Ty is a nerdy, geeky, engineer, otherwise a harmless man. He's never really had luck with the ladies, he never really knew what to say, or when to say, anything to women. As if God played a joke on him, his cock would have made any woman on the planet swoon, reducing them to endorphins and sweat, if he ever could get the opportunity. He is in the hospital and meets a lovely new 22 year old nurse, very petite but well figured and endowed for her size. He struggles to complement and make his moves, but as time passes he gets better and smoother. The nurse is probably the most doe-eyed person to ever exist. She never quite successfully puts two and two together that Ty always just seems to get accidentally hard around her... Weirdest thing.

Chapter 9: Uncorking the Future

The fluorescent hum of the nurses' station grated on Chloe’s nerves. She stared blindly at the medication schedule on her screen, the earlier encounter with Lily replaying in jagged fragments – the blunt words, Ty’s unmistakable outline beneath the sheet, the sheer, uncomfortable heat it had sparked low in her own belly. Her cheeks still felt warm.

"Hey." Lily’s voice was softer than usual, tentative. She leaned against the counter beside Chloe, close enough that Chloe caught the faint scent of her lavender hand sanitizer over the hospital bleach. "Look, about before…" Lily fiddled with a pen, her usual bravado replaced by a rare flicker of uncertainty. "I was way outta line. Full stop. Said things… bluntly. Too bluntly."

Chloe kept her eyes on the screen, the names blurring. "Yeah. You did." Her voice was tight, small.

Lily sighed, a genuine sound of regret. "I’m sorry, Chloe. Truly. Didn’t mean to make things weird for you. Or… uncomfortable." She paused, searching Chloe’s profile. "You deserve someone who makes you feel… well, not embarrassed. Seen. Wanted. In a good way."

Chloe finally glanced at her. Lily’s dark eyes held sincerity, a stark contrast to her earlier teasing. The apology landed, surprisingly genuine. A small knot of tension loosened in Chloe’s chest.

A small knot of tension loosened in Chloe’s chest. Lily’s apology felt real. "Okay," Chloe murmured, the single word heavy with lingering confusion. "Apology accepted."

A playful glint returned to Lily’s eyes, carefully measured. "Seriously though?" She nudged Chloe’s shoulder gently, her voice dropping conspiratorially. "You do need someone to crack the dust off you, girl." Chloe blinked, the vivid image of Ty beneath his gown flashing unwelcome again, making her shift on her stool. "Been too damn long," Lily pressed, leaning in slightly. "Let me help find you that guy? Someone safe. Someone sweet." Her gaze held Chloe’s, intense but softer now. "Someone who actually knows what he’s doing." The suggestive lilt was back in her tone, yet framed now as a distant, almost theoretical promise. "Deal?"

Lily beamed, grabbing Chloe’s hand and giving it a quick, enthusiastic squeeze. "Yes! That's a start." She straightened up, scanning the bustling corridor with renewed focus. "We'll find you perfect." A nurse rushed past, chart in hand, oblivious. Lily watched them go, a slow, speculative smile spreading. "Someone... appropriate."

Chloe watched Lily scan the bustling corridor, that speculative smile unsettlingly sharp. The fluorescent lights buzzed overhead, harsh against the antiseptic tile. "Lily?" Her voice sounded thin, even to herself.

Lily turned back immediately, smile softening to concern. "Yeah?"

Chloe's fingers twisted the stiff fabric of her scrubs near her thigh. The question felt dangerous, stupid even. But the loneliness pressed in, sharp and sudden. "Have you ever... just... wanted it to not be so hard?" The words tumbled out, raw. "Finding someone? Trusting someone?"

Silence hung between them, punctuated by distant cart wheels and a monitor's rhythmic beep. Chloe couldn't meet Lily's gaze, focusing instead on a scuff mark on the countertop. Her throat felt tight.

Lily leaned closer, her voice dropping to a near-whisper. "Hard? Chloe, it’s like navigating a minefield blindfolded sometimes." She gave a small, self-deprecating laugh. "Trust me, I know."

