Chapter 6: Breakfast of Humiliation

The morning light was a lie. It cut through the gaps in the curtains, sharp and clean, illuminating dust motes dancing over the ruin of the bed. Eric watched them, his body a hollowed-out shell. The stale smell of sex and shame had settled into the sheets, into his skin. He’d lain there for hours, motionless, after her breathing had evened into sleep. Now, the clock read 8:17 AM.

He moved on autopilot, pushing back the duvet, the cold air hitting the sticky patch on his stomach. He didn’t look at Lisa. He padded to the bathroom, the marble floor icy under his feet. He avoided the mirror, but he couldn’t avoid the scent of her bath gel, the memory of kneeling on this very spot. He scrubbed his hands and face, the water scalding, but he couldn’t get the taste out of his mouth.

Downstairs, the kitchen was deafeningly quiet. The bright, ordered space felt like a mockery. He made coffee, the grinding of the beans an aggressive roar. He scrambled eggs, his hands moving with a numb precision he usually reserved for coding. Toast. Orange juice. He arranged it all on a tray, the white porcelain plates stark and accusing. A single rose from the garden in a small vase. The perfect husband.

He carried it up the stairs, each step a effort. The tray felt impossibly heavy.

She was awake, propped against the pillows, scrolling through her phone. She didn’t look up as he entered. She had put on one of his old t-shirts, the soft gray cotton a stark contrast to the predatory creature of the night before. She looked soft, domestic. The dissonance made his head spin.

“Good morning,” he said, his voice rough.

She finally glanced at him, her eyes flicking from his face to the tray and back. A slow, satisfied smile touched her lips. “You made breakfast.”

He set the tray over her lap. She put her phone down, picking up a fork and poking at the fluffy yellow eggs. She took a bite, chewing slowly, her gaze fixed on the window.

“The reunion was… enlightening,” she said, as if discussing the weather.

Eric stood by the bed, his hands hanging uselessly at his sides. He didn’t know what to do. Sit? Leave? He was frozen.

“Darius hasn’t changed much. Still has that… energy.” She took a sip of coffee, her little finger extended slightly. “He’s bigger, though. Filled out. All those years in construction, I guess.”

The words landed like physical blows. Eric’s fists clenched.

“We didn’t even make it out of the parking lot,” she continued, her tone conversational. “His truck. Remember that big, lifted Ford he had in high school? It’s even bigger now. The seats are like leather benches.” She forked another bite of eggs. “He pushed the seat all the way back. So much room. I didn’t even have to take the dress all the way off. Just… hiked it up.”

She looked at him then, her eyes challenging him to look away. He couldn’t.

“He’s so much… thicker than you, Eric. It was a lot to take. At first.” She gave a little shrug, taking a delicate bite of toast. “But I remembered how. It’s like riding a bike, you know? Your body just remembers.”

Eric felt a cold sweat break out on the back of his neck. The image was there, vivid and unavoidable: Lisa, her dress ruffled around her waist, pressed against the cold leather, Darius’s broad form covering her.

“He’s loud,” she said, a faint, nostalgic smile playing on her lips. “Grunts. Like an animal. And his stamina… God. He just went and went. Made me scream. Actually scream. I think I left scratches on his dashboard.”

She put her fork down and pushed the tray aside, the eggs only half-eaten. She looked at him, really looked at him, her gaze stripping him bare.

“Come here.”

He took a hesitant step forward.

“Closer. Kneel.”

The command from the bathroom, now here, in their bed. His knees obeyed before his mind could protest, sinking into the soft carpet beside the bed. The position felt both alien and terrifyingly familiar.

She reached out and cupped his chin, her thumb stroking his cheek. Her touch was dry and cool. “You can still smell him on me, can’t you?” she whispered.

He could. Beneath the clean scent of his own t-shirt and her morning breath, it was there. The musky, foreign scent of another man’s sweat, another man’s skin.

“Taste,” she commanded, her voice low.

She guided his head forward, pressing his face against the soft skin of her inner thigh, just below the hem of the t-shirt. The flesh was warm. And there, undeniably, was the faint, salty, pungent residue. His stomach lurched. He tried to pull back, but her hand was firm on the back of his head.

“Taste it, Eric.” Her voice was flat, absolute.

He closed his eyes, his breath hitching. He pressed his lips against her skin. The taste was faint but unmistakable, a grotesque confirmation of everything she had said. He felt a traitorous twitch in his groin, a deep, shameful arousal that had nothing to do with love and everything to do with the raw, brutal power she held over him.

She released his head and he fell back, gasping, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand.

“See?” she said, leaning back against the pillows, a queen on her throne. “You’re part of it now.”

His body was betraying him completely now, his erection straining against his pajama pants. She saw it. Of course she saw it.

“You like this, don’t you?” she murmured, her voice dripping with a mixture of contempt and pleasure. “Knowing your pretty little wife got railed in a truck by a real man. It gets you hard.”

He shook his head, a weak, involuntary denial.

“Don’t lie to me.” Her voice hardened. “Touch yourself.”

“Lisa, please—”

“Do it.”

