Chapter 38: The Unexpected Confession
The house was finally quiet. A deep, post-storm quiet. Aidan sat in the leather armchair in his study, a half-finger of scotch swirling in the crystal glass. The desk lamp was the only light, a small pool of yellow fighting back the shadows that gathered in the corners where the bookshelves stood like silent witnesses. He could still smell it—the citrus air freshener from the living room underneath the richer, muskier scent that now permeated the entire ground floor. A permanent record.
He took a slow burn of the whiskey, letting it carve a path down his throat. His body was exhausted, humming with a spent, surreal energy. His mind wouldn’t stop. The image of Lucia and Jenny on their knees, their dark heads close together. The look on Catriona’s face as she watched, a conductor pleased with her orchestra. The feeling of complete, terrifying abandon.
The door creaked open.
He didn’t move. A shadow stretched into the room, then Lucia slipped inside, closing the door softly behind her. She was in a simple cotton sleep shirt and shorts, her hair down in a tousled black wave over her shoulders. She looked younger, more vulnerable than she had on the rug.
She stood just inside the room, her hands clasped in front of her, trembling. The lamp light caught the anxious sheen in her dark eyes.
“I couldn’t sleep,” she whispered. Her voice was small, cracking on the second word.
Aidan set his glass down on the desk with a soft click. The sound was too loud in the quiet. “Neither could I.”
“Jenny’s out cold. She just… conked out.” Lucia shifted her weight. “Catriona’s room… the light’s off.”
They listened to the silence, the old house settling around them. A floorboard sighed somewhere upstairs.
“I can’t stop thinking about it,” she said, the words rushing out now. “About yesterday. About you. About all of it.” She took a step closer, the shadows shifting on her face. “It’s all I can see when I close my eyes. The study. The living room. Your… taste. I don’t know what’s wrong with me.”
“Nothing’s wrong with you,” Aidan said, his own voice rough. It was the truth. She was a magnet, pulling at every buried instinct he had.
“I’ve never felt anything like that before,” she continued, as if he hadn’t spoken. She was working herself up to something, her chest rising and falling faster. “It was like… a circuit completed. A chemical reaction. I want to understand it. I need to.” She looked directly at him, her gaze fierce now, chasing away the fear. “I want you to teach me. Not with everyone watching. Just… show me.”
Aidan’s pulse hammered in his ears. He should stop this. He should tell her to go back to bed, that tomorrow they’d talk, that it was too much too soon. But the memory of her mouth, tentative and then hungry, was a live wire in his brain. The fantasy of being taken by surprise had mutated into this—a reality where the surprises never ended, each one more perilous and electric than the last.
He rose from the chair. The leather gave a soft sigh of release.
Lucia didn’t back away. She lifted her chin, a gesture of defiance mixed with desperate hope. Her fingers went to the first button of her sleep shirt.
“You don’t have to—” he started.
“I know,” she interrupted. The button popped open. Then the next. The cotton parted, revealing the smooth, olive-toned skin of her sternum, the shadowed valley between her breasts. “I want to.”
The shirt slipped from her shoulders, puddling on the Persian rug at her feet. She stood before him in just her shorts, her DD breasts full and heavy in the low light, tipped with tight, dusky nipples. She was trembling, but she didn’t try to cover herself. She was letting him look, offering herself as a subject for his instruction.
He closed the distance between them. The air between their bodies felt charged, ionized. He could smell her shampoo, the clean scent of her skin underneath the lingering trace of salt and sex from earlier.
His hands found her waist, his thumbs stroking the delicate ridges of her hip bones through the thin shorts. She was so small. Her skin was fever-warm.
She tilted her face up to his, her lips parted, her breath coming in short, soft puffs. No words now, just silent, expectant surrender.
He lowered his mouth to hers, but didn’t kiss her. He hovered, a breath apart. “Teaching requires focus,” he murmured, his voice a low rumble. “And patience. You have to go slow. Learn the anatomy.”
He bent his head, pressing his lips not to her mouth, but to the frantic pulse at the base of her throat. She gasped, her hands coming up to clutch at his shoulders. He tasted her skin there, laved it with his tongue, felt the jump of her heartbeat under his mouth.
His hands slid up her sides, tracing the curves of her ribs until his thumbs brushed the undersides of her breasts. She whimpered, arching into the touch. “See?” he whispered against her collarbone. “The body gives you clues. It tells you what it needs.”
