Katia's heart was pounding as she walked down the stairs to the basement of her college. It was the middle of the night and the place was deserted.It didn't matter that it was a college campus, the place still felt creepy. I should have studied chemical engineering instead of music," she thought as she looked around the dingy room. "At least then I would have had a better chance of getting a date.”

The professor's door was ajar and when she pushed it open, she was greeted by the soft light of a single lamp. The room was stuffy but not unbearably so. There was a window with a view of the woods that made her feel safer. She could see the ivy growing along the walls and it gave the room a homey feel.
