Ty is a nerdy, geeky, engineer, otherwise a harmless man. He's never really had luck with the ladies, he never really knew what to say, or when to say, anything to women. As if God played a joke on him, his cock would have made any woman on the planet swoon, reducing them to endorphins and sweat, if he ever could get the opportunity. He is in the hospital and meets a lovely new 22 year old nurse, very petite but well figured and endowed for her size. He struggles to complement and make his moves, but as time passes he gets better and smoother. The nurse is probably the most doe-eyed person to ever exist. She never quite successfully puts two and two together that Ty always just seems to get accidentally hard around her... Weirdest thing.

Chapter 3: Awkward Awakening

The sterile silence of the hospital room pressed in on Ty after the door clicked shut behind Chloe and Lily. He sank back into the thin pillow, the starched cotton of the hospital gown rasping against his bare skin. No jeans. Just the flimsy gown and the thin blanket.

He shifted. The freedom was unsettling. After the initial panic of being caught unaware earlier, his body had settled, but the sheer novelty of unconfined movement beneath the blanket was… distracting. He tentatively flexed a leg. No restricting denim. Just air, the soft cotton lining of the gown, and his own skin. He’d never really thought about it before, the constant, subtle pressure of clothing. Now, without it, every shift felt amplified, vulnerable. He tried lying perfectly still, staring at the acoustic tiles on the ceiling, focusing on the steady beep-beep-beep of the heart monitor on the wall near his bed. Just breathe. Ignore it.

But his mind, fueled by lingering embarrassment and the echo of Chloe’s proximity, wouldn’t cooperate. He replayed the touch of her cool fingers on his forehead, the brush of her arm, the impossible softness of her smile even as Dr. Thorne dissected his humiliation.

The memory triggered a familiar, unwelcome warmth low in his belly. He squeezed his eyes shut. No. Not again. Not now. He willed himself to think of tax forms, of the convoluted plot of the last sci-fi novel he’d hated, of Dr. Thorne’s stern face for Lily. Anything cold, boring, or mildly terrifying.

He spent a tense thirty minutes in this internal battle, rigidly still one moment, minutely adjusting the next, acutely aware of every sensation the loose gown allowed. The blanket felt like tissue paper. Every rustle seemed deafening. Slowly, the exhaustion from the concussion, the stress, and the sheer emotional whiplash of the day began to win. His rigid muscles unclenched, fraction by fraction. The frantic loop of thoughts slowed, blurred. The hum of the air vents and the distant murmur of the hospital corridor became a lullaby. His breathing deepened, evening out. The hyper-awareness faded, replaced by the heavy pull of sleep. He drifted off, his body finally finding a semblance of peace, limbs relaxed.

Sleep washed over Ty like a warm, dark tide, deeper and more restful than any he’d managed since the faint. The constant low thrum of the hospital faded to a distant drone. The sharp antiseptic sting in his nostrils softened. Even the persistent ache behind his eyes dulled to a vague pressure. His breathing slowed, becoming deep and even, the frantic tension draining from his limbs, leaving him boneless and adrift in a comforting void. For the first time, the cheap pillow actually felt soft.

Unaware, cocooned in this unexpected peace, his body responded purely to its own rhythms, free from conscious control or anxiety. The absence of constricting denim, the relaxed sprawl of his legs beneath the thin blanket, the sheer physical relief after hours of rigid tension – it combined with the deep, restorative sleep.

The deep, restorative sleep was a balm. Muscles unknotted. Breath flowed easy. For the first time since the fated waiting room, Ty truly rested, adrift on a gentle, thoughtless tide.

Complete surrender. No anxiety, no sharp edges of embarrassment. Only the warm, dark comfort of oblivion. His body, starved of genuine peace, drank it in greedily.

Beneath the thin hospital blanket, liberated from the constant pressure of denim and rigid self-control, his physical state shifted purely on instinct. The deep relaxation, the utter lack of conscious restraint, combined with the lingering subconscious hum of Chloe’s proximity and touch echoing in his dreamless state.

The profound, solid expansion beneath the thin blanket was undeniable. No sudden rush, no frantic pulse, just the deep, unconscious physiology of rest taking its inevitable, unguarded course. Ty remained utterly oblivious, lost in dreamless sleep, his body claiming the freedom the flimsy gown allowed.

The thin hospital blanket, tented dramatically over his hips, offered only the barest whisper of concealment. Beneath it, liberated by sleep and the absence of confining denim, the evidence of his physiology was stark.