Chloe finally looked up, meeting Lily’s surprisingly earnest dark eyes. They held no mockery now, only understanding. The sterile air felt thick. "It’s just... been so long," Chloe breathed, the admission scraping out, exposing the ache beneath the professional calm. "Or maybe it’s just... always been hard."

The fluorescent lights hummed overhead, a dissonant counterpoint to the sudden quiet between them. Lily’s teasing facade dissolved completely, replaced by an intensity Chloe had only glimpsed moments before. Her dark eyes didn’t waver, holding Chloe’s vulnerable gaze with an unsettling directness. "Hard doesn't mean impossible," Lily countered softly, her usual playful lilt absent.

Chloe’s fingers dug deeper into the stiff fabric of her scrubs. The fluorescent buzz overhead felt suddenly deafening. That deep, aching loneliness, sharpened by Lily’s earlier bluntness, surged up, raw and undeniable.

She swallowed hard, the sound loud in her own ears. Lily waited, utterly still, her earlier apology hanging between them like a tangible thing. Chloe’s voice scraped out, thin and desperate. "Lily?"

"Yeah?" Lily leaned fractionally closer, her expression open, expectant.

The question burned Chloe’s tongue, terrifying and necessary. She couldn't afford platitudes, not now. Her eyes locked onto Lily’s, pleading silently before the words tumbled free. "Can I trust you?" The plea hung starkly in the antiseptic air, charged with everything left unsaid – the awkwardness, the exposure, the sheer, terrifying vulnerability. "Like, really trust you? Right now?"

Lily didn’t flinch. Didn’t glance away. Her gaze remained steady, intense, absorbing Chloe’s raw need. A flicker of understanding, deeper than words, passed between them. Slowly, deliberately, Lily reached out and covered Chloe’s trembling hand where it clutched her scrubs.

Her touch was warm, grounding amidst the sterile chill. Lily squeezed gently, her voice dropping to a low, fierce whisper. "With anything." The promise was absolute, unadorned, leaving no room for doubt. "Always."

The fluorescent lights buzzed overhead, harsh and unforgiving. Chloe swallowed, the sound loud in her own ears. Her gaze flickered towards the bustle of the hallway, then back to Lily’s open, expectant face. The question burned, terrifying and necessary, rooted in the lonely ache she’d just confessed. Her voice, when it finally found its way out, was barely more than a breath, hushed and imbued with a strange reverence. "Lily?"

"Yeah, Chloe?" Lily leaned in fractionally closer, her expression softening further, sensing the shift.

Chloe hesitated, the antiseptic scent sharp in her nostrils. Her heart hammered against her ribs. She needed to know, needed to gauge the distance between Lily’s boldness and her own quiet yearning. The words felt clumsy, dangerous, potentially shattering the fragile trust they’d just rebuilt after the Ty incident. "When was the last time..." she started, faltered, then pushed through, her tone still low, almost devout, "...you got cracked?"

Lily’s eyes widened a fraction, a flicker of genuine surprise crossing her features, quickly masked by her usual composed boldness. She didn’t look away, didn’t flinch. A slow, knowing smile touched her lips, not mocking, but acknowledging the sheer audacity and intimacy of the question asked in this sterile place. She met Chloe’s reverent gaze head-on, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial murmur, casual yet utterly frank. "Three days ago."

The fluorescent hum pressed down. Chloe stared at Lily, the sterile scent sharpening. Three days. The word echoed against the hollow ache stretching inside her own skin. Tuesday. While she was charting vitals, Lily was… that. Sweat, movement, release. Heat flooded Chloe’s neck, fierce and undeniable. Jealousy twisted hot and sour in her gut, warring with stunned awe. Her voice scraped out, thin and strained, escaping before she could cage it. "T-Three days ago?" It sounded breathless. Reverent.

"Yep," Lily confirmed, leaning back against the counter, a knowing smirk playing on her lips. "Helps with the clinical stress, you know?" She popped a piece of gum into her mouth, chewing slowly, watching Chloe’s flushed face. "Keeps the edge off."

