Ms Americana, superheroine and savior of Delta City. Her powers come from suppressed sexual desires. If she ever orgasms, she becomes weak. She will resist all sexual touches as much as she can though she secretly wants them.

Chapter 5: The Second Variable

Simon’s breath was hot against her ear. The clinical curiosity had burned away, replaced by something darker, more familiar. He’d seen her stop herself. He’d witnessed the veto in real time, and instead of defeat, it had sparked a new, ugly hypothesis.

“You think you can hold the line forever?” he whispered. His hands came down on her hips, not with passion, but with a possessive, testing grip. He pulled her back against him. The rough seam of his denim jeans scraped against the bare skin of her ass. She felt the hard line of his erection through the fabric, a blunt pressure against her spine. A threat. A metric.

Her body, still screaming from the self-inflicted denial, reacted with a treacherous surge of heat. She hated it. Hated him. Hated the part of her that liquified at the sheer, undeniable fact of being wanted, even like this.

“Delete the files, Simon.” Her voice was strained, the Ms. Americana resonance gone, leaving only Valerie’s raw edge.

“In a minute.” His right hand slid around her hip, fingers trailing through the sweat-dampened hair at the junction of her thighs. He found her wetness easily. She gasped, her head falling back against his shoulder involuntarily. “I need more data. A forced variable. Let’s test your stamina.”

His fingers were clever. Not tender. Efficient. He mapped her with a detached precision that was more violating than any clumsy grope. A slow, circling pressure on her clit that made her thighs tremble. A shallow, teasing dip inside her that had her pushing back against his hand, seeking more, betraying herself completely.

“Please,” the word slipped out, mangled. She didn’t know what she was asking for. Stop. Don’t stop. Let me go. Let me come.

“Please what?” he murmured, his mouth against her hair. He increased the pace, his fingers working in a steady, ruthless rhythm. The climax built like a tsunami this time, faster, harder, fueled by the earlier denial. It towered over her, inevitable. Her vision tunneled. Her knees buckled. He held her up with the arm locked around her waist.

This was it. The edge of the steelworks gantry. The shower head’s promise. The woman on the cross screaming into the velvet dark.

He stopped.

His fingers went utterly still, then withdrew completely.

The orgasm didn’t just recede; it vanished, leaving a vacuum of sensation so profound it felt like a physical injury. A punched-out, airless gasp ripped from her lungs. Her whole body convulsed in a brutal, unsatisfied spasm. She would have collapsed if he weren’t holding her.

“Fascinating,” Simon breathed, his own excitement palpable against her back. “The physiological crash is almost identical to release, but the energy source remains… capped. Contained. Like a corked volcano.”

Tears of fury and frustration blurred the glowing screens. Humiliation burned hotter than any desire. He was treating her like a complex engine, a puzzle to be solved by breaking its components.

His hand returned, slick from her own body. “Again.”

He did it three more times.

Each cycle was a refined torture. He learned her tells—the hitch in her breath, the specific tremble in her quadriceps, the way her internal muscles fluttered just before the point of no return. He brought her to that precise millisecond before detonation, every time. And every time, he severed the connection.

The fourth time, she shattered in a different way. Not into release, but into a fractured, sobbing rage. Her body was a live wire of unmet need, shaking uncontrollably. Sweat and tears made cold trails on her skin. “Stop. Just fucking stop.”

“You’re begging,” he observed, his voice humming with a perverse satisfaction. “But you’re not using your strength. Why? Because you know if you fight me, if you really thrash, you might rub yourself against me just right and finish the job? Your power is your own enemy.”

He was right. It was the most vicious truth of her existence. Every struggle risked a caress. Every attempted throw could become a grinding contact. Her invincibility was a china vase balanced on a wire of unspent tension.

His hand moved away from her core, sliding up her stomach, over her ribs, closing roughly over one breast. He pinched the nipple, hard. The pain was bright, clarifying. It cut through the fog of frustrated pleasure. It was a sensation she could understand, could use.

“You like that,” he stated, feeling her body’s confused jolt.

“I like control,” she spat, the words finding solid ground. “This isn’t it.”

“Semantics.” He squeezed again, twisting. Her sharp intake of breath seemed to gratify him. His other hand slid back down, fingers pushing inside her deeply, once, twice, a mockery of penetration. “One more. Let’s see if the breaking point is absolute or if you’ll just… short circuit.”

He began again. The circling. The building. Her body, exhausted and sensitized, climbed the peak with a terrifying, effortless speed. She was a puppet on the strings of her own biology. The wave gathered, higher than before, a final, crushing weight. She was going over. She couldn’t stop it. His fingers were a relentless machine.

She looked up, through her tears, at the monitor still displaying the frozen image of her on the rooftop. At the reflection of the room in the dark glass. And she saw it. Behind Simon, on the wall by the door, was a small, discreet security camera, a red LED winking. It wasn’t just pointed at the door. Its wide-angle lens captured the entire room. Captured this.

He was recording it all. Of course he was. This was his masterpiece.

That cold, tactical part of her mind, the part that had walked into the Gilded Cross to study the battlefield, finally ignited. The humiliating data stream was a problem. This live feed was a catastrophic, immediate threat.

The climax hovered, a split-second away. Simon’s breath was ragged in her ear, his own control fraying.

With the last shred of her will, Valerie didn’t fight the sensation. She leaned into it. She slammed her hips back against his hand, forcing his fingers deeper, mimicking surrender. A guttural, convincing cry tore from her throat.

“Yes! Now, you bastard, now!”

She felt him tense, believing he’d won. His grip on her breast tightened in triumph.

In that moment of his distraction, she let her knees truly give way. She didn’t just sink; she dropped like a stone, her dead weight sudden and absolute. She slipped from his loosened hold, falling forward onto the gritty floor.

The move was brutal, graceless. Her palms and knees scraped against concrete littered with cable trimmings. The pain was sharp, clean.

She rolled, kicking out sideways with all her might—not at Simon, but at the desk leg supporting the bank of primary monitors. The metal shrieked, buckling. The desk tipped. Six glowing screens, the keyboard, Simon’s meticulously organized data hubs, all crashed to the floor in a symphony of shattering glass and plastic.

Simon screamed, “No!” He lunged not for her, but for the equipment, his precious data.

Valerie was already moving, scrambling on all fours toward the wall by the door. She didn’t stand; standing would make her a target, would require balance she didn’t have. She reached the wall, curled her fingers around the small, dome-shaped security camera, and ripped it clean from its mount with a dry crack of snapping wires.

She crushed it in her fist, feeling plastic and circuitry collapse into dust.

Panting, naked, and filthy, she looked back. Simon was on his knees amid the wreckage, frantically trying to plug a cable into a fractured hard drive. The main upload screen was dark, dead.

The red pulse was gone.

The immediate feed was killed. The vault, for this second, was sealed.

She stayed on the floor, gathering the splinters of herself. The unspent energy still thrummed under her skin, a battery now charged with fury and a sick, violated ache. She watched him sob over his broken toys.

“The servers, Simon,” she said, her voice quiet and lethally calm. “The distributed files. You’re going to access them now. And you’re going to tell me who funded your research. Because a kid like you doesn’t build this lab with pocket change.”

He looked up at her, his face pale with loss. She saw it then, behind the anger, a seed of fear. He wasn’t just a lone obsessive. He was an employee.

Someone else already knew.
