Chapter 4: The Test of Devotion

The morning light shifted from gold to white as Peter's breathing finally steadied. He remained on the floor, back pressed against the cold glass, his legs sprawled before him like a man who'd been caught in a tidal wave. The afterimages of his orgasm still flickered behind his eyes, and his cock—soft now, slick with her spit—twitched weakly against his thigh.

Betsy watched him with that predatory patience she had perfected over decades of hunting. She hadn't moved from her crouch. Her robe hung open, revealing the lean planes of her stomach, the sharp jut of her hipbones, the dark triangle of hair between her thighs. She looked like a goddess who'd just accepted an offering.

"Beautiful," she murmured, almost to herself. "You're absolutely beautiful like this, Peter. Broken open. Raw. Honest."

He should have felt shame. He'd felt shame before—so many times, over so many things. But lying there, with the taste of her still on his tongue and the weight of his promise settling into his bones, he felt nothing but a strange, humming peace.

"I need a shower," he said, his voice hoarse.

Betsy laughed, rising to her feet with fluid grace. "Is that your way of asking for permission?"

Peter blinked up at her. The question hung in the air between them, a trap disguised as a courtesy, and he realized with a jolt that she was serious. She was waiting. Watching.

"May I—" He stopped, swallowed. The words felt foreign in his mouth. "May I take a shower?"

Her smile widened. "There he is. That's the boy I knew was hiding in there." She extended a hand, and Peter took it, letting her pull him to his feet. "Yes, you may. But don't think this is over. We're just getting started."

The bathroom was as opulent as the rest of the penthouse—black marble, brushed nickel fixtures, a shower that could have fit half the Avengers. Peter stepped under the spray, letting the hot water pound against his shoulders, and tried to think.

This was insane. He knew it was insane. He'd made a vow, a binding promise, to one of the most dangerous women on the planet. He'd agreed to serve her forever. And yet, as the water sluiced over his skin, he couldn't muster even a shred of regret.

Maybe that was the problem. Maybe that was exactly what she wanted.

The glass door opened behind him, and Peter turned to find Betsy stepping into the shower, naked, her dark hair plastered to her skull. She moved like water herself, curling into his space, her hands sliding up his chest.

"Shower time is over," she said, her voice low and rough. "I've got a better idea."

She pushed him against the cold tile, her body pressing against his, and Peter gasped as her hand found his cock—already stirring again despite everything. She stroked him slowly, deliberately, and he felt that psychic hum building in his mind again.

"You think you're done?" She was whispering, her lips brushing his ear. "You think one orgasm is enough? I've barely begun to play with you, little spider."

Her grip tightened, and Peter groaned. "Betsy, I—"

"No." She cut him off with a kiss, hard and commanding. "You don't get to talk. You get to feel."

She dropped to her knees in the shower, water cascading over her shoulders, and took him into her mouth with a hunger that made his knees buckle. She sucked him deep, her tongue working along his length, and the psychic amplification hit him like a freight train.

Peter's head fell back against the tile. The sensation was overwhelming—the heat of her mouth, the cold spray of the water, the relentless pressure of her throat. She was devouring him, consuming him, and he could feel her pleasure reverberating through their connection, feeding on his own.

"Fuck," he hissed. "Fuck, Betsy, fuck—"

She pulled off with a wet pop, her hand still stroking him as she looked up. Water dripped from her lashes, and her violet eyes burned with something that might have been love or might have been obsession.

"Say my name again," she commanded. "Say it like you mean it."

"Betsy." His voice cracked. "Betsy, please—"

"Please what?"

"Please let me come. Please—God—please—"

She smiled, and it was the smile of a predator who had cornered her prey. "You'll come when I decide. Not before. Understand?"

"Yes. Yes, I understand."

She took him back into her mouth, and this time she was relentless. She worked him with a rhythm born of decades of practice, her hand twisting at the base while her throat swallowed him deep. The psychic feedback loop intensified until Peter couldn't tell where her pleasure ended and his began.

He was already so close. He was right on the edge, hovering, trembling. And then she did something—a flick of her tongue, a shift in pressure, a twist of her mental grip—and he was falling.

He came with a cry that was almost a scream, his release flooding her mouth, and she swallowed every drop without flinching. She milked him until he was empty, until his legs gave out and he slid down the tile to the floor of the shower.

She rose above him, water streaming off her body, and crouched down to cup his face.

