Larry ang Nancy have know each other since elementary school. They've remained casual friends over the last 40 years. Nothing special, just long time acquaintances. Then one evening at a local social event of old high school friends something unexpected happens.

Chapter 1: Cigar Smoke and Stolen Touches

The air in the cigar lounge was a thick, blue haze, smelling of rich leather and aged tobacco. It clung to the back of the throat, a familiar, almost expensive taste. Nancy swirled the gin in her glass, watching the ice cubes melt. Across the table, Larry was talking about his business, his voice a low, steady rumble against the hum of other conversations.

She’d known him for over fifty years. Since grade school. He was still the shy boy, just in a man’s body now, his hair gone more salt than pepper. He was handsome in a way she’d only recently allowed herself to acknowledge.

“So, this villa in Costa Rica,” she said, cutting gently into his story about supply chain issues. “I’m intrigued. Tell me about the water situation.”

Larry looked pleasantly surprised by the shift. “Water situation?”

“You know. Pools, ocean access. That kind of thing.” She took a slow sip of her drink, the gin sharp and clean. Then, under the solid oak table, she slipped her foot out of its heel. The floor was cool. She stretched her leg, the sheer nylon of her stocking whispering against her own calf before it made contact with the rough wool of his trousers.

He stopped talking. His whole body went still.

Her stockinged foot climbed his calf, a slow, deliberate pressure. She watched his face. His eyes, a warm brown, widened just a fraction. His breath hitched, a tiny, almost imperceptible sound swallowed by the lounge’s ambiance. He didn’t pull away.

Nancy let a slow smile touch her lips. She leaned in slightly, her voice dropping to a purr that was just for him. “I bet a place like that has some very… private pools.”

Her hand, which had been resting on the table beside her glass, drifted down into her lap. Then, it slid across the cracked leather of the booth seat, hidden by the table’s shadow. Her fingertips found the hard line of his thigh, and she traced it upwards, feeling the muscle tense beneath the fabric. Higher. Her knuckles brushed against the fly of his slacks. She felt the outline of him, already hard and pressing against the constraint of his zipper.

Larry made a choked sound. “Nancy.” It was half-question, half-plea.

“Shhh,” she murmured, her eyes locked on his. She pressed her palm flat against the bulge, feeling its heat and solidity. She could feel his heart hammering through his clothes. “Don’t think. Just tell me you feel this too.”

He was frozen, a statue in a bespoke suit. His gaze darted around the room, a frantic, paranoid sweep, before landing back on her. The conflict in his eyes was a physical thing. Then, his hand moved under the table. His fingers, thick and warm, closed over her wrist. Not to push her away. To hold her there.

“Christ,” he breathed, his voice ragged.

“My car is in the back lot,” she said, her voice low and urgent. It wasn’t a question. It was a statement of fact. An itinerary.

He just nodded, a sharp, jerky movement.

She withdrew her hand slowly, letting her fingers drag across him one last time. She slid out of the booth, smooth and practiced, as if she did this every day. She left a fifty on the table for the drinks. “Follow me in five minutes. Black sedan.”

She didn’t look back. She walked out of the lounge, the heels of her pumps clicking a steady, confident rhythm on the hardwood floor. The night air was a cold shock after the lounge’s warmth. Her own heart was thudding against her ribs, a wild, frantic drumbeat. What the hell was she doing? She was a mother. A wife. She was Nancy Thompson, for God’s sake.

She unlocked the car and slid into the driver’s seat, the leather cool through her dress. The interior light went out, plunging her into darkness. She waited. Two minutes. Three.

The passenger door opened. Larry slid in, filling the space with his scent—cigar smoke, whiskey, and pure, unadulterated male tension. The door thudded shut, and the silence was absolute, broken only by the sound of their breathing.

“Nancy,” he started, his voice strained.

She didn’t let him finish. She leaned across the center console, grabbed the lapels of his jacket, and crushed her mouth to his.

It wasn’t a gentle kiss. It was all pent-up hunger and twenty years of unspoken curiosity. His lips were firm, and he tasted of Scotch. For a second, he was rigid with shock, then a groan ripped from his throat and his hands came up to frame her face, his fingers tangling in her hair. He kissed her back with a desperation that matched her own, his tongue sweeping into her mouth, claiming it.

