Chapter 2: Building Tension
The apartment was a sanctuary of sorts, a refuge from the world outside. It was small, almost claustrophobic in its intimacy, with every inch of space speaking volumes about Alex's life. Posters of ancient civilizations and mythological creatures adorned the walls, a testament to his academic pursuits and fascinations. The air was thick with the scent of old books and the faint aroma of stale pizza from the box crumpled in the corner. A worn-out couch, its cushions sunken in from years of use, sat haphazardly in the center of the room, a blanket tossed carelessly over the back.
Beside it, a small table with a single lamp cast a warm, golden glow over a pile of books, their spines cracked and well-loved. The titles were varied, ranging from dry academic texts to fantastical tomes of myth and legend.
Alex, or rather, Arachne, as she seemed to be now, took tentative steps towards the couch. The spider legs moved with a rhythm all their own, clicking softly against the hardwood floor. She could feel the tension in her human body, the fear and the disbelief, but her spider half seemed to revel in the sensation, in the unfamiliar dance of movement.
She watched herself in the reflection of a poster on the wall, the sight of herself moving on eight legs both alien and mesmerizing. It was a symphony of contradictions, this body she now inhabited, part human, part creature, a fusion of flesh and chitin that defied logic and nature.
As she reached the couch, she hesitated, her human mind still grappling with the reality of her new form. She could feel the cushions beneath her spider legs, the softness a stark contrast to the hardness of the floor she had just left. She sat down gingerly, her legs shifting awkwardly, trying to find purchase on the unfamiliar surface.
The cushions sank under her weight, enveloping her in a soft, yielding embrace. She leaned back, the tangle of her long hair cascading over her shoulders and down her back, brushing against the cushions. The light from the lamp cast a warm, golden glow over her face, highlighting the high cheekbones and the fullness of her lips. Her eyes were wide with wonder and fear, her gaze darting from one side of the room to the other, taking in the familiar surroundings from this new, alien perspective.
Her human half was a swirl of emotions, a kaleidoscope of fear, shock, and a strange, budding curiosity.
She could feel the weight of her breasts against her chest, the softness of her skin, the length of her hair cascading down her back like a liquid curtain.
She could also feel every inch of her lower spider form , the hard shell of her abdomen, the delicacy of her legs, the pulsating of her spinnerets. It was overwhelming, this new body, this new self. She closed her eyes, trying to block out the sensation, but it was no use.
A primal hunger was stirring within her, a gnawing, insatiable need that sent shivers down her spine. She could feel it, the urge to consume, to devour, to wrap her victims in silk and feast upon their essence. Her mind seemed to revel in the sensation, as she subconsciously began clicking mandibles together with a hunger that was both terrifying and exhilarating. She tried to push it down, to deny the urge, but it was like trying to hold back the tide.
She opened her eyes, her human half recoiling in horror at the thought. She couldn't do this, couldn't become a monster that preyed upon the innocent. She thought of her friends, his family, the people she cared about. She couldn't hurt them, couldn't even think about it without her stomach churning with nausea. It was as if her mind was warring with itself.
She was simultaneously repulsed and horrified by the urges and desires brewing within her mind, but at the same time they excited her and felt incredibly enticing. She could feel the pulsating of the spinnerets at the rear of her spider form, their rhythmic throbbing urging her to give in and try them. She closed her eyes, letting her mind wander to the thought of spinning a web. The imagery was vivid and intoxicating—the intricate patterns, the delicate threads, the silken strands glistening in the moonlight. Despite the revulsion she felt towards her new form, the idea of spinning a web held a certain allure. It was a skill, an art form, something uniquely hers. She decided she had to try.
With a deep breath, she reached back with one of her human hands, the touch of her soft skin against the hard surface of her abdomen sending a shiver through her. She could feel the spinnerets, the tiny organs pulsating with energy, eager to be used.
She felt an instinctual need to use them.