"Good boy," she murmured. "Now let's get you dried off. I've got more plans for you."

The bedroom had changed while they were in the shower.

Peter noticed it immediately—the way the furniture had been rearranged, the way the light had shifted, the way the air felt thicker, heavier. In the center of the room, where the bed had been, there now stood a St. Andrew's cross, its obsidian frame gleaming with a wicked sheen.

Peter's breath caught. He looked at Betsy, who was toweling her hair with an almost casual indifference.

"You said you wanted more," she said, catching his gaze. "So I'm giving you more."

"That's—" He swallowed. "That's a lot more."

"It's exactly what you need." She dropped the towel and walked toward the cross, her body swaying with each step. "Come here."

Peter followed. He couldn't remember making the decision to move, but his feet carried him forward anyway. He stopped in front of the cross, and Betsy turned to face him.

"I'm going to bind you to this," she said, her voice matter-of-fact. "And then I'm going to fuck you. I'm going to ride you until you can't think, until you can't breathe, until the only thing left in your head is me."

Peter's cock, which had just begun to soften, stirred again.

"You have a safe word," she continued. "Say 'red' if it becomes too much, and I'll stop. But I don't think you're going to use it."

She gestured, and Peter felt his arms lift—not by his own will, but by hers. His wrists were caught in psychic binds, drawn up and out to the crossbeams. His ankles followed, spreading him open, and then the restraints solidified, not with rope or leather, but with pure telekinetic force.

"Betsy." His voice was strained. "This is—"

"This is what you agreed to," she said, stepping between his spread legs. She pressed her body against his, skin to skin, and the warmth of her traveled through him like a current. "This is what happens when you give yourself to someone like me."

She kissed him slow, almost tender, and then she reached between them, guiding his cock to her entrance.

Peter felt her heat, her wetness, her readiness. She was soaked—had been soaking this whole time, he realized. She'd been enjoying this as much as he had.

"I'm going to make you forget every other woman you've ever been with," she whispered against his lips. "I'm going to brand myself into your soul."

And then she sank down onto him.

The sensation was blinding. She was tight, so tight, and the psychic amplification made it feel like she was everywhere at once—inside his body, inside his mind, wrapping around him like a second skin. He gripped the invisible restraints, his muscles straining, and let out a sound that was half-groan, half-sob.

"Fuck," he gasped. "Fuck, Betsy—"

"Shh." She began to move, slow at first, a languid roll of her hips that made his eyes roll back. "Let me have you."

She rode him with a steady, patient rhythm, her nails raking down his chest, leaving red lines in their wake. She was in complete control, and he was helpless beneath her—just as she wanted.

"I've had a lot of lovers," she said, her voice barely a breath. "A lot of strong men who thought they could handle me. But none of them could hold me. None of them could give me what I need."

She leaned forward, pressing her lips to his ear.

"You're different, Peter. You're stronger. And that makes you so much more delicious to break."

She slammed down onto him, hard, and Peter cried out. She did it again, and again, each impact driving him deeper, each thrust sending a shockwave of pleasure through his entire body.

"Come inside me," she commanded, her rhythm quickening. "Come inside me, and I'll make you forget everything else."

Peter was close. So close. He could feel the orgasm building, coiling at the base of his spine, threatening to consume him. But he held back, desperate to make it last, desperate to savor every second.

"Please," he begged, the word torn from his lips. "Please, Betsy, I'm—"

"Come," she whispered. "Now."

His release tore through him like lightning, and she cried out with him, her walls clenching around him as she came. They rode the wave together, psychic energy crackling between them, until they collapsed into a heap on the floor.

For a long moment, neither of them spoke. Peter lay on his back, gasping for breath, while Betsy curled against him, her head on his chest.

"That was," he started, then stopped. There weren't words.

"I know," she said softly. "I know."

She looked up at him, and for the first time since this had all begun, her eyes held something other than confidence. They held uncertainty. Vulnerability.

"Are you okay?" she asked. "Really okay?"

Peter thought about it. He thought about the promises he'd made, the woman he'd given himself to, the path he'd chosen. He thought about everything he'd sacrificed and everything he'd gained.

"Yeah," he said finally. "I'm okay. I'm more than okay."

She smiled—a real smile, not the predatory grin she'd worn before. Then she leaned down and kissed him, and Peter felt something settle deep in his chest.

He was hers now. Forever.

And he'd never wanted anything more.