It wasn't a subtle shift. Free from conscious constraint and fueled by deep relaxation, it stood with startling, rigid prominence beneath the thin cotton gown. Once it achieved full attention, it possessed an undeniable weight and presence. It bobbed gently with Ty’s slow, sleeping breaths, a distinct, insistent landmark under the thin linen, almost seeming to demand acknowledgment in the otherwise empty, sterile room. A silent, physical testament to unconscious function.

The quiet click of the door handle seemed unnaturally loud. Lily slipped into the room first, her dark eyes immediately scanning the bed, a mischievous glint already forming. Behind her, Chloe followed, her focus initially on the chart in her hands. Lily stopped short, her gaze locked on the distinct outline beneath the blanket. Her lips parted slightly, then curved into a grin she couldn't suppress.

"Oh, wow," Lily breathed, the words barely audible but charged with amusement. She nudged Chloe subtly with her elbow. "Check that vital sign."

Chloe’s head snapped up from the chart, her doe-like blue eyes following Lily’s pointed gaze towards the bed. The sight hit her like a physical jolt. The thin blanket draped over Ty’s hips formed an unmistakable, pronounced peak. Her breath caught sharply in her throat. For a single, suspended heartbeat, her professional composure evaporated completely. Her eyes widened, her lips parted slightly, and a flush bloomed hot and fast across her cheeks, traveling down her neck. It was pure, unguarded shock. Or was it something more.

Then, like a slammed door, her nurse’s mask slammed back into place. Her expression smoothed over, becoming carefully neutral, almost unnaturally so. She blinked rapidly, tearing her gaze away from the bed with deliberate force. She focused intently on the chart in her hands, her knuckles whitening slightly where she gripped it. The movement was stiff, robotic. The blush remained, a stubborn pink stain high on her cheekbones, betraying the effort behind the calm facade. She didn’t trust herself to speak.

Lily suppressed a triumphant chuckle, her dark eyes sparkling with glee. Confirmed. She stepped forward, her usual brashness replaced by an exaggerated gentleness. "Tyrone?" she called softly, her voice a low murmur. She reached out and lightly touched his shoulder through the blanket, careful to avoid the prominent area beneath. "Hey, sleepyhead. Time for your concussion check." Her touch was feather-light, designed not to startle.

Ty stirred with a low groan, lost in the remnants of deep, peaceful sleep. He stretched languidly beneath the blanket, a full-body arch that emphasized the still-distinct tenting. His arms extended above his head, fingers flexing. He blinked slowly, his glasses slightly askew, eyes unfocused and bleary. "Mmmph?" he mumbled, thick with sleep. He rubbed his eyes clumsily with the back of his hand, utterly unaware of the visual spectacle he presented. The blanket shifted subtly with his stretch but remained defiantly peaked.

He yawned widely, exposing teeth. "S’it time already?" he rasped, his voice gravelly. He blinked again, trying to bring the room into focus, his gaze drifting past Lily towards the window overlooking the quiet courtyard. The bright afternoon light felt harsh. He registered Chloe standing rigidly near the door, clutching the chart. "Oh. Hey." He offered a sleepy, lopsided smile, completely oblivious to the reason for the sudden tension in the room. His body remained relaxed, the evidence beneath the blanket stubbornly present.

Lily watched, fascinated, as Ty slowly pushed himself up onto his elbows. The movement caused the blanket to pull taut across his lap. The defined outline remained starkly visible against the thin fabric. It hadn't diminished in the slightest. If anything, shifting position seemed to accentuate it. Ty settled back against the pillows, adjusting his glasses properly now. He ran a hand through his messy dark hair, still looking pleasantly drowsy. "Headache’s better," he offered, glancing between the two nurses. "Really slept hard." He seemed genuinely unaware of the elephant in the room – or rather, the very prominent landmark beneath his blanket.

Chloe remained frozen near the door, her gaze fixed determinedly on the chart. Her posture was unnaturally straight, shoulders tense. She cleared her throat softly, a sound devoid of its usual calm warmth. "That’s... good," she managed, her voice clipped and higher than usual. She still didn’t look at him. The blush hadn't faded, it only got more pronounced.

Lily, sensing Chloe’s paralysis, took charge. "Alright, let's get this done," she announced with forced cheerfulness, grabbing the thermometer. She stepped closer to the bed, her eyes flicking down briefly. The tenting hadn't subsided. At all. It seemed almost defiantly permanent.

