Chapter 1: Feast of Delusional Denial

The air in the Grand Buffet Pavilion was a physical thing, thick and heavy with the scent of roasting meats, exotic spices, and the cloying sweetness of a thousand desserts. Colorful lanterns swung gently in the warm breeze, casting a shifting kaleidoscope of light over the endless tables. The noise was a constant, happy roar—the clatter of porcelain, the splash of drinks, and the layered hum of a hundred conversations all underscored by the rhythmic beat of island music.

Nami’s eyes, usually sharp with the calculation of a future profit, were wide with a different kind of greed. Her orange hair was tied back, but loose strands stuck to her damp temples. “Do you have any idea how much this must cost per plate?” she muttered, her voice a mix of horror and fascination. Her denim shorts, a favorite pair, felt unusually tight across the seat, the button digging a small, persistent ache into her waist. She told herself it was just the humidity.

“I believe the cost is included in the festival admission, dear navigator,” Robin said with a calm smile, though her own gaze was locked on a shimmering fountain of dark, molten chocolate. Her sophisticated dress, usually flowing, was pulling taut across her bust as she breathed in the sugary air. She shifted her weight, feeling the fabric strain across her hips with a soft whisper.

Vivi, ever the picture of royal grace, was doing her best to maintain composure. But her resolve was crumbling with every passing moment. She watched a server glide by with a tower of cream-puffed pastries, her mouth watering. “It would be impolite not to sample the local cuisine,” she reasoned, her voice a little too bright. When she sat on a carved wooden bench to adjust her sandal, she was acutely aware of the way her thighs spread against the seat, the soft flesh of her buttocks overflowing the edges. It’s just the way I’m sitting, she thought, brushing a crumb from her lap.

Boa Hancock stood apart, her arms crossed tightly over her chest. The elaborate robes of the Pirate Empress, designed to intimidate and allure, now felt like a prison. The seams under her arms were tight, and the sash around her waist was no longer the loose, elegant drape she preferred. “This is… common gluttony,” she declared, her nose in the air. But then Luffy bounded past, his hand already buried in a whole roasted ham, his laughter infectious.

“Hancock, you gotta try this! It’s amazing!” he yelled, bits of meat flying from his mouth.

Her stern facade cracked. For him. Always for him. She uncrossed her arms, the movement making the rich fabric strain across her now-voluptuous bosom. “If my love wishes it,” she murmured, her cheeks flushing.

Nami finally succumbed, loading a plate with a golden slice of pineapple cake. The first bite was a revelation. The cake was impossibly light, the filling a perfect balance of tart and sweet. Her money-saving instincts evaporated. “Okay, this is… this is worth it,” she moaned, immediately reaching for another slice. She washed it down with a large glass of chilled orange juice, the sweetness intensifying the pleasure, a familiar thirst awakening in her.

Robin had abandoned all pretense of cool sophistication. She was now stationed by the chocolate fountain, a stack of empty plates beside her. She dipped a ripe strawberry into the dark cascade, her eyes closing in bliss as she ate it. “The cacao beans here must be a variant of the Forbidden Bean of Elbaf,” she mused, her words slightly muffled by the treat. “The historical texts mention a creamy texture, but this… this is transcendent.” She reached for a cream-filled profiterole, noticing how her dress felt snugger around her midsection as she leaned forward. A temporary fullness, she assured herself.

Vivi, seeing her friends’ abandon, finally let go. She piled her plate high with spiced skewers, fluffy rice cakes, and a shimmering jelly that wobbled enticingly. She laughed, a real, unguarded laugh that made her sides shake. “This is so much fun!” she exclaimed, her former reserve melting away with every bite. The tightness of her blouse around her bust and the pull of her skirt across her hips were distant concerns, easily ignored.

Luffy watched them all, a wide grin on his face. He wasn't particularly interested in the food for himself; he’d already eaten his body weight in meat. His attention was on his crew. Robin, with her curves becoming even more pronounced, her presence more grounded and relaxed. Hancock, her imposing figure softening into something lush and inviting, her eyes only for him. He liked it. He liked it a lot.

“You guys should eat more!” he encouraged, pushing a platter of glazed doughnuts toward the center of their table. “There’s still so much we haven’t tried!”

Nami, her mouth full of cake, just nodded, her earlier sharpness replaced by a dreamy contentment. She poured herself another large glass of juice. Hancock, now seated, was carefully feeding Luffy a piece of frosted cake, her own plate heaping with delicacies. Her regal bearing was still there, but it was warmer, more maternal.

Robin leaned back in her chair with a satisfied sigh, a half-eaten chocolate tart in her hand. “The density of this ganache is remarkable,” she said, her voice lazy and warm. She patted her stomach absently, feeling a pleasant, solid roundness there. It’s just the rich food, she thought. It will settle.

Vivi giggled as she tried to get up for another helping and found herself sinking back into the cushioned chair with a soft grunt. “These chairs are just so deep,” she laughed, pushing herself up again, her movements a little slower, a little heavier than before.

The sun began to set, painting the sky in hues of orange and purple, matching the lanterns. The pavilion was a mess of empty plates and happy, sated people. As they finally decided to leave, a collective groan went up.

“I am so full,” Nami sighed, rubbing her stomach, which now pressed firmly against the inside of her t-shirt. “I must have eaten five pounds of cake.”

“It is merely water weight from the juice,” Robin stated calmly, though she had to adjust the strap of her dress where it bit into her shoulder.

“Yes, just bloating,” Vivi agreed, tugging at the hem of her skirt which had ridden up. “It was all so salty.”

Hancock said nothing, merely taking Luffy’s arm as they walked, her own steps a tad less graceful, her hips swaying with a new, heavier rhythm. She felt… comfortable. Content.

Luffy looked back at the receding lights of the pavilion, then at the four women walking beside him, their forms rounded and soft in the twilight. He grinned. Tomorrow was another day. Another feast. He couldn’t wait.