It was a primal urge that transcended her human consciousness, a call from the very depths of her new being. She spread her human fingers, feeling the smoothness of her palm, the softness of her skin, and the delicate bones beneath. Then, she placed her hand on her abdomen, against the glossy black carapace. The contrast was stark, the softness of her hand against the hardness of her abdomen a strange juxtaposition. She could feel the spinnerets beneath her fingers, their rhythmic pulsating a silent summons.
She took a deep breath, her human lungs expanding with air, her abdomen pressing against her palm.
She focused on the pulsating spinnerets, feeling their rhythm, their insistent call. Without thinking, she began to move her her spinnerettes as she began spinning webs.
Suddenly, a profound pleasure washed over her, intense and all-consuming. It was as if every nerve in her body was firing at once, a symphony of sensation that was at once agonizing and ecstatic. Her body tensed, every muscle tightening as the pleasure built, wave after wave of it crashing over her, leaving her gasping, her breath coming in ragged, desperate pants.
As she spun, the silk extruded from her spinnerets, thin and delicate, shimmering in the lamplight. Each pulse of web she produced her orgasms grew. It felt so good, so right.
She was spinning, her body writhing in ecstasy as the silk poured from her, a never-ending stream of pleasure. The sensation was overwhelming, her human body shaking with the intensity of it, her spider half pulsating with delicious, mind-shattering bliss.
She threw her head back, her long hair cascading down her back like a waterfall of raven curls. Her lips parted in a silent cry, her body arching as the pleasure grew more intense. She could feel it building, a storm inside her, ready to break free and consume her.
Each pulse of her spinnerets sent shockwaves of pleasure rippling through her body, her human half and her spider half crying out in unison. Her skin tingled, every nerve ending alive and on fire, her muscles tensing and releasing in time with the rhythm of her web spinning.
Her breath came in ragged gasps, her chest heaving as she rode the waves of ecstasy. Her nipples hardened against the soft fabric of her shirt, aching for touch, for release. She reached up with her free hand, her fingers fumbling with the buttons of her shirt, desperate to free her breasts.
The fabric parted, revealing her full, aching mounds, her nipples already taut and eager. She arched her back, offering herself to her own touch, her body writhing with need.
But suddenly, the urge to spin more, to cover more, to create more became too much to bear. She began to skitter around her room, her eight legs moving in a frantic dance, her human body barely able to keep up. She raced from wall to wall, her spinnerets pulsing, her body throbbing with pleasure.
With each step, she left a trail of silk behind her, the delicate threads shimmering in the lamplight like a path of stardust. She covered the walls, the ceiling, the floor, her entire room becoming a cocoon of silk, a testament to her new existence.
Each pulse of her spinnerets sent a jolt of pleasure through her body, her breath coming in ragged gasps as her body shook with the intensity of it all.
Her mind was a mess of contradictions, a swirl of emotions that she couldn't untangle. She was both horrified and exhilarated by what she was doing, both repulsed and aroused by the sensation of spinning her web. It felt so good, so right, that she couldn't stop herself. Her body moved of its own accord, her spinnerets pulsing with a mind of their own, weaving threads of silk that glistened in the lamplight like a constellation of stars. She covered the walls, the ceiling, the floor, her entire room becoming a shimmering cocoon of silk.
But then, suddenly, it hit her. She snapped out of it, her body still shuddering with the aftershocks of pleasure, but her mind clear and horrified. She looked around at what she had done, at the web that now adorned every inch of her apartment, and she felt a wave of nausea wash over her.
This wasn't her. This wasn't who she was. She was Alex, not some monster. She was supposed to be studying ancient civilizations, not spinning webs in her bedroom.
The sight of her silk-sheathed room sent a shiver of revulsion down her spine, but beneath it, she felt a lingering echo of pleasure. That was what scared her most—the temptation to do it again, to indulge in the incredible sensation that had washed over her.
Alex—or Arachne, as she now thought of herself—tore her gaze away from the shimmering web, her heart pounding in her chest. She could still feel the remnants of the ecstasy, like an afterglow beneath her skin, and it was terrifying. She was not supposed to find enjoyment in this. She was not meant to be a monster.
