Chapter 3: Rising Action
Each day, Kate would maintain her façade as a loving partner to Mark, cooking dinner, going shopping, and sharing laughter. Meanwhile, each night found her indulging in her darker passions - consuming copious amounts of cocaine, engaging in torrid encounters with strangers, and relishing every drop of blood she could get her fangs upon.
The dichotomy between her two lives weighed heavily on her conscience, but she told herself that it was necessary. After all, she wasn't entirely sure why she turned into a vampire, nor whether she would revert back to normal someday. Until then, she must embrace her newfound powers and desires.
One evening, however, everything changed. While searching for her next fix, Kate encountered someone unexpected - Dominic Blackwood. A very high ranking Vampire and leader of a satanic cult.
Dominc has seen a lot of horrors during his time and knows exactly what to say or do to charm a girl like Kate. Even though Kate tries to avoid eye contact due to fear, shame, and self loathing. Dominic doesn't falter in making his intentions clear. They find themselves walking hand in hand down a deserted street late at night. Kate feels vulnerable and exposed under Dominic's watchful gaze. The cool autumn air brings an eerie calm to the city streets which adds to the mysterious nature of this encounter.
The neon lights from nearby shops cast a warm glow around them, illuminating the otherwise gloomy surroundings. Dominic pulls Kate closer to him, wrapping his arms securely around her petite frame.
Dominic's deep voice rumbled softly in her ears, “It’s okay, sweetheart. I understand your reservations. We don’t need to talk if you prefer.” His tender words eased some of Kate's anxiety.
She realized, despite his obvious age and experience, that she didn't sense danger from him. It almost seemed like he understood her better than anyone else. Or maybe, she just really wished he did. Kate found herself giving in to Dominc's comforting presence. Feeling protected and embraced, something she rarely experienced since becoming a vampire.
Kate, unable to resist his charisma, asked curiously,” What do you want?”
Dominic answered softly, “Just you.
Just being here with you, talking, learning about you. There is no need for anything else. For tonight, let us simply enjoy each other's company.” His genuineness touched Kate deeply. She felt safe enough to confide in him, expressing her inner turmoils about her transformation into a vampire and her constant struggle with her dual existence.
“This isn't easy for me either, you know?” Dominic whispered sympathetically. “And not because of our kind, but because we share similar challenges – trying to hold onto what makes us human amidst all the darkness.
I too wrestle with my urges daily…” Dominic trailed off, clearly struggling to convey the complexity of his feelings. “But perhaps our connection runs deeper than just physical pleasure,” he continued pensively.
Kate listened intently, drawn by his honesty and understanding. She noticed the faint scars marring his hands, telling stories of battles fought, victories won, and losses suffered. Those battle marks served as silent testaments to the life he led. Despite his age, his spirit remained youthful and adventurous.
Intrigued, Kate asked warily, "So, how old are you?"
Dominic smiled mischievously, "Old enough. Millenia"
There was something undeniably magnetic about him. Perhaps it was his ability to connect with others on a deeper level—to understand their suffering and offer solace. This rare quality made Kate feel comfortable opening up to him, discussing topics normally reserved only for close friends.
Echoing her earlier sentiment, Kate admitted, "I often wonder what kind of person I am without all this madness. Am I still good? I'm only nineteen and already have a successful career, a loving boyfriend but I need more.
More freedom, more power, more sex." Kate breathed passionately, baring her soul to him. In response, Dominic held her face tenderly, peering directly into her eyes, his voice low and hypnotic, yet laced with authority. "We vampires live forever, yes, but our immortality does come with responsibilities, Kate. Not just yours, but mine as well. We must learn to control ourselves." His words were like a warning and a promise rolled into one.
Fascinated by his words, Kate wanted to explore this strange new world further.
"Tell me more," she begged eagerly. "About the secrets of our kind and the laws governing our existence." Gathering his strength, Dominic revealed the hidden truths, speaking with confidence that bordered on arrogance. "Our code forbids certain acts,
Kate. One can never kill another vampire, nor create new ones without permission. We respect mortals, but may feast freely on them. The rules dictate our way of living, ensuring order among chaos."
As Kate absorbed this information, she couldn't help but admire Dominic's poise and authority. Despite his advanced years, there was an undeniable magnetism surrounding him. He commanded attention effortlessly.
"What about relations amongst vampires?" she questioned curiously. "Do you see yourself with a companion?
