An evil woman grew up in the slums of New York. She wasn’t always evil though. She was bornto two normal looking parents on the surface. Underneath they were anything but. Her father, a master wizard, was equally evil if not worse than the woman and psychopathic while her mother, a fairy, was a meek and sickly sweet person with a kleptomaniac mentality. Her father would beat and torture the woman when she young and her mother would steal all things and any money she tried to save to get out that hell hole. All that abuse and trauma is what turned her evil in the first place. The only person to ever give even a glimpse of love and care was her grandmother. Just before she died, her grandmother took her to a witch when she young and turned her into a voodoo doll so any pain or injury that someone did or even wished to do would come back on the person times 10. When her parents learned this they kicked her out on the street when she was just 18. This did nothing but make her more evil and trust people less. As she grew she became a leader of the most notorious and deadly crime organization in the world. Wealth and power came to her easily. The thought of her name had grown men and other leaders shaking in their boots. On the surface the woman had every thing she could ever want. Everything except..a mate. A matter she was never concerned with but another crime organization had been threatening her territory lately. Sure she could just use her own dark magic or voodoo doll abilities to just wipe them out but she had been advised that would be a mistake because they control most of the coast and it would her cash flow in the long run. To broker peace both sides advisors suggested an arranged marriage between her and the don, a vampire man known for his ruthlessness and his distain of females. Neither of them like the arrangement but understand the logistics around it. Will they find out they have more in common and fall in love, try and kill each other to try take over both territories or maybe a little of both?

Chapter 9: The Morning After the Storm

Dawn crept through the sheer curtains like a thief, spilling honeyed light across the rumpled silk sheets. Bianca lay still, her cheek pressed against the cool linen of the pillow, and for one suspended moment she did not remember where she was. Then she felt it: the weight of Tomas's arm, heavy and possessive, wrapped around her waist. The slow absence of heartbeat against her back. The quiet hum of the bond, no longer a demanding ache but something settled, almost content.

She had not slept beside anyone in years. Not since she'd crawled out of that Brooklyn hellhole with nothing but her grandmother's locket and a curse that made her untouchable. Yet here she lay, tangled in the limbs of a three-hundred-year-old vampire, her cunt still sore from how he'd filled her, her thighs still slick with the evidence of his spending.

The intimacy of it made her skin crawl and her chest ache in equal measure. She breathed through the strange sensation, cataloguing it like a threat assessment. A weakness. A liability.

Carefully, silently, she slid out from under his arm. The mattress barely shifted as she rose, her bare feet landing on the plush rug. She did not look back at him. She refused to look back at him. Her own skin gleamed in the dawn light, the dark chocolate of her body painted with gold, and she padded across the room to the en suite bathroom, her tail swaying lazily behind her.

The shower was scalding. She stood under the spray, letting it beat against her shoulders, watching the evidence of last night swirl down the drain. His seed, her slick, the faint smear of blood from where his fangs had punctured her neck during the height of it. She pressed her fingers to the twin marks there, still tender. He had bitten her. She had let him. Worse, she had wanted him to.

The curse did not trigger. No rebound of pain. The bite had been given with love, or hunger, or whatever this maddening pull between them was. Not cruelty.

What a strange and terrible thing.

She washed herself with brutal efficiency, scrubbing her skin until it was pink, as if she could scrape away the vulnerability the night had exposed. But the bond still hummed beneath her sternum, and when she stepped out of the shower and wrapped herself in a thick robe, she felt him waiting for her. Not through the bond, not precisely. But she knew he was awake. She felt his attention like a weight on her skin.

Bianca dried her dreadlocks with a towel, leaving them loose and damp around her shoulders, and walked back into the bedroom. Her robe was loosely tied at her waist, revealing the valley of her breasts, the long column of her throat. She did not bother to tighten it as she opened her armoire and pulled out fresh underthings.

He was watching her. She felt his gaze travel from her bare ankles up the length of her legs, lingering where the robe parted, then rising to meet her own eyes. He reclined against the headboard, his bone-pale skin stark against the dark sheets, his chest bare. The sheets pooled at his hips, hinting at the body beneath: lean, muscled, utterly still. His eyes held that dark, predatory depth she was becoming accustomed to.

"The truce," he said, his voice a low rumble, "seems to have expired."

Bianca arched an eyebrow, sliding a black lace thong up her legs with deliberate slowness. "A truce implies we stopped fighting. I don't recall a ceasefire."

"You screamed my name last night. Demanded my cock. Commanded me to fill you." He spoke without shame, his gaze pinned to her. "That sounds like surrender to me."

A flash of fury flared through her, hot and bright. She stilled, the camisole in her hands, and turned to face him fully. "I commanded. You obeyed. I'd call that you surrendering to me."

"Semantics." He shifted, and the sheets fell away. He was already hard, his cock standing thick and proud against his stomach, and Bianca's mouth went dry at the sight of it. "I want to know what you want, Bianca. Now that the hunger has been fed."

Her pulse quickened. She dropped the camisole back onto the armoire and let the robe fall open. She wore only the thong now, her body on display for him, the deep brown of her skin luminous in the morning light. Her breasts were bare, their tips already tightening under his gaze.