Chloe’s fingers knotted in her scrub top. The image wouldn’t leave – Lily tangled with Benji, experiencing that simple, vital friction she herself lacked. The loneliness pressed in, sharpened by Lily’s casual ease. Her gaze darted away, then back, drawn irresistibly. The question burned on her tongue, terrifying and necessary. Her voice dropped to a hushed whisper, barely audible over the distant clatter of a med cart. "Lily?"

Lily leaned in, her dark eyes bright with anticipation. "Yeah, Chloe?"

Chloe swallowed hard. Her knuckles were white where she gripped the counter edge. The fluorescent light buzzed louder. She forced the words out, a raw, vulnerable plea disguised as curiosity. "W-Who?"

Lily’s grin widened, sharp and knowing. She popped her gum. "Classmate of mine," she said, leaning her hip against the counter, lowering her voice conspiratorially. "One of those burly psych ward CNA types. Grinding for his RN." She paused, letting the anticipation build as Chloe stared, wide-eyed. "Name's Benji."

Chloe blinked. "Benji?"

"Yeah." Lily’s eyes took on a distant, appreciative glaze. "Picture this: a brick shithouse." She gestured vaguely towards the ceiling. "Not ripped like some gym rat poster boy. Nah." She leaned closer, her voice dropping further. "He’s a pure muscle ball. Like, everywhere." Her hands sketched a thick, rounded shape in the air. "Solid. Round. Soft over the top, y’know? Like hugging a warm boulder."

Chloe’s knuckles were white on the counter edge. The fluorescent buzz seemed louder. "Soft?"

"Gentle giant," Lily confirmed, nodding emphatically. "Seriously. Seen him pin a combative dementia patient without bruising a fly." Her gaze sharpened, locking onto Chloe’s. "But underneath? Pure power." She chuckled, low and throaty. "Thighs like tree trunks straining his scrubs. Belly like a firm pillow." A wicked gleam entered her eyes. "And hands? Massive. Warm." She flexed her own fingers slowly.

The antiseptic scent suddenly felt thick, cloying. Chloe swallowed hard. Lily’s description painted an overwhelming picture – immense strength wrapped in deceptive softness. Power held with terrifying gentleness. The contrast was jarring, visceral. Her mind stuttered, trying to reconcile the image with Lily’s casual ease.

"Three days ago?" Chloe repeated, the words barely audible. Her gaze flickered down Lily’s frame, then back up, a question burning in her wide blue eyes.

Lily caught the look, the unspoken hunger beneath Chloe’s confusion. She understood instantly. Chloe wasn’t just asking about Benji; she was trying to visualize the possibility for herself. Lily scanned the busy corridor, her eyes sharp, hunting. Then she froze. Subtly, almost imperceptibly, she tilted her chin towards the far end of the hall near the elevator bank. "See him?" Lily murmured, her voice barely above a whisper, thick with implication. "Over by the water fountain?"

Chloe’s gaze snapped towards the elevator bank, past bustling orderlies and a rattling linen cart. Her pulse stuttered. "Where?" she breathed, scanning the sterile corridor.

"Water fountain," Lily murmured, her voice thick with implication. She subtly tilted her chin again. "Leaning against the wall. Charting."

Chloe followed the direction. Her breath caught. There he was. Not Benji. Different. But instantly recognizable against Lily’s description. Burly. Solid. A CNA in pale blue scrubs stretched taut over shoulders like slabs of granite. Softness layered the powerful frame – a thick neck, rounded arms, a belly straining the fabric gently like a warm, firm pillow beneath the blue cotton. He held a clipboard loosely in one massive hand, thick fingers dwarfing the pen. His head was bent, dark hair cropped short, jawline strong beneath the fluorescent glare. He looked utterly absorbed, patient notes demanding his focus. Gentle giant. Power held quiet.

Heat prickled Chloe’s neck, fierce and undeniable. Lily’s words echoed: Pure power underneath. Hands? Massive. Warm. She watched the CNA shift his weight, the thick muscles in his thigh bunching visibly beneath the scrubs. A phantom sensation bloomed low in her own belly – the imagined weight of him, the sheer containment of that strength. Safe. Solid. Yet undeniably potent. The loneliness inside her twisted, sharpened into a sudden, visceral ache. Her knuckles whitened on the counter edge. Her mouth went dry.