His hand moved to his pajamas, fumbling with the drawstring. He was painfully hard, throbbing with a need that sickened him. He wrapped his hand around himself, the touch sending a jolt of electric shame through his body.

She watched him, her eyes half-lidded, a predator observing its captive. “That’s it. Think about it. Think about his hands on my hips. Think about the way the truck was rocking.”

He stroked himself, his movements jerky and desperate. The pleasure was inextricably twisted with the images she painted, with the taste still on his tongue.

“You’re so pathetic,” she whispered, but there was a heat in her words now, a reciprocal excitement. “My pathetic little husband, getting off on his wife being someone else’s whore.”

He was close. So close. The pressure was building, a devastating wave of humiliation and release.

“Stop,” she said.

His hand froze. A whimper escaped his lips. “Lisa… I can’t…”

“You can,” she said, her voice calm and cruel. “You’ll do exactly what I say.” She let him hover there, on the edge, his entire body trembling with the effort of holding back. “Do you want to come?”

“Yes,” he begged, the word torn from him.

“Then ask for it.”

“Please. Please let me come.”

“No.” She shifted on the bed, moving closer to the edge, looking down at him. “Ask for what you really want.”

He stared up at her, his vision blurry with unshed tears and need. He didn’t understand.

“You want to see it, don’t you?” she pressed, her voice a seductive whisper. “You don’t just want to hear about it. You want to watch. You want to see him take what’s yours.”

The truth of it detonated inside him. It was the final, monstrous layer of his degradation. And it was undeniable.

“Yes,” he gasped, the admission a surrender.

“Say it.”

“I want… I want to watch.” The words felt like glass in his throat. “I want to watch you with him.”

She smiled, a wide, triumphant smile. “Good boy.”

Her permission was a trigger. His release was violent, a convulsive shudder that ripped through him, leaving him empty and broken on the floor beside the bed. He slumped forward, his forehead resting on the carpet, his breathing ragged.

She looked down at him, at the mess he’d made on the pristine fibers. She leaned over, her voice soft and intimate in his ear.

“Next time,” she promised, “you can kneel in the corner and watch.”

The taste of him was still a ghost on her skin, a secret they now shared. She watched Eric tremble on the floor, a damp spot spreading on the carpet between his knees. A low, humming satisfaction warmed her belly.

She reached for her phone on the nightstand, the screen lighting up her face. Her thumb swiped, tapped, and she put it to her ear, her eyes never leaving Eric’s hunched form. “Hey, you,” she breathed into the receiver, her voice shifting into a lower, intimate register.

Eric flinched at the sound.

“No, just lying in bed,” she said, a smile in her voice. “Thinking about last night.” She paused, listening, a slow grin spreading. “Mmhmm. That spot. In your truck.” She shifted, sliding a hand under the hem of the t-shirt, her fingers tracing idle patterns on her thigh. “I can still feel it.”

She held the phone away from her mouth. “Eric,” she said, her tone flat and instructional. “Come here. Your mouth is idle.”

He didn’t move, his body locked in place by shame.

“Now.” The word was a crack of thunder in the quiet room.

He crawled forward, his movements sluggish and drained. She parted her legs, guiding his head back to the same place, the same task. The faint, lingering musk filled his nostrils again. He closed his eyes, his tongue making a slow, torturous pass against her skin.

“What was that?” Lisa purred into the phone, feigning distraction. “Oh, that’s just Eric. He’s… servicing me.” She let out a soft, theatrical moan. “He’s being very attentive this morning.”

A rough, masculine laugh echoed tinnily from the phone. Darius’s voice was a dark rumble Eric could almost feel. Lisa’s fingers tangled in Eric’s hair, holding him in place.

“You know what he’s doing right now?” she said to Darius, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. “He’s cleaning me up. From you.” She tightened her grip on Eric’s hair, forcing him deeper. “Yeah. He’s licking your cum off me. Seems to really like the taste.”

Eric gagged, his body seizing, but she held him fast. The sound of Darius’s approving grunt drilled into his skull. He was just a function in their transaction, a utility.

“Tell me what you’d do to me right now,” she demanded, her breath hitching as Eric continued his grim work. She narrated Darius’s crude replies back to the room, her free hand roaming over her own body. “Yes… God, yes. Like that. Right there.”

The world narrowed to the scent of her, the taste of the other man, and the sound of a stranger’s voice claiming his wife. He was a ghost in his own life, an audience of one to his own obliteration.

Lisa’s back arched off the bed, a sharp cry tearing from her throat. The sound was real this time, raw and finishing. She shuddered, then went still, her grip in his hair finally loosening.

She took a deep, shaky breath into the phone. “I have to go.” A pause. “Tonight. I’ll text you.” She ended the call and let the phone drop to the sheets.

For a long moment, the only sound was Eric’s ragged breathing against her leg. She pushed his head away, a casual, dismissive gesture. He slumped back, wiping his mouth, his eyes hollow.

She looked down at him, her own satisfaction cooling into something appraising. “You see?” she said, her voice quiet and utterly calm. “This is what you are for.”
