Chapter 2: Building Tension
A chorus of cicadas filled the air as Ria stepped into the dense woods, finding solace in the secluded glade where she and Silas often sought refuge. It was a secret hideaway, where soft streams of sunshine dappled the damp earth below and the air hung heavy with the promise of an unspoken carnal abandon. The jasmine bushes, with their white flowers and sweet scent, teased her, whispering their secrets as they gently swayed.
Ria brushed her hair back, her heart thumping in her chest as she called out for Silas.
"Silas, I'm here," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. The anticipation was electric. She heard the crunch of leaves and twigs as he approached, slowly revealing himself to her. That leather-clad figure with short black hair and piercing blue eyes.
"Hello, love," he purred, wrapping his strong arms around her small frame, "I've missed you." Her heart skipped a beat at the contact.