One hand cupped the full, heavy weight of her breast, his palm rough against the silken skin. His thumb circled her nipple, once, twice, feeling it pebble into a hard point. Lucia’s head fell back, a low moan escaping her.
“You’re so responsive,” he said, switching his attention to her other breast, taking the nipple into his mouth through the fabric of her shorts. He sucked gently, the cotton dampening under his tongue. She cried out, her fingers tangling in his hair, holding him there.
He guided her backwards until the edge of the solid oak desk met her thighs. He broke contact, his own breathing ragged. “Up,” he instructed, his voice leaving no room for argument.
She understood. With a burst of clumsy strength, she hoisted herself up to sit on the desk, sending a pen rolling. The cool, smooth wood was a shock against her bare skin. Aidan stepped between her parted legs, his hands running up her thighs, pushing the shorts up until they bunched at her hips. He didn’t remove them. Not yet.
His gaze travelled over her, devouring the sight. The soft swell of her stomach, the thatch of dark hair visible at the apex of her thighs. He pressed the heel of his hand against her, through the cotton.
She jerked, a sharp intake of breath. “Aidan…”
“What do you feel?” he asked, applying a slow, firm pressure, moving in a circle.
“I… it’s… a lot.” Her words were fractured. “It’s building. It’s like a knot.”
“Good.” He continued the motion, watching her face contort in pleasure. “That’s the point of focus. Everything else falls away.”
He leaned in, kissing her finally, deeply. Her mouth opened for him, hungry and learning. He could taste the iced tea from earlier, and something uniquely hers. His hand kept working her through the fabric, the cotton growing damp with her arousal.
When he pulled back, her lips were swollen, her eyes glazed. “Now,” he said, hooking his fingers into the waistband of her shorts. “Let’s see what we’re working with.”
He drew them down her legs, slowly, letting the air hit her damp skin. She lifted her hips to help him, then let her legs fall open again, completely exposed to him and the lamplight. She was breathtaking. Swollen, glistening pink folds, utterly innocent and completely wanton.
He traced a single finger along her slit, gathering wetness. “So tight,” he breathed, more to himself than to her. The memory of her in the study, the shocking, yielding tightness, flashed behind his eyes. “You have no idea.”
He guided his finger inside her, just the tip. She was searing hot, a velvet clutch. Her back arched, her hips lifting off the desk to take him deeper.
“Easy,” he soothed, pushing further, feeling her body stretch to accommodate him. She was so small. The reality of his size against her virgin tightness was a visceral, almost brutal turn-on. He added a second finger, stretching her carefully, watching her face for pain. There was only a sharp gasp, then a dazed, overwhelming pleasure.
“You’re taking me so well,” he murmured, scissoring his fingers gently, feeling her inner muscles fluttering around him. “Perfect student.”
“More,” she begged, her hands braced behind her on the desk. “Please, I need…”
“I know what you need.”
He withdrew his fingers, slick and shining. He undid his trousers, freeing himself. The sight of him, fully aroused, made her eyes widen with a fresh wave of awe and apprehension.
He moved closer, the broad, swollen head of his cock nudging against her dripping entrance. He paused, holding himself there, letting her feel the immense pressure, the promise of being filled beyond anything she could imagine.
“This is the lesson,” he said, his control fraying at the edges, his voice gritty. “You have to breathe. You have to let it in. It will feel like too much. It is too much. But your body will learn.”
He pushed forward, an inexorable, slow invasion. Lucia’s mouth fell open in a silent scream, her nails digging into the wood of the desk. He watched her eyelids flutter, felt her inner walls clamp down in a fierce, desperate resistance that slowly, miraculously, began to give way.
He sank deeper, inch by impossible inch, until he was fully seated inside her, buried to the hilt. They were both breathing in ragged, broken sync. She felt impossibly full, stretched to a burning, exquisite limit. A single tear traced from the corner of her eye down her temple.
He stilled, letting her adjust, brushing the tear away with his thumb. “Look at me,” he whispered.
She did. Her eyes were pools of dark, overwhelmed sensation.
“You see?” he said, a faint, strained smile touching his lips. “You’re learning already.” He began to move, a slow, deep retreat followed by a relentless, filling thrust. “And now… we practice.”