Ty complied easily, still blinking sleep from his eyes. He felt a faint warmth low in his belly, a residual echo of the deep relaxation, but attributed it entirely to the good sleep. He glanced down casually as Lily removed the thermometer. His gaze swept over his own lap. The distinct, undeniable shape beneath the blanket finally registered. His eyes widened behind his glasses. Panic, cold and sharp, flooded his system. Oh god. Not again. Not NOW. His breath hitched audibly. He froze completely, mortification crashing over him like ice water. He couldn’t move, couldn’t speak, couldn’t even yank the blanket higher. He just stared, horrified, at the damning outline.

The abrupt surge of adrenaline and sheer terror initiated a slow, agonizing retreat. It wasn't instantaneous like before. It felt like watching a stubborn airbag deflate after a crash – slow, reluctant, painfully visible. The pronounced peak beneath the blanket began a gradual, almost imperceptible descent. Ty squeezed his eyes shut, wishing the bed would swallow him whole. Every second stretched into an eternity. He could feel Lily’s gaze, could practically hear Chloe’s rigid silence radiating from the doorway. The blanket slowly lost its dramatic tension, the outline softening fraction by excruciating fraction. It took what felt like minutes, not seconds, for it to finally subside to a less conspicuous state, though the thin fabric still hinted at significant underlying structure. Ty kept his eyes tightly shut, his face burning crimson. He didn't dare look at either nurse.

Lily noted the slow deflation with barely concealed amusement, her lips twitching. She glanced back at Chloe, whose rigid posture hadn't relaxed an inch. Lily turned her attention to Ty, her voice dripping with faux innocence. "All done. Temp's normal." She paused, letting the heavy silence hang for a beat. "Ready for your concussion check, Tyrone?" Her eyes held a knowing glint he couldn't see behind his closed lids. The game was getting very interesting. Chloe remained a silent, flustered statue by the door.

Chloe remained a silent, flustered statue by the door, knuckles white on the chart. The air felt thick with unspoken awkwardness, heavy with Ty’s mortification and her own impossible-to-suppress blush. Lily, however, vibrated with barely contained energy.

"Alright, concussion check time," Lily announced brightly, clapping her hands once. The sound made Ty flinch. "Chloe, you gotta sign off, remember? Policy." She gestured towards the bed, her tone implying it was the most mundane request in the world. Her eyes, though, held a challenge as she met Chloe’s wide, startled gaze.

Chloe swallowed hard, the motion visible in her throat. She forced her feet to move, each step deliberate, towards the foot of the bed. She kept her eyes fixed on Ty’s face, avoiding looking anywhere below his collarbones as if her life depended on it. The high color on her cheeks remained, a stubborn beacon of her discomposure despite her rigidly professional posture. She managed a stiff nod. "Right. Proceed, Lily."

Lily turned to Ty, who looked like he wished the pillow would spontaneously combust. "First up, pupils," she chirped, pulling a small penlight from her pocket. "Look straight ahead at Chloe, Tyrone. Focus on her."

Ty’s eyes, wide with panic behind his glasses, snapped to Chloe’s face. The direct command felt like a trap. Chloe stood perfectly still, her expression carefully neutral, a serene mask belied only by the persistent flush staining her skin. Her doe-like eyes met his, impossibly blue and clear, yet holding a strange intensity he couldn't decipher. Was it pity? Disgust? Professional detachment? He felt pinned.

Lily clicked the penlight on, shining it directly into Ty’s left eye. He blinked reflexively. "Hold still. Follow the light." She moved the beam slowly left, right, up, down, her movements clinical. Ty tried desperately to focus on the tiny point of light, acutely aware of Chloe’s unwavering gaze mere feet away. Her proximity, her scent – a faint vanilla and antiseptic – it was overwhelming. He could see the rapid flutter of her pulse at the base of her throat.

"Responsive," Lily noted, switching to his right eye. The intense beam forced another blink. "Good dilation and tracking." She clicked the light off. "Okay, Tyrone. Touch your finger to your nose. Then mine." She held her index finger up about a foot from his face.

His hand trembled slightly as he raised it, index finger extended. He touched his own nose, the movement jerky. Then he reached for Lily’s finger, missing it slightly on the first try. "S-sorry."

"Again," Lily instructed, her voice calm. He managed it correctly the second time. "Now follow my finger with just your eyes. No head movement." She moved her finger slowly side-to-side, then up and down. Ty tracked it, feeling absurdly like a specimen under glass, acutely conscious of Chloe observing his every twitch.

