluttier,” Sera chanted, the words syncing with the rocking of her hips. “Dumber and sluttier.”
Each repetition was a shovel of dirt on the grave of who she’d been. Each thrust of Nina’s tongue packed it down. Sera’s world narrowed to the chant and the sensation, a perfect, filthy feedback loop. Dumber and sluttier. Dumber and sluttier.
Ethan freed himself, hard and urgent. He looked at Nina’s prone body, her maid’s uniform a rumpled puddle beneath Sera’s knees. Her hips were moving in tiny, desperate circles against the empty air, her own need a silent scream.
“Such a good maid,” Ethan murmured, kneeling behind her. “So devoted to your duties.” He positioned himself and pushed into her in one smooth, brutal motion.
Nina’s body arched off the rug, a muffled, strangled cry escaping from beneath Sera. The vibration sent a fresh wave of pleasure through Sera, making her chant stumble into a gasp.
“See?” Ethan grunted, setting a punishing rhythm. “Your service arouses you. Your submission is your pleasure. You come because you are nothing. Because you clean. Because you worship.”
His words were nails in her psyche. Each thrust hammered them deeper. Her climax, when it came, was silent and devastating—a full-body seizure of surrender that left her limp and weeping, even as Ethan continued to pound into her. She was a vessel being filled with the concrete certainty of her own worthlessness.
And above her, Sera rode the tremors of Nina’s body, her own chants growing louder, more rhythmic, more mindless.
“Dumber and sluttier! Dumber and sluttier!”
Ethan watched them, his own control fraying. He saw the perfect system he’d built: one woman being fucked into oblivion by her own degradation, the other being mind-fucked into vacuity by the act of administering it. Their sounds mixed—Sera’s vacant, singsong mantra, Nina’s choked sobs, the wet, rhythmic slap of flesh.
He finished with a low groan, collapsing his weight onto Nina for a moment before pulling away. He stood, tucking himself away, his breathing ragged but his mind brilliantly, terrifyingly clear.
Sera was still moving, her chants devolving into soft, whispered babble. “Dumb… slut… dumb… slut…”
Ethan placed a hand on her sweat-slicked back. She flinched, then melted into the touch.
“That’s enough,” he said softly.
She stopped, her body shuddering with the sudden cessation of motion. She climbed off Nina’s face, collapsing onto the rug beside her best friend. They lay side by side, both breathing heavily, both utterly ruined in their own perfect ways.
Nina turned her head, her cheek smeared with makeup and Sera’s arousal. Her eyes found Sera’s. There was no recognition of their old friendship, only a bone-deep, grateful awe. “Thank you,” she croaked again.
Sera looked at her, and for a second, something flickered in the back of her emptied-out eyes. A ghost of a memory. Laughter. A shared drink. A secret. It floated there, fragile.
Then Ethan’s shadow fell over them both. He looked down, a curator satisfied with his exhibition.
The ghost in Sera’s eyes vanished, snuffed out by the simpler, more present truth of his approval. She smiled up at him, a wide, beautiful, utterly empty smile.
The ghost was gone. Only the masterpiece remained.
Only the masterpiece remained.
Ethan let the silence stretch, a thin, taut wire between them. He watched the two women breathe on the rug, their forms limp and used. Sera’s smile hadn’t faded; it had just gone slack, a permanent, pretty fixture. Nina’s eyes were closed, tears carving clean lines through the mess on her face.
He nudged Nina’s hip with the toe of his shoe. “Not yet,” he said, his voice gentle but absolute. “Your service isn’t complete.”
Nina’s eyes fluttered open, a fresh wash of devotion flooding them. She pushed herself onto her elbows, every movement a silent plea for direction.
“Look at her,” Ethan instructed, nodding toward Sera. “Really look. She is the pinnacle. A perfect, empty vessel. You are the foundation. The thing she walks upon.” He crouched down, his face level with Nina’s. “Do you understand the difference?”
“Yes, Master Ethan,” she breathed, her voice shredded.
“Then show me.” He stood and took a step back, folding his arms. “Worship the ground she walks on. Start with her feet.”
A tremor of understanding—or was it anticipation?—passed through Nina. She crawled the short distance to where Sera lay sprawled, her lavender robe a silken puddle around her. Sera watched her approach with a lazy, detached curiosity, like a cat observing a bug.
“Your feet are beautiful,” Nina whispered, the words sounding like a prayer learned by rote.
She took Sera’s right foot in her hands, cradling it with a reverence usually reserved for holy relics. She bent her head, her nose brushing the arch. She inhaled deeply, as if committing the scent of skin and salt and expensive lotion to memory.