"I want my territory secure," she said, her voice low. "I want Aldous Vane's head on a pike. I want the port agreements signed before the month is out."

"Those are business dealings." He swung his legs off the bed and rose, crossing the room with that preternatural stillness. He stopped before her, close enough that she could feel the chill of his body despite the warmth of the robing sunlight. "I asked what you want. From me."

Her jaw tightened. A beat of silence stretched between them, the bond thrumming with tension. She could feel his unsettled emotion, raw and unexplored, and it made her want to run. Or claw. Or push him onto the bed and ride him until he forgot his own name.

"I don't know what I want from you," she admitted, the words tasting like ash in her mouth. "I've never had to want anything from someone before. I take what I need. I've never needed anyone."

"And yet you're standing here. Bare. Letting me look at you." He reached out, his fingers trailing from her collarbone down to the valley of her breasts. The touch was light, barely there, yet it burned. "The bond wants what it wants. Whatever you pretend for the world, the bond knows you craved me last night. Craved me in your mouth, in your cunt."

"I wanted a good fuck," she said flatly. "I got one. The best cock in the room. It left me satisfied. What more do you expect?"

He laughed, a low, dark sound that vibrated through her bones. "You're a terrible liar, little witch. Your heartbeat is racing. The bond is purring like a cat against my chest. You want something. Something you've never let yourself have."

His hand slid lower, over her stomach, to the waistband of her thong. He didn't push inside, just let his fingers rest there, an unbearable lightness of touch. Bianca's breath hitched.

"I want you to stop pretending," he said softly, and there was something almost vulnerable beneath his arrogance. "I want you to say it. If only once. That this terrifies you because it's real."

She stared at him. The morning light cast his angular features in sharp relief, making him look older, more ancient, more exhausted. For the first time, she saw him not as the ruthless don of an opposing cartel, but as a man. A creature who had lived more than three centuries of isolation, of control, of never letting anyone close.

"I don't know if I can say that," she whispered. "I don't know if I know how."

"Then show me."

He pulled her into his arms, and she went willingly. Her body pressed against his, the chill of his flesh against the heat of hers, and his mouth descended on hers. The kiss was not hungry, not this time, but searching. A question, asked again and again, with no demand for an answer. His tongue swept against hers, slow and deep, and she felt her eyes sting with something she refused to name.

His hands roamed her back, cupping her ass through the lace, and then he walked her backwards until her knees hit the mattress. He did not push her down. He waited, forehead resting against hers, breathless despite having no breath to catch.

"Tell me what you want," he repeated.

She looked into those dark, ancient eyes. The bond hummed between them, no longer content but expectant, hungry in a way that had nothing to do with flesh.

"Stay," she said, and the word came out raw, stripped of all armor. "Stay with me. Don't leave. Don't let me push you away."

His jaw tightened. A muscle ticked. Then he pressed her down onto the sheets, his body covering hers, his cock nudging against the lace of her thong.

"Then you'll have to let me," he murmured against her throat. "You'll have to let me in."

And she did. She arched into him, letting him peel away the lace, letting him settle between her thighs. He did not rush. He kissed a slow path down her body, over her sternum, down her stomach, until his mouth found the dark curls between her legs. She cried out as his tongue swept through her folds, tasting her, drinking her in like a man dying of thirst.

But he did not stop there for long. He drew himself up, positioning his cock at her entrance, and held her gaze.

"I want you to look at me," he said. "When I'm inside you. Look at me."

She nodded, not trusting her voice. And as he pushed inside, slow and thick and utterly consuming, she kept her eyes open, watching him. The bond blazed between them, amplifying every inch, every stretch, every beat of her pulse against his sheathed length.

"Fuck," she breathed. "Oh, fuck, Tomas."

He drove deeper, seating himself fully, and the feeling was so exquisite she thought she might shatter. He began to move, a slow, rolling rhythm that had her clutching at his shoulders, his back, scraping her nails down his skin.

"Look at me," he ground out, and she did. She watched the strain in his jaw, the hunger in his eyes, the impossible tenderness buried beneath it all.

And she knew, with a certainty that terrified her more than any weapon or rival ever had, that she was not going to let him go.

Tomas drove into her with a slow, deliberate depth that made her see stars behind her lids. His cock filled her completely, stretching her slick channel, and the bond amplified every sensation until she felt as though she were drowning in him. Her nails bit into his shoulders, drawing faint crescents of blood from flesh that healed almost before the marks could form.

"Faster," she snarled, her hips rising to meet him. "Don't you dare go gentle with me."

His answering smile was all fang. "Never."

He withdrew until only the head remained, then slammed back in with a force that drove a broken cry from her throat. The bed frame groaned against the wall. Her tail lashed against the sheets, curling around his thigh, pulling him deeper. He grunted low in his chest, a sound that vibrated through her bones, and set a rhythm that was punishing and perfect.