Lily leaned close, her breath warm against Chloe’s ear. "See?" she whispered, low and conspiratorial. "Total brick shithouse." She nudged Chloe’s arm gently. "Looks like he could pin you down without even trying." A beat. "Or lift you up like you weigh nothing." Her dark eyes gleamed. "Safe. Sweet. Probably knows his way around a body." She paused, letting the image settle. "Exactly the type."

Chloe couldn’t tear her eyes away. The CNA glanced up, his gaze sweeping the corridor with calm efficiency before returning to his chart. His eyes were dark, thoughtful. Focused. Professional. Yet Chloe’s skin prickled everywhere. The sterile scent of bleach faded beneath a phantom warmth – imagined sweat, exertion, the sheer physicality of him. Safe? Maybe. But the raw potential radiating from his stillness was overwhelming. Her own breath felt shallow, trapped. The ache intensified, a deep, hollow throb beneath her ribs. Three days. Lily got cracked three days ago by a man like that.

Lily chuckled softly, noticing Chloe’s rapt stare, the flush creeping down her neck. "Told you," she murmured, popping her gum. "Perfect." She nudged Chloe again, playful. "Want me to introduce you? See if he’s single?" She grinned.

The fluorescent buzz pressed against Chloe’s eardrums. Lily’s grin was sharp, expectant. The CNA shifted his weight, thick thigh muscles flexing beneath pale blue scrubs, the fabric straining across the solid curve of his belly. Pure power underneath. Hands? Massive. Warm. The phantom sensation bloomed hotter, lower.

"Want me to intro?" Lily repeats, popping her gum, her voice thick with playful promise. "See if he’s single?"

The question snapped through Chloe’s trance like a rubber band. Panic surged, cold and electric, drowning the phantom warmth. Her pulse hammered against her ribs, a frantic drum solo drowning out the hospital’s hum. Her throat tightened, locking the air inside. Lily’s dark, knowing eyes pinned her. The sterile scent of bleach clawed at her nostrils. The sheer impossibility of Lily marching over right now, dragging her towards that mountain of gentle strength, exposed her raw, trembling core.

"Fuck no!" The denial ripped out, too loud, cracking the air near the nurses' station. Chloe flinched, heat scorching her neck and cheeks. She jerked her gaze away from the CNA, fixing it desperately on Lily’s startled face. "I-I was just looking..." Her voice dropped to a frantic whisper, trembling. The lie tasted like dust. She clutched the counter edge, knuckles bone-white. "Seriously, Lily, don't!"

Lily’s eyebrows shot up, surprise melting instantly into pure, unadulterated amusement. A slow, wide smile spread across her face, sharp and delighted. She leaned back against the counter, crossing her arms, radiating smug satisfaction. "Uh-huh," she drawled, the single syllable dripping with disbelief and triumph. She chuckled, low and throaty. "Right. Got it." Her dark eyes glittered, seeing everything Chloe tried desperately to hide. "Totally believable."

Chloe couldn't breathe. The fluorescent lights felt like interrogation lamps. Lily’s knowing smirk was unbearable. Chloe’s pulse hammered against her ribs, frantic and trapped.

Yet, every molecule in her body screamed for more information; if Lily could tease, Lily could damn well deliver the details Chloe craved.

The fluorescent buzz pressed against Chloe’s eardrums. Lily’s knowing smirk was unbearable, a branding iron on her flushed skin. Her knuckles ached where they gripped the counter edge, white against the pale laminate.

Every molecule screamed. The phantom weight of that CNA still pulsed low in her belly, tangled with the sharp sting of envy. Three days. Lily got cracked open three days ago. Chloe’s breath hitched, a ragged little sound swallowed by the corridor’s clatter. Her gaze darted back to Lily, dark eyes gleaming with pure triumph. The words clawed up her throat, raw and unstoppable. "Lily?"

"Yeah, Chloe?" Lily popped her gum, leaning in, all predatory patience.