Her hands trembled as she clenched them into fists, her spider legs clicking nervously against the hardwood floor. She needed to get out of here, to clear her head, to find some semblance of control.
But before she could leave, she hesitated, her eyes drawn to the shimmering web that adorned her room. Maybe just one more time, a voice whispered in her mind. The temptation was overwhelming, the memory of the pleasure still fresh and intoxicating. She looked at the silk-covered walls, at the delicate threads glistening in the lamplight, and felt a shiver of desire. It would be so easy to give in, to let the ecstasy wash over her again.
But no, she couldn't. She wouldn't. This wasn't her, wasn't who she was meant to be. She was Alex, not a monster. But as she remembered the pleasure she thought, maybe a few more seconds wouldn't hurt.
Before she could stop herself, her spinnerets began to pulse, and the first thread of silk snaked out into the air. Instantly, the bliss washed over her again, and she felt herself melting into the sensation, her disust and revsion lost beneath the ecstacy. She spun and wove, her body moving in a fluid dance, her mind lost in the ecstasy as she covered the inside of her house entirely.
Every inch of wall, every corner of the ceiling, every piece of furniture was wrapped in delicate, shimmering silk. She couldn't stop, didn't want to stop. It felt too good, too right. Every pulse of her spinnerets sent another jolt of pleasure through her body, and she reveled in it, giving in to the sensation completely.
Every second she spent spinning webs, her mind was unwittingly corrupted further. The revulsion she felt for her new form began to fade just a little bjt, replaced by a small growing sense of acceptance, even appreciation that was imperceptible to even her.
This pleasure she experienced when spinning webs was so overwhelming, so all-consuming, it was hard for her to think about anything else. So she spun, and spun, and spun.
She knew she should stop, knew that spinning webs wasn't natural or normal but she just couldn't bring herself to care. It felt so good, better than anything she could ever remember experiencing. Her body was a symphony of pleasure, every nerve ending ablaze with sensation, every muscle tensing and releasing with the rhythm of her web spinning.
She was vaguely aware of time passing, but it was just a vague concept, something unimportant in the face of the ecstasy she was experiencing.
She spun and spun, her spinnerets pulsing in time with the rhythm of her body, her legs clicking against the hardwood floor as she moved from one wall to another.
The sound of her spinning was a symphony, a melody that she found herself humming along to. Her web was a masterpiece, a sculpture of silk that she was carving out of the air. Each thread was a note, each pulse a beat, and she was the conductor, the maestro orchestrating the creation of something beautiful and unique.
As she finished, she calmed down. She looked around her house, now covered and criss crossed in website. Disappointment filled her at how she gave in to her urges, but especially by how she found a part of herself admiring her creation. She didn't even realize that her repulsion a disgust were no longer there.
Not completely, at least. The horror of what she was doing was still there, but it was muted, drowned out by the ecstasy that spinning her web gave her. The web was so beautiful, so perfect. She felt a strange pride in her work.
As she surveyed her creation, she heard a knock on her door. She heard the voice of Jimmy, he must have come to check on Alex after running away in the cave.
But Alex didn't want to answer the door, she didn't want anyone to see her like this. She looked at herself in the mirror, the smooth lines of her body, the glossy black of her spider abdomen, the delicacy of spindly spider legs, her mandibles and numerous spider eyes. And her upper body, a vision of feminine perfection.
She could see the contradiction in her reflection, the human and the monstrous, the beautiful and the horrifying, all meshed into one grotesque symphony of flesh and chitin.
She quickly moved away from the mirror, her heart pounding in her chest. She couldn't let Jimmy see her like this, couldn't let anyone see her like this. She was a freak, a monster. She had to hide, had to find a way to reverse this... this transformation.
"Alex? You in there, buddy?" Jimmy's voice was muffled through the door, concerned and a little annoyed. "Come on, man. I know you're home.
Open up, Alex." Jimmy knocked again, a little more insistently this time. "Come on, buddy, it's dark, and I've been worried about you."
Alex's heart leaped into her throat as she heard the door creak open. She tried to move, but her spider legs tangled in the webs she had spun, and she found herself rooted to the spot.