"Good." Lily lowered her hand. "Now, push against my hands." She placed her palms against the soles of his feet through the blanket. "Push hard." He pushed, muscles straining. "Resistance is good." She moved beside him. "Grip my hands. Squeeze." Her hands felt small and firm. He squeezed, probably harder than necessary. "Strong grip."

Lily released Ty's hand, the ghost of her touch lingering. "Strong grip," she repeated, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial murmur. She punctuated it with a slow, deliberate wink aimed directly at his burning face.

Ty’s breath hitched. The wink was a grenade tossed into his already shattered composure. He jerked his hand back as if scalded, his glasses sliding down his sweaty nose. The blanket suddenly felt radioactive. Chloe stood frozen at the foot of the bed, her knuckles white where she gripped the chart. Lily’s gaze flicked between them, sharp as a scalpel.

"Reflexes next," Lily chirped, loving every moment of the nuclear fallout she’d caused. She produced the little reflex hammer, its cold metal glinting. "Left knee, Tyrone? Relax the leg." She tapped the spot just below his kneecap. His leg twitched violently, a knee-jerk reaction far more dramatic than necessary. "Hyper-reflexive," Lily noted, scribbling. "Probably residual adrenaline. Or... other stimuli." She didn’t look up, but the implication hung thick in the antiseptic air.

Chloe shifted, the starched fabric of her scrubs whispering. "Lily," she said, her voice tight. "The orientation questions?" It was a lifeline, an attempt to steer back to solid, clinical ground. Her eyes remained fixed on a point above Ty’s head, avoiding the minefield beneath the blanket. The blush hadn’t faded; it painted her neck a stubborn rose.

"Right!" Lily’s smile was blinding. "Tyrone, what’s your full name?"

"Tyrone Marcus Banks." The words tumbled out, too fast.

"Good. Date of birth?"

"March 12th."

"Where are you right now?"

"St. Jude Hospital."

"And what happened to bring you here?"

"I fainted during a blood draw."

Lily straightened, tucking the reflex hammer away. "Oriented x4. Neuro check complete." She turned to Chloe, radiating false innocence. "All good for you to sign off, Chloe. Unless you need anything else?" Her gaze swept pointedly towards Ty, then back to Chloe, heavy with unspoken suggestion. The air crackled. Ty felt pinned, dissected.

Chloe’s jaw tightened. She took a deliberate step forward, the chart held like a shield. "Your IV site," she stated, her voice clipped. "Needs inspection."

Chloe’s clipped pronouncement hung in the air like a scalpel poised to cut. "Needs inspection." Her gaze remained fixed somewhere near the IV stand, avoiding Ty’s burning face and the treacherous blanket. The sterile room felt suddenly suffocating, thick with Ty’s mortification and Chloe’s rigidly maintained composure. Lily’s sharp eyes darted between them, a predator scenting blood in the water.

Ty instinctively curled his fingers inward, hiding the hand attached to the IV line taped securely to the back of his wrist. The thin plastic tube snaked up his forearm, disappearing beneath the sleeve of his flimsy gown. He felt utterly exposed, every nerve ending screaming. "It's... it's fine," he stammered, his voice cracking. "Doesn't hurt." He pulled his arm tighter against his body, a futile shield.

Lily couldn't believe her luck. The opening was wider than the hospital corridor. She pivoted towards Chloe, her expression morphing into wide-eyed, earnest innocence. "Oh!" she exclaimed, her voice pitched slightly higher than usual. She gestured vaguely towards Ty’s concealed arm. "Checking IV sites? Honestly, Chloe... I've never actually done that solo before." She blinked rapidly, projecting pure, clueless student. "Can you... show me? Properly?" The lie slid off her tongue effortlessly. She’d checked dozens just yesterday.

Chloe froze. Her knuckles went bone-white on the chart’s edge. A flicker of pure panic crossed her features before she wrestled it back under control. Her jaw tightened almost imperceptibly. She knew. She knew Lily was maneuvering her. The request was textbook procedure, utterly reasonable on the surface. Denying it would seem unprofessional, suspicious even. Trapped. Her gaze finally flickered down to Ty’s arm, then snapped back up to Lily’s expectant face. The blush deepened, creeping down her neck like spilled wine.

Ty watched the silent exchange, his own panic escalating. Chloe touching him again? Now? After... that? His pulse hammered against his ribs, a frantic drumbeat echoing the monitor beside him. He felt lightheaded, the concussion symptoms threatening a comeback. He shrank back against the pillows, wishing he could dissolve into the starch-stiff sheets.

