Chapter 2: Denial Soaks Away in Hot Springs
The wooden walkway to the hot springs groaned a low, persistent complaint with every step they took. The sound was lost beneath the chatter and the distant, cheerful melody of island musicians. Steam, thick and carrying the faint, mineral scent of the springs, curled into the cool evening air.
“It’s just the humidity,” Nami stated, more to herself than anyone, as a board creaked particularly loudly under her foot. Her simple towel wrap felt shorter than she remembered, the fabric stretching tight across her seat and hips. “It warps the wood.”
Robin, walking beside her with a languid grace that seemed to cost her more effort than before, nodded in agreement. “A common occurrence in geothermal areas. The constant moisture compromises the structural integrity of untreated lumber.” Her own wrap was a study in tension, the knot sitting precariously above a bust that had swelled noticeably, the tops of her heavy breasts threatening to spill over the terrycloth. She adjusted it, her fingers brushing against soft, warm flesh.
Vivi giggled as she wobbled slightly on a loose plank. “It’s like the walkway is alive!” Her thighs, now thick and solid, rubbed together with a soft swish-swish with each step, a sensation she attributed to the lightweight fabric of her wrap. Her buttocks, full and heavy, jiggled with the movement. She felt wonderfully loose-limbed and relaxed, the last vestiges of her royal posture abandoned.
Boa Hancock brought up the rear, her chin held high despite the flush on her cheeks. The walkway’s protestations were an impertinence she chose to ignore. Her regal robe was replaced by a towel that was frankly inadequate, the fabric straining across a bosom that had become truly monumental. Her soft middle, a new and unfamiliar topography, pressed against the wrap. She focused on Luffy, who was bounding ahead, completely oblivious to the groaning wood.
They reached the women’s spring and eased themselves into the large, rock-lined pool. The water was blissfully hot, enveloping them in an instant, soothing embrace.
A collective sigh escaped them.
Nami sank until the water lapped at her chin, the heat seeping into muscles she hadn’t realized were so sore. She felt her body loosen, a pleasant weightlessness taking over. Her stomach, soft and rounded, bobbed slightly in the water, forming two distinct rolls that broke the surface. She closed her eyes. “This is heaven.”
Robin found a submerged ledge to sit on, the water rising to the middle of her chest. Her breasts floated upwards, buoyant and pale, two large islands in the steamy water. She let out a contented hum, the scholarly tension draining from her shoulders. She leaned her head back against the smooth rock, her rounded belly making a soft dome above the waterline.
Vivi settled with a small splash, the water displacing around her generous hips. She found that her thick thighs pressed together firmly, occupying a significant amount of space on the stone seat. It was comfortable, a feeling of being grounded. She giggled again, the sound echoing lightly in the steamy enclosure. “I could stay here forever.”
Hancock managed to find a spot, her entrance into the water causing a small wave that sloshed against the sides. The water, which would have once covered her to the shoulders, now only reached the top of her expansive chest. Her shoulders, once sharp and imposing, were now padded with softness. She sighed, a long, slow exhalation that seemed to deflate her regal persona, leaving behind a flushed, giggly softness. “It is… acceptable,” she murmured, her eyes drifting closed.
They lounged in silence for a time, the only sounds the gentle lap of water and their own slow, contented breathing. The heat made them drowsy. Nami’s sharp mind, usually calculating wind currents and berry exchanges, was blissfully empty. Robin’s thoughts, normally teeming with historical dates and linguistic puzzles, were focused solely on the sensation of the hot water on her skin.
The moment was broken by Luffy’s voice, cheerful and unannounced, from the other side of the bamboo partition. “Hey! I brought you guys some snacks! The guy at the grill said these are the best!”
Before any of them could form a protest, a platter laden with food was placed on the wide ledge that divided the springs. There were skewers of glazed meat, bowls of salted edamame, and a small mountain of fluffy, steamed buns.
Nami’s stomach, which had been peacefully submerged, rumbled. The sound was audible in the quiet steam. “Luffy! This is the women’s bath!” she called out, but her voice lacked its usual bite. Her eyes were fixed on the glistening skewers.
“So? You’re still eating, right?” came the oblivious reply, followed by the sound of his retreating footsteps.
A beat of silence hung in the steam-filled air.
Vivi was the first to move, heaving herself up with a soft grunt. Water streamed from her body, highlighting the new, generous curves of her hips and the solid width of her thighs. She reached for a skewer. “Well, it would be a shame to let it go to waste.”
That was all the permission the others needed. Robin pushed herself through the water, her movements slow and heavy, her large breasts swaying with the motion. She selected a steamed bun, the white dough looking delicate in her hand. “The historical precedent for post-bathing nourishment is quite strong,” she remarked before taking a large, appreciative bite.
Nami paddled over, her arms feeling pleasantly lethargic. She took a skewer, the sweet-salty smell making her mouth water. She bit into the tender meat, a groan of pleasure escaping her. The momentary guilt about cost was a distant memory, washed away by the heat and the immediate gratification.
Hancock, with a sigh of resignation that was entirely performative, moved to the ledge. Her progress through the water was a stately, ponderous affair. She picked up a single edamame pod, her movements still graceful, but then her eyes fell on the steamed buns. She took two, then a skewer for good measure. “For my love,” she whispered to herself, though she began eating one of the buns immediately, a dreamy smile on her face.
They ate in the water, the steam coating their skin in a fresh sheen of sweat, their bodies floating in a state of heavy contentment. The platter was soon empty, a collection of bare skewers and empty bowls.
Nami leaned back against the rocky edge, one hand resting on her full, warm belly, which now floated before her like a soft, submerged moon. “It’s just the water making us look puffy,” she mumbled, her words slurred with sleepiness.
“Of course,” Robin agreed, her voice a low, drowsy murmur. She cupped her hands, lifting water to pour over her chest, the stream cascading over the heavy slopes of her breasts. “The thermal expansion is quite pronounced.”
Vivi just giggled, her eyes closed, her head lolling to the side. She felt stuffed and wonderful, too lazy to even form a denial.
Hancock said nothing. She simply sank a little deeper, the water now covering her shoulders, her immense chest rising and falling with her slow, sleepy breaths. The creaking walkway, the tight towels, the way her body felt so substantial and present—it was all a small price to pay for this feeling of warm, well-fed bliss.
Outside, the moon rose over the resort, and the distant, iconic volcano stood silent watch. Tomorrow, the festival would continue. And so would they.