"Alex?" Jimmy called out, his voice echoing in the dimly lit apartment. "Where are you, man?"
Before she could respond, Jimmy stumbled into the room, his hands outstretched to keep his balance. He took one step, then another, his eyes adjusting to the dim light. He was smiling, but he quickly stumbled and fell the sticky web covered floor becoming completely immobile. As he struggled he looked around the room and was filled with fear at what he saw.
Everything was covered in a thick layer of silk, the walls, the ceiling, the furniture, even the floor. It was as if a spider had taken over the apartment and spun its web from one end to the other.
Webs dangled from the ceiling like vines from a tree, silken threads crisscrossing the room in all directions, glinting in the lamplight like a shimmering, ethereal forest. Jimmy stumbled, trying to regain his balance as he took in the sight, his eyes wide with disbelief. He turned in a slow circle, his gaze following the paths of silk that stretched from corner to corner, wall to wall, ceiling to floor. It was like nothing he had ever seen, a macabre work of art that filled him with a sense of unease.
As he turned, his eyes landed on Alex, or rather, the creature that was now Alex. His heart leaped into his throat, and he took a step back, his hands trying to instinctively rais themselves in a gesture of self-defense but unable to do so stuck to the webs.
He tried to yell, but his voice caught in his throat. he gasped, his eyes wide with horror. "What the hell is this?"
As Jimmy struggled to free himself from the sticky silk, Alex wanted to reassure him that it was her and that she wouldn't hurt him. However, as Alex watched Jimmy struggle in the web she spun he couldn't help but let spider like thoughts creep into her mind.
She felt a hunger growing that scared her, a primal urges that made her stomach twist in knots. A part of her, a part that was growing stronger with every passing second, wanted to see Jimmy as prey. She wanted to wrap him up, to cocoom him, to sink her mandibles into him and feast.
She could see the fear in his eyes, could hear the desperate struggle of his movements against the silk. It was a symphony of panic, a melody that called to her darker nature. Her mind was fighting itself, part of it recoiled in horror, but the other part reveled in it.
She took a step forward, her eight legs clicking against the hardwood floor with a hunger all their own. Jimmy's struggles became more frantic, his eyes wide with terror as he looked at her.
She remembered how good it felt when she gave in and spun her web, would this feel as orgasmic?
She hated herself for even thinking this way, but she just couldn't stop herself. She felt a strange pull towards Jimmy, a desire that she had never felt before.
"Alex, what the hell happened here?" Jimmy asked, his voice trembling with fear. "Why is everything covered in webs?"
Alex hesitated, her mind a whirlwind of confusion and desire. She wanted to tell him everything, to beg for his help, but she also wanted to give in to the primal pull she was feeling. She took another step forward, her legs clicking against the floor, her mouth watering at the thought of what she could do to him.
The image of her using her spider legs and spinnerettes to wrap and cacoon silk around him made her two mouths water. It wasn't her fault human prey had walked into her web after all.
She took another measured step forward, the hardwood floor creaking softly beneath her eight legs. Jimmy's breath came in ragged gasps, his eyes darting from her to the webs that shimmered and shifted in the lamplight. His chest heaved with panic, and she could see the terror etched into every line of his face.
Alex knew these urges were wrong, but he remebered the orgasms she experienced making her webs and suddenly her resistance melted away instantly as she caved in to her monstrous desires.
In a split second, she willingly skittered towards him, lightning fast, her eight spider legs moving in perfect synchronization, their tiny hairs tickling the wood floor. Jimmy's eyes widened in terror as he saw her approaching, but it was too late for him to react.
She grabbed his body easily with her spider legs, her spinnerets already humming with anticipation. A smile curled up the corners of her human mouth as she brought him closer to her abdomen, her spinnerets ready to spin a cocoon around him. Jimmy struggled, his voice a high-pitched whine as he tried to free himself from her unyielding grip. But it was no use. Alex was too fast, too strong.
As she began to cocoon him, she felt a strange sense of satisfaction, a thrill that coursed through her like a drug.