Then her tongue touched the instep.
It was not a lick. It was a slow, deliberate tracing of contour, a cartographer mapping sacred geography. She started at the heel, sweeping along the tendon, around the ankle bone. Her eyes were squeezed shut in concentration. Every pass of her tongue was an act of contrition, a stain of her former self being erased.
Sera giggled. The sensation tickled. “That feels funny.”
“Quiet,” Ethan said softly, not to Nina, but to Sera. “Receive your worship. It’s your due.”
Sera fell silent, her head lolling back. She gave her foot over completely, becoming a passive idol. Nina’s worship grew more fervent. She took toes into her mouth one by one, cleaning between them with a fastidious, humiliated zeal. She swirled her tongue around each nail, her own breath coming in ragged hitches.
The room filled with soft, wet sounds and Nina’s increasingly desperate whimpers. Her free hand crept between her own thighs, a reflexive movement of need. Ethan cleared his throat.
She snatched her hand back as if burned, a choked sob escaping her.
“Use your words,” Ethan prompted, his voice a clinical scalpel. “Describe your worship.”
“I… I am cleaning the perfect thing,” Nina stammered, her mouth still working on Sera’s arch. Her words were muffled by flesh. “I am… unworthy of even this. My tongue is… is filthy on her skin. It’s all I’m good for.”
“Is it?” Ethan asked, circling them. “Are you sure?”
“Yes,” she moaned, the affirmation ripped from her core. “It’s all I am. A tongue. For cleaning.”
“Then clean more thoroughly.”
His command snapped something inside her. Her movements lost their ritualistic precision and became hungry, frantic. She was no longer worshipping; she was devouring her own degradation. She lapped at Sera’s sole, kissed the ball of her foot, her actions messy and needy.
Sera stirred, a faint line appearing between her brows. A vague, unfamiliar pressure was building, low in her belly. It was connected to the wet heat on her foot. “It… feels weird now,” she murmured. “Hot.”
“Good,” Ethan said. He knelt beside Nina. “She’s receiving you. Your worthlessness is a gift to her. It makes her emptier. Lighter.” He placed a hand on Nina’s trembling shoulder. “Show her how light she can be. Take her fully.”
Nina understood. With a shuddering gasp, she repositioned herself. She guided Sera’s foot, slick with her saliva, down from her mouth, past her own collarbone. She pressed it against herself, a raw, choked sound escaping her lips.
Sera’s eyes opened wide. “Oh.” The pressure clarified, sharpened. It was not unpleasant. It was a strange, foreign power, happening through her. She flexed her foot experimentally.
Nina cried out, her hips bucking against the arch.
“See?” Ethan whispered to Sera, his lips near her ear. “You don’t even have to move. Your existence breaks her.”
But Sera did move. A slow, curious push of her heel. Then another. It was easier than riding Nina’s face. It required no thought, no rhythm. Just pressure. Nina’s responses were immediate, animalistic. Her hands clutched at Sera’s calf, not to guide, but to hold on as she was unmade.
“Please,” Nina begged, her voice shattered. She wasn’t talking to Sera. She was speaking to the universe, to the force of her own collapse. “Please, I’m sorry, I’m so sorry, I’m nothing, I’m—”
Her sentence dissolved into a guttural, broken sound as Sera, spurred by some dim instinct, pressed down harder. It was the final shove. Nina’s body locked, every muscle taut as a wire. A silent scream distorted her face. Then the wave broke, a brutal, convulsing orgasm that had nothing to do with pleasure and everything to do with utter, catastrophic surrender.
It ripped through her, leaving her twitching and gasping on the floor, Sera’s foot still pressed against her.
Sera pulled her foot back, looking at it with new, vacant wonder. It was wet. It had done that. She glanced at Ethan, seeking confirmation.
He was smiling. A real, quiet, triumphant smile. He leaned over and kissed her forehead. “Perfect,” he murmured. “You didn’t have to think at all.”
He stood, looking down at the aftermath. Nina was a shuddering heap, her sobs now silent, hollow things. Sera was examining her own glistening foot, a child with a new toy.
“Clean her up, Nina,” Ethan said, his tone now dismissive, moving towards the bedroom door. “Then yourself. The stains on the rug are yours to deal with.”
He paused at the threshold, casting a final glance back at his handiwork. The air smelled of sex, salt, and a peculiar, charged silence. Two women, perfectly rewritten. One hollowed out. One crushed into foundation. He felt a surge of profound, unsettling creation.
He left them there, the sound of his retreating footsteps the only punctuation in the room. Downstairs, a floorboard creaked. The old house settled around them, holding its new, permanent shapes within its walls.