She broke the kiss, gasping. “Back seat. Now.”

They fumbled between the seats, a clumsy, urgent scramble of limbs and rustling fabric. He ended up on his back, and she climbed atop him, her knees straddling his hips in the confined space. The streetlight from the parking lot cast a weak, orange glow through the rear window, illuminating the sharp planes of his face.

“I need to feel you,” she whispered, her hands working at his belt. The buckle clinked, loud in the quiet car. She yanked his slacks and boxers down just enough, freeing his cock. It stood thick and hard against his stomach. She wrapped her fingers around him, stroking once, twice, feeling the silken skin over the rigid core.

“Fuck, Nancy,” he groaned, his hips bucking off the seat.

She hiked up her dress, bunching it around her waist. She wasn’t wearing stockings with a garter belt, just practical, sheer pantyhose. With a grimace of impatience, she hooked her thumbs into the waistband and tore them down, the nylon ripping with a satisfying sound. She positioned herself over him, guiding him to her entrance. She was already wet, slick with anticipation.

She sank down onto him in one slow, inexorable motion, taking him all the way inside her. He was big, filling her completely, stretching her in a way that was almost too much. A sharp, pleasurable gasp escaped her lips.

“Oh, god,” Larry choked out, his hands flying to her hips, his fingers digging into her flesh through her dress.

For a moment, she just stayed there, impaled, feeling the throb of him inside her. Then she began to move. A slow, rolling grind of her hips at first, then faster, building a rhythm. The car creaked softly with their motion. His grip on her hips tightened, his own hips meeting her thrust for thrust.

She leaned forward, bracing her hands on his shoulders, and looked down into his face. His eyes were screwed shut, his jaw clenched tight. Sweat beaded on his forehead.

“Look at me, Larry,” she commanded, her voice husky.

His eyes flew open. The raw need in them was breathtaking.

“This is happening,” she said, driving down onto him harder, faster. “You and me. This is real.”

“Yes,” he hissed, his control shattering. He surged up, wrapping his arms around her and flipping them over in a surprisingly powerful move. Her back pressed into the soft leather of the seat. Now he was on top, looming over her, his weight a delicious anchor.

He drove into her, his thrusts becoming deeper, more frantic. The car rocked. The windows began to fog. She wrapped her legs high around his waist, locking her ankles, pulling him deeper with every plunge. She could hear the wet, slapping sound of their bodies meeting, the ragged symphony of their breathing. She turned her face into his neck, biting down on the soft fabric of his shirt to stifle her cry as the orgasm built, a coil of white-hot pleasure tightening low in her belly.

“I’m gonna come,” he grunted, his rhythm becoming erratic, brutal.

“Do it,” she gasped. “Come inside me.”

That was all it took. With a guttural roar that was torn from the depths of him, he slammed into her one last time and held there, shuddering. She felt the hot, pulsing release of him filling her, and that sensation, so intimate and so forbidden, tipped her over the edge. Her own climax ripped through her, a silent, screaming wave that left her trembling and boneless beneath him.

For a long time, the only sound was their heaving breaths, slowly returning to normal. The windows were completely fogged now, sealing them in their own private, humid world.

He finally collapsed onto her, his weight heavy and comforting. She could feel the frantic beat of his heart against her chest, slowly calming. His face was buried in her neck.

Neither of them spoke. What was there to say?

After a minute, he shifted, pulling out of her. The loss was immediate and physical. He awkwardly pulled his clothes back into place, the silence now thick and awkward.

Nancy sat up, smoothing her dress down. She felt the sticky wetness between her thighs, a stark reminder of what they’d just done. She looked at him, really looked at him. The shy man was back, his eyes clouded with confusion and what looked like shame.

He cleared his throat. “I should… I should go.”

She just nodded.

He fumbled for the door handle, opened it, and slipped out into the night without another word. The car door closed with a soft, final thud.

Nancy sat in the back seat of her sedan, alone in the fogged-up silence. She brought her fingers to her lips, which were still swollen from his kisses. Then she let her head fall back against the seat and closed her eyes. A slow, secret smile spread across her face. It had been a very, very long time.
