The elevator chimed softly as the beautiful, richly carved wood doors swept open, revealing a discreet corridor of the most exclusive hotel in the city. A lone, golden-framed mirror on the velvety wall emphasized the subtle, almost hushed elegance of the place.
Bec stepped out of the plush, high-speed private lift wearing her gorgeous, slim-fitting black dress. Her Wellington boots made a gentle clicking sound as she walked. Lewis followed closely behind, holding her hand, looking dapper in his tailored tuxedo.
He couldn't take his eyes off her, and his anticipation and excitement for what the evening promised grew stronger with each step.