She watched him. She kept her eyes on him as ordered, watched the way his pale skin flushed with stolen warmth, the way his jaw clenched with restraint he was barely maintaining, the way his dark eyes seemed to see straight through her into something she'd never let anyone glimpse. The bond thrummed between them, raw and electric, and she felt his pleasure like her own: the tight clamp of her cunt around him, the wet heat of her body accepting him, the frantic pulse of her heart against his frost-cold chest.

"Touch yourself," he commanded, nodding down at where their bodies joined. "I want to feel you come around my cock."

Her hand slid down her stomach, through her dark curls, and she found her clit swollen and aching. She circled it in tempo with his thrusts, her breath coming in ragged gasps. The dual sensation of his thick length driving into her and her own fingers working her flesh built a pressure low in her belly, unbearable and exquisite.

"That's it," he gritted out. "Squeeze me. I can feel how close you are. Do it. Come on my cock, Bianca. Come for me."

The filthy command broke something loose in her. She cried out, a raw, animal sound torn from the back of her throat, and her body convulsed around him. Waves of pleasure crashed through her, making her vision white out at the edges. Through the haze, she felt him follow, felt his cock pulse and twitch inside her as he emptied himself with a guttural curse, his hips grinding against hers as he spent.

They lay tangled together, panting, the bond quieting into that strange contentment again. His weight was heavy on her, his face buried in the crook of her neck, his breath cool against her sweat-slicked skin. She should push him off. She should reassert distance, control, the careful walls she'd built over decades of survival.

Instead, her fingers found their way into his dark hair, tracing the strands with an absent tenderness that shocked her.

He stirred, lifting his head to look at her. Those ancient eyes were softer than she'd ever seen them, the predatory hunger banked to embers. "What are you thinking?"

She considered lying. The habit was so ingrained that the words nearly rose automatically. But the bond hummed warningly, and she found she didn't have the energy for deception.

"That I've never had this." She gestured vaguely between them. "Someone who can take everything I give and give it back. Someone who isn't afraid of the monster."

His hand traced the curve of her jaw. "I've lived three hundred years. I've seen empires rise and fall, watched entire bloodlines wither into dust. And I've never met a creature who could match me the way you do." A pause. "The bond chose well."

"The bond didn't choose anything. We chose." She held his gaze. "We chose this arrangement. The power, the territory, the alliance. This was logistics."

"Was it?" He shifted, and his softening cock slipped from her body, dragging a shuddering breath from her. He rolled onto his back, staring up at the ceiling. "Because I've conducted a great many logistical negotiations in my life. None of them ended with me buried inside my counterpart at dawn, feeling like I'd found something I didn't know I'd lost."

She propped herself up on one elbow, studying his profile. The sharp lines of his face, the stillness of his chest, the impossible age written into the depths of his eyes. "What do you want, Tomas? From this. From me. In the long term."

He was quiet for a long moment. When he spoke, his voice was low, careful, as though he were treading through a minefield. "I want an heir."

Her blood went cold. She sat up sharply, pulling the sheet to her chest with a defensive motion. "An heir. You mean a child."

"I mean a successor. A continuation of my bloodline, my house, the empire I've built over centuries." He turned to look at her, and there was no guile in his expression. "The bond has made you my mate in every sense that matters. Vampire blood has strange properties. A half-fairy, half-witch carrying my child would be powerful beyond measure."

"Powerful, or controllable?" Her voice had sharpened to a blade. "A child as a leash. A way to ensure I don't turn on you once Aldous falls."

Fury flickered across his features. "Is that truly what you think of me? That I would use a child as leverage?"

"You tried to control me with a handmaid the morning after our wedding. You keep your own counsel on matters that affect us both. You haven't given me a single reason to trust you beyond the fact that you fuck me well." She rose from the bed, naked, her chin high. "Why would I believe your desire for an heir is anything but another move in the game?"

He rose as well, crossing to her with that preternatural stillness. His hand came up to cup her cheek, and despite her rage, she did not pull away. "Because I am asking you to stay. Not because of the territory. Not because of the alliance. Because of this." He pressed his hand to her chest, over her heart. "The bond. This thing between us that neither of us asked for and neither of us can deny."

"And what does this thing give me that I couldn't achieve alone?"

"Someone who will never betray you." His voice dropped to a whisper. "Someone who understands that trust is not given cheaply, because I have lived three centuries without trusting a single soul. And I trust you, Bianca. Against every instinct I possess, I trust you."

The words hung between them. She searched his face for lies, for schemes, for the careful manipulation she knew so well from her own repertoire. She found none.

"An heir," she repeated slowly. "You want to put a child in me."

"Yes." His hands moved to her hips, pulling her against him. "When you're ready. When we've settled the matter of Aldous. When you tell me that you want it too. Not before."

"And until then?"

He kissed her, slow and deep, and when he pulled back, there was a ghost of a smile on his lips. "Until then, we take territory. We destroy our enemies. We learn each other's secrets, the ones we've never told anyone. And we see if this thing between us is strong enough to build something on."

She pressed her forehead to his, her breath mingling with the absence of his. "That's a very dangerous thing you're proposing, Don Rojas. Building something. With me."

"I know." His hands tightened on her hips. "That's exactly why I want it."
