Chapter 33: The Unseen Observer
Dinner was a surreal pantomime of normalcy. The steak, cooked to a perfect medium-rare, sat gleaming on bone china. Roasted baby potatoes. Asparagus spears. A bottle of Barolo breathed beside Catriona’s elbow.
Aidan’s body still hummed from the kitchen, a live wire stripped of its insulation. He felt raw, seen in a way that scraped at his old notions of privacy. He tried to focus on the food, the rich taste of the meat, but his senses were flooded with other memories: the salt on Jenny’s lips, the approving cadence of his wife’s voice.
Lucia sat at the far end of the table, small and impossibly quiet in a simple black dress. Her eyes, huge and dark, kept darting from her plate to Aidan, to Jenny, to Catriona. She ate with precise, careful movements, as if afraid a wrong click of her fork would shatter the scene.
“The pan sauce is exceptional, Cat,” Aidan said, forcing himself into the role of husband. The words sounded hollow in his own ears.
“Thank you. It’s the shallots.” Catriona sipped her wine, her gaze steady over the rim. “Jenny, you’re barely eating. Studying burns calories, you know. You need your strength.”
Jenny, seated to Aidan’s left, pushed a potato around her plate. A faint, smug smile played on her lips. “Just savoring it.”
“Mmm.” Catriona put her glass down. The candle flame between them jumped. “Actually, I’ve been thinking. About pacing. About the integration of pleasure into the everyday. The kitchen was one lesson. But true mastery isn’t compartmentalized.” She leaned forward slightly. “Aidan, is your hunger for food satisfied?”
He paused, a piece of steak halfway to his mouth. “Getting there.”
“But other hungers are more persistent, aren’t they?” Her tone was conversational, light. “I can see it. You’re still tight across the shoulders. Jenny left you wanting more, even after that beautiful finish.”
Jenny looked up, her eyes gleaming. “I did?”
“Oh, not through any fault of yours, darling. It’s his metabolism. The engine idles high.” Catriona’s smile was a slow, knowing curve. “I think a practical demonstration of seamless integration is in order. For Lucia’s continued education.”
Lucia’s fork stilled completely.
“Catriona, we’re eating,” Aidan said, a weak protest.
“And we’ll continue. Jenny, come here.” Catriona gestured to the space on Aidan’s lap. “Sit. Feed him. Let’s explore the duality of care.”
Without hesitation, Jenny stood. The legs of her chair scraped softly on the hardwood. She moved around to Aidan, her hips swaying with a new, innate confidence. Then she settled onto his lap, her weight warm and familiar. The thin cotton of her shorts was no barrier. He felt the heat of her immediately.
She picked up his fork, speared a piece of steak, and brought it to his lips. “Open,” she whispered.
He obeyed. The meat was tender, rich. He chewed slowly, his hands coming to rest on her thighs.
“Good,” Catriona murmured, as if to a pupil. “Now, Lucia, observe the dual attention. One hand for sustenance.” As she spoke, Jenny’s left hand, holding the fork, went back to the plate for asparagus. “And the other…” Catriona nodded.
Jenny’s right hand slipped beneath the tablecloth. Her fingers found the button of his jeans, worked it open, then the zip. Her cool, clever hand slid inside, wrapping around him. He was already half-hard, and under her touch he thickened to full, aching life.
Aidan inhaled sharply, the food in his mouth momentarily forgotten.
“See?” Catriona said, her voice a low purr of instruction. “The conversation doesn’t stop. The world doesn’t stop. The pleasure simply… coexists. It becomes part of the fabric. Feed him, Jenny.”
Jenny brought the asparagus to his lips, her other hand moving with a slow, milking rhythm beneath the table. The contrast was maddening—the crisp green vegetable, the earthy taste, the secret, slick friction of her grip. He ate, his jaw tense.
“He’s fully engaged now,” Catriona noted clinically. “The physiological response is absolute. This is the control we cultivate. The ability to tend to multiple appetites at once.” She took another sip of wine. “Now, transition. Demonstrate the fluidity.”
