Chapter 6: The Servant's Pledge
The silence after Marcus’s roar was a tangible thing, thick and heavy as the humidity. It was broken by the slow, wet sound of his spent cock sliding free of Sara, and the faint drip of his seed onto the stained mattress below.
He did not leave her crumpled over the pipe. Instead, he turned her, his movements surprisingly deft, and gathered her into his arms. She was limp, a doll with broken hinges. He lifted her easily, cradling her against his chest, one hand supporting her head. He carried her past Charly, whose weeping had subsided into shallow, shattered breaths, and laid her down on a mattress in the shadowed corner. It was relatively clean, a faded floral print stained with old water rings. From a pile of discarded clothes, he pulled a worn leather jacket and draped it over her shivering form.
Then he lay down beside her, curling his body around hers, spooning her close. His mouth was near her ear.
“Shhh,” he whispered, the sound a soft vibration against her skin. “It’s over. The hard part’s over. You did so good.” His hand stroked her arm, a slow, soothing rhythm. “You think this is the end of the world. It’s not. It’s the beginning. A new world. My world. In my world, you’re safe. No one will ever touch you unless I allow it. No one will ever frighten you again. You’ll have purpose. You’ll have a king.”
Sara lay still beneath the jacket. The pain was receding, replaced by a hollow, numb shock. But his voice was a warm stream in the freezing emptiness inside her. It promised an end to the terror, to the choices. It offered a cage, but a defined one, with rules and a protector. The man who had just brutalized her was now her only source of comfort. The cognitive dissonance was too vast; her mind simply folded around it, accepting the new reality.
She turned slowly in his arms. Her dark eyes, glassy and red-rimmed, found his. She searched his face for the cruelty, but saw only a placid, possessive certainty.
“I don’t want to go back,” she said. Her voice was a rasp, but it didn’t waver.
Marcus smiled, a small, approving curve of his lips. “Back where, sweetheart?”
“To before. To being afraid of everything. To him.” She didn’t look at Charly. “I want to be with you.”
He kissed her then. It was not the hungry, dominating kiss from earlier. It was slow, deep, and exploring. His tongue traced her lips before slipping inside. And she kissed him back. Her arms, weak and trembling, lifted to circle his neck. She surrendered to the kiss completely, a tangible seal on her spoken vow.
Marcus broke the kiss, but kept his face close. Then he looked over her shoulder, directly at Charly.
“Your woman has chosen,” he stated, his voice carrying easily across the room. “She sees the truth now. But I’m not a monster. I believe in order. In utility. You can stay. Not tied up in the corner. Not as a prisoner.” He paused, letting the offer hang in the foul air. “As a servant. You do what we say, when we say it. You keep this place clean. You run errands. In return, you get to breathe. You get a place. But first… you prove your loyalty. You prove you understand the new order.”
Charly stared, snot and tears drying on his face. “What?” he croaked.
Marcus shifted, rolling onto his back and pulling Sara atop him. She straddled his hips, the leather jacket falling away. Her body was a map of bruises and drying fluids. Marcus’s hands settled on her waist. He was already hard again, his thick cock lying against his stomach.
“You will watch,” Marcus said, his eyes locked on Charly’s. “You will watch me claim her properly. As my woman. Not as a fuckhole, but as my prize. And you will get on your knees. You will take your cock out, and you will pleasure yourself to the sight. And when you come, you will look at her, and you will say, ‘I release you. You are free to go.’”
Darnell barked a laugh. “Oh, this is good.” He stomped over to Charly, pulled a knife from his belt, and sawed through the plastic ties on his wrists. “Front row seat, bitch.”
Charly stumbled forward, his arms screaming with pins and needles. He stood, swaying, his eyes fixed on Sara, who was now looking down at Marcus with an expression he had never seen before. It was a soft, focused emptiness.
Marcus guided his cock to her entrance. She was wet, a mix of her own arousal and his previous release. He didn’t push. He let her lower herself.
Sara took him in slowly, a low moan escaping her as she sank down, taking his full length into her battered body. Her head fell back, her dark hair cascading down her back. She began to move, a slow, grinding roll of her hips.
“Do it,” Marcus grunted, his hands tightening on her. His calm was fraying, lust taking over. “Show him you belong to me. Show him what a real man feels like.”
Charly’s body betrayed him utterly. A hot, shameful rush of blood filled his cock, making it stiffen painfully against his zipper. He was disgusted with himself, horrified, but the primal scene, the sight of Sara moving with a sensual rhythm he had never elicited from her, it triggered something deep and broken within him. He fumbled with his jeans, button and fly giving way. He took himself in his hand. He was fully hard.
“Look at him, Sara,” Marcus commanded, his hips beginning to thrust up to meet her downward strokes. “Look at your old life. Pathetic.”
Sara’s eyes drifted open. She looked down at Charly, kneeling on the concrete, his hand pumping his cock. Her gaze held no love, no anger. Just a distant, pitying clarity. It was the most devastating thing he had ever seen.
“I release you,” Charly choked out. The words were sand in his throat. His hand moved faster, a rough, frantic friction. “You’re free.”
A small, sad smile touched Sara’s lips. “Thank you,” she whispered, the words barely audible over the sounds of flesh meeting flesh. Then she leaned down, capturing Marcus’s mouth in a deep, open-mouthed kiss. Her body clenched around him, her internal muscles fluttering as a low, shuddering cry was swallowed by his kiss. She was coming.
The sight, the sound, the utter finality of it broke Charly. His own orgasm ripped through him, shameful and violent. He came in hot, spurting jets onto the dirty floor, a pathetic pool at his knees. He gasped, hollowed out.
Marcus was not done. With a growl, he flipped Sara onto her back, driving her into the mattress. He shoved her legs wide, hooking them over his arms, and pounded into her with a ferocious, abandonning pace. This was claiming, territory marked with sweat and force.
“Mine!” he roared, each drive a punctuation. “Say it!”
“Yours!” Sara cried out, her voice breaking on the word, not in pain now, but in a frenzied acceptance.
With a final, seismic thrust, Marcus stilled, burying himself to the root. His body convulsed as he emptied himself inside her for the second time, a claiming that went deeper than skin. He collapsed upon her, their sweat-slick bodies heaving.
For a long moment, there was only the sound of ragged breathing.
Marcus finally pushed himself up, pulling out of her with a soft, wet sound. He stood, towering over the scene, and looked down at Charly, who still knelt in his own mess.
Darnell ambled over, a wide, genuine grin splitting his face. He clapped a heavy hand on Charly’s shaking shoulder.
“Welcome to the Black Gods, bitch,” he said, his laughter echoing off the rusted walls. “Now get your ass up and find a mop. This place is a fucking pigsty.”