Chloe took a slow, deliberate breath, the sound loud in the tense quiet. "It's... straightforward," she began, her voice strained but attempting its usual calm cadence. She forced herself to take a step closer to the bed, then another. The scent of vanilla and antiseptic intensified. She stopped beside Ty’s IV arm, still avoiding direct eye contact with him. Her focus was laser-sharp on Lily. "You assess for signs of infiltration or phlebitis." Her tone was clipped, clinical. "Redness. Swelling. Tenderness. Coolness. Or leaking at the insertion site."

Lily nodded eagerly, leaning in like a fascinated pupil. "Right, right. Tenderness. How do you check for that best?" Her eyes gleamed. "Palpation?"

Chloe’s lips pressed into a thin line. She knew exactly what Lily was angling for. There was no escape. "Gentle palpation," she confirmed tightly. Her hand hovered for a fraction of a second above Ty’s forearm, near the IV insertion point taped to the back of his wrist. Ty held his breath, every muscle locked.

Then her fingertips made contact. Cool, smooth skin met the warm, slightly clammy surface of Ty’s forearm, just below the IV tape. It was the lightest possible touch, purely clinical. Yet, Ty flinched as if shocked. A sharp gasp escaped him before he could clamp his lips shut. His entire arm tensed beneath her fingers, veins standing out starkly. The monitor beside the bed emitted a rapid, insistent beep-beep-beep-beep as his heart rate spiked dramatically, jumping from the low 80s to well over 110 in seconds. The sound filled the room, a loud, undeniable testament.

Chloe’s own breath hitched. Her fingers remained pressed lightly against his skin for a heartbeat too long. She could feel the frantic thrum of his pulse beneath her fingertips, the heat radiating from him, the involuntary tremor running through his muscles. Her professional mask slipped again. Her eyes widened slightly, fixed on the point of contact. That stubborn blush flared hotter.

Lily watched, mesmerized. The jump on the monitor. The gasp. The tremor. Chloe’s frozen fingers and blazing cheeks. It was perfect. Better than she’d hoped. "Whoa," Lily breathed, genuine surprise mixing with her feigned innocence this time. She pointed at the wildly beeping monitor. "That's... quite a reaction. Tenderness?" Her gaze flicked meaningfully between Chloe’s hand and Ty’s crimson face.

Chloe snatched her hand back as if burned. She took a jerky step away from the bed, putting distance between herself and Ty’s radiating panic. Her chest rose and fell rapidly. "Adrenaline," she stated flatly, her voice tight. "Clearly." She refused to look at the monitor, refused to look at Ty. Her focus was entirely on Lily now, a desperate attempt to regain control. "See? Palpate gently. Assess the surrounding tissue." She gestured stiffly towards Ty’s arm. "Go ahead."

Ty stared at the ceiling, mortification complete. The monitor continued its frantic beeping, a relentless soundtrack to his humiliation. He wanted to vanish. Lily’s knowing smirk burned into his peripheral vision. Chloe’s retreat felt like a physical blow.

Lily stepped forward, her movements efficient now. She placed her fingers near the IV site on Ty’s wrist, her touch brisk and impersonal compared to Chloe’s fleeting contact. "No redness," she announced, palpating firmly. "No swelling. Skin temp feels normal." She glanced at Ty. "Tender?" Her tone was purely professional, but her eyes held a glint of amusement.

Ty swallowed hard, forcing his voice to work. "N-no," he managed, his gaze still glued to the ceiling tiles. "Not tender." The monitor’s beeping began to slow, gradually settling back towards a rapid, but less alarming, rhythm. Relief warred with utter despair.

"Site looks good," Lily declared, stepping back. She shot Chloe a look brimming with unspoken triumph. "No signs of infiltration or phlebitis." She paused, letting the silence stretch. "Guess it was just...adrenaline." The slight emphasis on the last word was deliberate.

Chloe didn't respond. She simply scribbled something furiously on the chart, her pen digging into the paper. Her posture remained rigid, her face averted. The blush hadn't faded; it was a permanent stain. She couldn't meet Lily's eyes, couldn't risk looking at Ty. The air crackled with everything unsaid.

Lily couldn't believe she'd been teed up so perfectly. Chloe touching Ty, Ty reacting like a live wire, Chloe visibly flustered... it was gold. She suppressed a victorious grin. The game was definitely on.