Her eight legs spun him in circles, a macabre waltz as her spinnerets hummed with anticipation, releasing a steady stream of silk that wrapped around him like a shroud. Just like before she begin to orgasm with each pulse of web released. Each thread was a caress, a touch that sent shivers down her spine and made her gasp with pleasure. The more silk she spun, the more she enveloped him, the more intense the sensation became. She began moaning uncontrollably and she continued to cacoon her prey.
The sound of Jimmy's muffled whimpers filled the apartment, but Alex could only hear the symphony of pleasure that her body was creating. She was lost in the sensation, her human mind addicted to the bliss, her spider instincts completely in control.
Her legs danced around him, creating a macabre ballet of death and desire. Each pulse of silk from her spinnerets sent shockwaves of ecstasy through her body, making her gasp and moan in delight. She could feel his struggles, his desperate attempts to free himself, but she reveled in the sensation of power, the knowledge that he was at her mercy.
She spun and spun, her body writhing with pleasure as she encased him in her silk, each pulse of her spinnerets sending another jolt of ecstasy through her veins.
Alex's watched as she willingly cacooned her friend, ut it felt so good she couldnt bring herself to resost. She wanted to stop, to break free from the primal urges that were driving her, but she was powerless to resist. The pleasure was too great, the sensation too intoxicating. She was drowning in a sea of ecstasy, her body a slave to the primal dance of her spinnerets.
The silk flowed from her like a river, a never-ending torrent of pleasure that left her gasping and shivering with delight. She could feel Jimmy's struggles beneath the silk, could hear his muffled cries and pleas, but it only served to heighten her arousal.
Now fully cacooned she dropped him on the ground and stared at her handiwork. This was wrong, but her two mouths watered at the site. She clicked her mandibles in anticipation, the hunger driving her wild in the afterglow of her orgasms.
She looked at her prey, writhing in the cacoon she created. A small taste wouldn't hurt she thought , just a little nibble. She felt guilt and disgust but the hunger was overpowering. She inched closer, her mandibles clicking together in anticipation. A small part of her knew this was wrong, but she kept rationalizing it. Just a small bite, a taste, I can stop at any time.
The voice in her head was a seductive whisper, coaxing her, tempting her to give in. She could almost hear Jimmy's muffled pleas, his desperate cries for help, but they were drowned out by the hungry symphony of her spider half. She was so close now, her mandibles mere inches from his flesh, her spider legs trembling with anticipation.
The scent of his fear was intoxicating, a heady perfume that clouded her thoughts and made her salivate from her mouths and mandibles.
Just a nibble.
That's all she promised herself. But as her mandibles made contact with Jimmy's flesh, she knew she was lost. She tore into him with her mandibles, the taste of him in her spider mouth filling her with divine ecstasy. It was unlike anything she had ever experienced, a symphony of flavors that exploded on her tongue, leaving her gasping for more. The taste was intoxicating, addictive, a sensation that overwhelmed her senses and left her craving more. She could feel his life force coursing through her veins, his fear and desperation feeding her darker nature. She reveled in it and even her rational side couldnt help butadore the action. She devoured him with abandon, her mandibles ripping through his flesh like a hot knife through butter whole she moaned out of her human mouth and groped her breasts with her human arms.
She felt a perverse pleasure in the act, a dark ecstasy that made her skin tingle and her body shiver with delight. The taste of his fear, his pain, his very essence, was an intoxicating elixir that left her craving more. She couldn't get enough, couldn't satisfy the insatiable hunger that raged within her.
As she fed, she could feel the remnants of her human morality trying to claw its way back to the surface. The guilt, the horror, the revulsion – it was all still there, buried beneath the ecstasy of the feed.
She recognized the wrongness of her actions, the monstrosity of her new form, and the betrayal of her oldest friend. Yet, she was powerless to stop herself. The taste of Jimmy's fear and life force was too delicious, the sensation too addictive. She could feel her spider half reveling in the kill, her human half screaming in terror and disgust.
Alex—or Arachne, as she now thought of herself—fed with a frenzied intensity, her human and spider halves locked in a battle for control.
