Chapter 1: Introduction
The first time Steven noticed something was off was in the shower. He was lathering up, soaping his chest and stomach, when he paused. He ran his hand over his nipples, feeling a strange sensitivity. They were harder, more responsive. He frowned, tilting his head to examine them in the steam-fogged mirror.
"Strange," he muttered to himself, rubbing them with his thumb. They tingled, sending a weird, unfamiliar sensation straight down to his groin. He blinked, surprised at the unexpected reaction.
He stepped out of the shower, toweling off and getting ready for another mundane day at the office.
As he shaved, he caught sight of his reflection in the mirror. His face seemed softer, somehow. He ran his fingers over his cheeks, noticing a subtle change in the texture of his skin.
In the bedroom, he dressed quickly, pulling on a crisp white shirt and his favorite trousers. But they felt different today. The fabric rubbed against him in a way that was almost... sensual. He shook his head, attributing it to the new laundry detergent Susan had insisted on buying.
Downstairs, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air. Susan was already at the counter, her back to him as she poured herself a cup.
She was dressed in her usual lab coat, her short blonde hair tucked behind her ears, glasses perched on her nose. Despite the casual attire, there was an air of command about her, a sense of purpose that Steven had always found both intimidating and attractive.
"Morning, babe," he said, reaching for a mug. "You're up early."
She turned to him, her blue eyes scanning him quickly before she smiled. "Morning. Couldn't sleep. Work on my mind." She gestured to her laptop, open beside her. "You look nice, by the way."
Steven smiled, pouring himself coffee.
"Thanks. You too." He took a sip, then set the mug down with a soft thud. "Susan, have you noticed... anything different about me lately?"
Susan's brows furrowed as she considered his question. "Different? Like what?"
He hesitated, searching for the right words. "I don't know. My body feels... different. Softer, maybe?"
She chuckled, setting her mug down and walking towards him. "Well, you're not getting any younger, babe. We can't all stay as fit as you forever." She reached up, cupping his cheek.
Her fingers trailed down to his collarbone, skimming over his chest. Her touch was light, almost clinical, yet it sent another wave of that strange, unfamiliar sensation through him. He swallowed hard, trying to ignore the way his body was reacting.
"And this?" she asked, circling his nipple with her thumb. It hardened under her touch, and he couldn't suppress the small gasp that escaped him.
Susan's eyes narrowed, a small smile playing on her lips. "You're sensitive here, aren't you?" she murmured.
He nodded, his heart pounding in his chest. "Yes.
It's... new."
Susan's smile widened, and there was a gleam in her eyes that Steven couldn't quite place. "New, huh?" she said, her voice taking on a slightly teasing lilt. "Well, maybe that's just your body's way of telling you it's time for a change."
Steven chuckled, but there was an edge of discomfort to it. "A change?
Susan stepped back, her hands resting on her hips. "Well, you know how I've been working on that new line of... treatments.
It's a bit of an experiment, really," she said, her voice casual, as if she were discussing a new recipe she'd tried out. "I thought, why not try it on someone I trust?"
Steven's brows furrowed, a chill running down his spine. "You mean, you've been experimenting on me?"
Susan waved her hand dismissively. "Oh, come on, don't be so dramatic. It's just a little hormone replacement therapy. Nothing dangerous."
Steven took a step back, his eyes widening. "Hormone replacement therapy?
Susan, what are you talking about? Why would you do that without telling me?" Steven's voice was a low growl, his brows furrowed in a mix of confusion and anger. He crossed his arms over his chest, feeling a wave of betrayal wash over him.
Susan rolled her eyes, a sigh escaping her lips. "Relax, Steven. It's not like I injected you with some crazy experimental drug. I've just been adjusting your hormone levels to... enhance certain aspects of your body."
"Enhance?" Steven echoed, his voice rising. "Susan, my body feels strange.