Someone equal to you in power and skill?" Kate ventured timidly, glancing upwards briefly, meeting Dominic's probing gaze.
Dominic nodded solemnly, his expression contemplative. "Indeed, we Vampires usually will have large harems of consorts.
He paused, assessing her reaction.
Finally, he spoke candidly, his tone serious. "I would love to have you in my harem. To learn the dark ways of our dark lord Satan."
Kate had heard rumors about such practices involving perverted rituals, gruesome sacrifices, and even more debauchery beneath the surface. These tales fueled her curiosity and drove her deeper into the underworld alongside Dominic.
As they walked through dimly lit alleys, Kate clung tightly to Dominic's arm, reassured by his powerful presence beside her. Though nervous, she could feel her body responding to his touch, stirred by his commanding energy.
Together, they entered the secluded alcove, its shadowy walls concealing countless whispers of sins committed. As the moonlight filtered through cracks in the window, bathing the room in an ethereal luminescence, Kate began unbuttoning her blouse slowly, deliberately teasing both of them.
Her fingers brushing against her bare skin sent electric currents coursing through her veins, making her heart race faster. Dominic observed her silhouette with appreciation, his gaze moving over her curves, lingering on her full breasts and firm hips.
As Kate slipped out of her clothes, exposing her pale flesh, he couldn't suppress the sudden surge of desire that flared within him. Her delicate neck appeared especially enticing, and he imagined biting gently before sucking the blood flowing below the surface. With trembling anticipation, Kate reached behind her back and unfastened the hook on her bra, letting it fall to the floor with a soft plop. Dominic watched hungrily as she freed her round, ripe breasts from their constraints, allowing them to spill forth proudly.
Their perfect symmetry tempted him beyond measure. Taking advantage of the moment, he moved in swiftly, pressing his lips against hers, feeling her respond with the same fervor. Kate surrendered fully to the heat building inside her, reaching out to wrap her legs around his waist, pulling him even closer.
Desperate to take things further, Dominic broke away slightly, tracing gentle kisses along her jawline until arriving at her earlobe.
Sucking it playfully, he whispered huskily, "Let me show you the pleasures of eternity, my dear..." Hearing these words, Kate knew there was no turning back, and allowed herself to be swept away by his passion.
Moving towards the bedroom area, they shed the rest of their clothes, leaving nothing but raw instinct and primal desire between them. Their bodies, once hesitant and unsure, became entwined together in a dance of hunger and ecstasy.
Each thrust brought Kate ever closer to her breaking point, her moans filling the air. Their breath came in heavy gasps, matching each other beat for beat. Every movement carried a sensuous intention, drawing the line between dominance and submission thinner and thinner.
Dominic's tongue swiped across her collarbone, causing goosebumps to rise on her smooth skin. He took her nipple between his teeth, lightly nibbling on it. At first, it tickled, then sparked a fire in her core.
Kate grabbed onto Dominic's headboard with white-knuckled intensity, feeling waves of pure delight crash down upon her. Unable to contain her excitement any longer, she cried out in ecstasy, welcoming each powerful stroke that penetrated her depths.
Dominic's muscular arms flexed, mirroring his rhythm as his own climax drew near. Sweat dripping from his brow, he savored every last drop of the forbidden fruit offered by his new protégé.
Embracing Kate's body, which quivered in a mixture of euphoria and exhaustion, he promised himself that she wouldn’t leave him empty-handed tonight. After all, she had taken everything he gave to her and demanded more - quite fitting for someone destined to become one of his consorts.
As dawn approached, the couple emerged from the shadows of their tryst, now they were famished. The two vampires thirsted for blood.
They didn't wait much time before indulging themselves. Dark figures creeping through the night, preying on those whose weak hearts raced fast in fear. Blood trickled down Kate's chin, as she fed ravenously on the fresh offering she found. It wasn't hard for Dominic to find his food too. Both were driven by insatiable appetites that needed to be quenched continuously.
After satisfying their immediate needs, they returned to the abandoned warehouse. Although satisfied physically, mentally, Kate felt confused and troubled.
She thought she understood what becoming a vampire meant, but it seemed to have altered her so fundamentally that some aspects frightened her. The violence involved, feeding off humans, the lack of empathy required for survival. All this changed her, distorted her morals, and caused doubts in her faith in humanity. What if her transformation turned her into something monstrous?
She decided to confront Dominic about these feelings.
