Chapter 2: The Harvest Ritual

The device in Harry’s hand glinted, a cold promise of violation. Ben’s breath came in short, sharp gasps, the ache in his groin a throbbing counterpoint to the panic hammering against his ribs. He could still feel the ghost of Harry’s touch, the cruel precision of his stop.

“Cultivate,” Ben echoed, the word tasting of dirt and ruin.

“Precisely.” Harry knelt, setting the device on the floor beside him. He didn’t pick it up again. Not yet. Instead, he simply looked, his gaze traveling over Ben’s exposed body with a reverence that felt like a desecration. “The initial surge was promising. But the true catalyst requires sustained peak neurological excitation. It’s not about a single event. It’s about the plateau. The extended brink.”

His hand returned, not with the clinical device, but with his bare fingers. They traced the inside of Ben’s thigh, a feather-light, maddening touch. Ben jerked against the straps, a useless tremor.

“Don’t,” Ben whispered, but it sounded less like a command and more like a plea.

“Shhh.” Harry’s voice was a low, hypnotic murmur. “Think of it as a collaboration. Your body is producing a miracle, Ben. I’m just… facilitating the collection.” His fingers finally made contact again, wrapping around him with a familiarity that made Ben’s stomach twist. He began to move, agonizingly slow. “The biochemical symphony is fascinating. Adrenaline, cortisol from the stress—they mingle with dopamine, oxytocin. It creates a cocktail unique to this state of protracted… anticipation. My formula is integrating with it now, cell by cell. It’s learning you.”

Ben squeezed his eyes shut. He tried to retreat into his mind, to the memory of swinging over the city at dawn, the wind clean and cold, the world asleep and peaceful below. But Harry’s voice slithered through the imagery.

“You have no idea how beautiful this is,” Harry breathed, his rhythm infinitesimally increasing. A fraction faster. “The vascular engorgement is a testament to your enhanced physiology. The thickness, the heat… it’s all raw power. Waiting to be transmuted.”

The words were absurd, grotesque. But they coiled around Ben’s consciousness, warping his shame. This wasn’t a random act of violence. It was a ritual. A perverse recognition of what he was. His body, traitorously, responded to the attention, to the focused, possessive awe. The ache built again, a deep, pulling need that began to mute the sharper edges of his terror.

“I can feel the tremor in your abdominal muscles,” Harry observed, his tone conversational, as if discussing a weather pattern. “Fascinating. Your entire system is oriented toward release. But we’re going to hold it right there. We’re going to let it simmer.”

He slowed down again, just as the pressure crested. Ben groaned, his head falling back against the metal with a dull thud. He hated the sound that escaped him. It was need, pure and simple.

“See?” Harry’s thumb swept a slick, tight circle. “Your body understands the program even if your mind resists. It’s so honest.”

“Fuck you,” Ben spat, but it lacked force, his voice frayed.

“All that energy,” Harry continued, ignoring him, his hand now a steady, maddening tease. “All that potent life, usually wasted on brief moments of pleasure or lost in the sheets while you sleep. I’m giving it a higher purpose. When I finally feel my own cells vibrating with this potential, when I can shoot a web of my own design… I’ll think of you. I’ll thank you, Ben. Every time.”

The manipulation was expertly layered. It offered a twisted form of legacy, of connection. Ben’s loneliness, that silent void he carried beneath the heroics, echoed hollowly. Here was someone who saw every part of him, who wanted all of him, with a feverish intensity no lover ever had. The wrongness of it was a screaming alarm in one part of his brain. Another part, worn down by isolation and the sheer physical torment, whispered that being needed this deeply was its own kind of belonging.

His hips gave another small, involuntary jerk. A silent plea.

Harry smiled, a thin, genuine curve of his lips. “There you are. No more pretense. It’s just biology. Physics. Tension seeking release.”

He sped up, his strokes becoming deliberate, perfect. The world narrowed to the basement, to the strap-bite on his wrists, to that insistent, gathering fire. Ben’s breaths were ragged pants. He was climbing again, faster this time, the edge rushing up to meet him. His muscles corded, trembling. He was going to fall. He couldn’t stop it.

“Yes,” Harry whispered, his own breathing slightly quickened. His eyes were fixed, unblinking, on Ben’s face. “Now, Ben. Let me see it. Show me the source.”

Ben arched, a strangled cry building in his throat. The peak was a white-hot brand inches away.

Harry stopped.

His hand became a statue. The sensation didn’t fade—it screamed, a sudden, violent vacuum of unfinished impulse. Ben shouted, a raw, animal sound of frustration that tore through the humid air. He strained against the restraints with every ounce of his strength, the nylon cutting deeper, the metal chair groaning in protest. Tears of furious helplessness blurred his vision.

“Excellent,” Harry said, his voice vibrating with excitement. He released Ben completely, picking up the device. He clicked a switch. A soft, mechanical whir filled the space. “The neuro-chemical signature is now optimally potent. The frustration amplifies the key compounds. Perfect.”

Ben slumped, spent and shaking, a vessel emptied of everything but a deep, shuddering anguish. He was utterly exposed, not just in body, but in spirit. Harry had found the raw nerve of his loneliness and his pride, and was playing it like an instrument.

Harry leaned close, the cold tip of the device touching Ben’s thigh. “This will feel strange. Not painful. Just… intimate.”