Chloe swallowed, the antiseptic tang suddenly thick. Jealousy burned sour, envy twisted sharp, and a terrible, yearning awe made her voice tremble. "How?" It scraped out. "How did you get to… where… you know… with him?" Her gesture towards the distant water fountain was jerky, desperate. "Just… like that?"

Lily’s grin widened, sharp as broken glass. "Oh, that." She waved a dismissive hand, the picture of casual ease. "'S'not some epic quest, Chloe."

Lily waved a dismissive hand, popping her gum. "'S'not some epic quest, Chloe." She leaned her elbows on the counter, lowering her voice conspiratorially. "He and I are in the same nursing cohort." Her dark eyes gleamed. "Two weeks ago? Big Patho exam looming."

Chloe blinked, the sterile air suddenly thick. "Patho?"

"Yeah," Lily confirmed, nodding. "Brutal. He was hunting for a study partner." A slow, knowing smile spread. "So was I." She shrugged, casual. "Seemed practical. Met up. Fully platonic." Her gaze held Chloe's, intense. "Just... books. Notes. Coffee. Lots of coffee."

Chloe pictured it: Lily and this mountain of a man hunched over textbooks. The image felt jarringly mundane. Safe. "Studying," she echoed, the word tasting flat.

"Exactly," Lily said, popping her gum again. "Pure academia. Focused." She mimed flipping pages. "Then... test day." Her expression shifted, fierce satisfaction replacing the casualness. "We crushed it. Both passed." A beat. Silence stretched, charged now. Lily’s smile turned predatory, sharp. "Had to celebrate."

The fluorescent lights buzzed overhead, harsh. Lily didn’t elaborate. She didn’t need to. The word ‘celebrate’ hung in the antiseptic air, heavy with implication. Chloe’s skin prickled. Her knuckles whitened on the counter edge. The phantom weight of Benji returned, visceral and overwhelming. Studying. Passing. Then… that.

"How?" The question ripped from Chloe’s throat, raw and desperate. Her wide blue eyes locked onto Lily’s. "How did it...start?" The sterile scent of bleach clawed at her nostrils. "After studying? After passing?"

Lily chuckled, low and throaty. "Simple." She leaned closer, her breath warm against Chloe’s ear. "We were buzzing. Adrenaline, relief." Her voice dropped to a husky whisper.

Lily’s breath warmed Chloe’s ear, her husky whisper cutting through the fluorescent hum. "We walked to this off-campus bar near campus. Total dive." She pulled back slightly, her dark eyes sparkling with the memory. "Sticky floors, cheap beer smell, jukebox blaring classic rock." Her grin turned sharp, challenging. "Celebration shots seemed mandatory, right? I was riding the post-pass high, feeling invincible."

Chloe nodded, picturing the hazy bar, the thrum of relief and adrenaline Lily described. Her own pulse quickened. "Shots?"

Lily barked a laugh. "Oh yeah. Tequila. I declared shot-for-shot, full fucking send." She mimed slamming a glass, her expression fierce. "And I got pretty far, Chloe. Honestly impressed myself." A flicker of wry amusement crossed her face. "But Benji? Dude’s 305 pounds of pure muscle." She gestured broadly at the empty space beside her. "Built like a damn tank. I’m…" She gestured down at her own compact frame, "...not."

Chloe’s gaze flickered instinctively towards the distant water fountain where the burly CNA stood, a phantom sensation of overwhelming mass pressing in on her. "He didn’t get drunk?" she breathed, the question laced with awe and a hint of fear.

Lily snorted. "No, he got drunk, but functional drunk." She shook her head, a rueful smile playing on her lips. "Me? After shot number… four? Five? The room started doing the cha-cha." She wobbled slightly against the counter for effect. "My coordination tapped out long before my spirit did."

Chloe could almost see it: Lily valiantly matching him drink for drink, her smaller body steadily succumbing while Benji remained a solid, steady-ish mountain. The contrast was terrifyingly potent. "So you were…?"

"Wasted," Lily confirmed, popping her gum. "Gloriously, beautifully shit-faced." Her expression softened, a genuine warmth replacing the teasing.