Jenny understood. She put the fork down with a soft click. Still seated on him, she wriggled, pushing her shorts and underwear down just enough with one hand. Then she lifted herself, guiding him with the other.
There was no breaking the gaze between them. Her luminous eyes held his as she sank down, taking him inside her in one smooth, deep glide. A faint, breathy sigh escaped her. She was already wet, impossibly so, her body welcoming him with a clenching heat that made his vision blur.
They were joined, fully, hidden by the heavy damask tablecloth. The candlelight flickered over her face, over the sheen of sweat starting on her upper lip.
“Perfect,” Catriona breathed. Her own cheeks were flushed. “Now, move. But slowly. This is about feeling every fraction. This is about the connection, not the climax. Yet.”
Jenny began to rock, a gentle, rolling undulation of her hips. The motion was subtle, deep, a contained tide. Aidan’s hands gripped her thighs, his knuckles white. He could feel every ridge, every pulse of her around him. The room filled with the soft, wet sound of their joining, barely audible over the faint jazz still streaming from the kitchen speakers.
“Lucia, come closer,” Catriona commanded softly. “Don’t be shy. You need to see the details.”
The young girl rose, her movements hesitant. She circled the table, stopping a few feet from Aidan and Jenny, her eyes wide and unblinking, fixed on the point where their bodies met beneath the cloth.
“See how she uses her core? It’s not just hips. It’s the whole abdomen. She’s drawing him in, millimeter by millimeter. She’s making love to him, even now. This is what devotion looks like. This is the standard.”
Jenny’s pace increased incrementally, her breaths coming in short, sharp pants. Her head fell forward, her forehead touching Aidan’s. “You feel so good,” she mumbled against his skin, the words hot and secret. “Always so good inside me.”
Aidan was lost. The sensory overload was total: the weight of her, the incredible tight heat, the scent of her skin and sex mixed with roasted garlic and wine, the voyeuristic eyes of his wife and the maid fixed upon them. His control, his prized discipline, was ash. A groan built in his chest, raw and helpless.
“She’s close,” Catriona announced, her voice thrumming with excitement. “You can see the flutter in her throat. And he’s right there with her. This is the synergy. Now, Jenny, take what’s yours. Let him finish it.”
It was all the permission Jenny needed. Her movements became urgent, a driving, frantic rhythm. She cried out, a sharp, bitten-off sound, and her inner muscles clamped around him in fierce, rhythmic pulses.
That was it. Aidan shattered. His climax tore through him, a white-hot current of release that seemed to pull from the very soles of his feet. He emptied into her with a rough, animal sound, his hips bucking up to meet her, driving himself as deep as he could go until he was spent, trembling, anchored only by her body on his.
For a long moment, the only sounds were their ragged breathing and the whisper of the candle flame.
Slowly, Jenny lifted herself off him. She was unsteady as she stood, pulling her clothing back into place. A trickle of white traced a path down her inner thigh.
“There,” Catriona said, her voice rich with satisfaction. “Lucia. Come see. This is the result of perfect technique and total surrender. Look.”
Lucia stepped forward, her gaze dropping to the creamy evidence on Jenny’s skin. She didn’t recoil. She leaned in, studying.
“This is the gift he gives,” Catriona continued, her hand reaching out to gently tilt Lucia’s chin up, making the girl look at her. “And this is how you honor it. You learn from the best. Now, go upstairs. Process the lesson. We’ll discuss it tomorrow.”
Lucia nodded, silent, and turned, slipping out of the dining room without a backward glance.
Jenny, wobbling slightly, sank back into her own chair. She reached for her water glass and drank deeply.
Catriona finally looked at Aidan. He felt utterly laid bare, more than naked—psychically flayed. She smiled, reaching across the table to take his hand. Her thumb stroked his knuckles.
“Now,” she said gently, as if coming to the end of a business meeting. “Where were we? Oh yes. Dessert. I think we’ve all earned it.”
