Chapter 5: The Midday Gauntlet
The cold shower was a brief, shocking mercy. Aidan stood under the spray, letting the water sluice away the oil and the lingering warmth of Hazel’s goodbye kiss. His muscles felt liquid, his mind pleasantly blank. He’d just toweled off when a familiar, commanding voice cut through the steam.
“Napping already? The day is a child, Aidan.” Svetlana leaned against the bathroom doorway, a smirk playing on her lips. She wore a microscopic bikini of electric blue, her platinum hair piled high. “Hazel gave you a lullaby. Now it is time for a symphony. Get dressed. Pool deck. Five minutes.”
She disappeared. Aidan pulled on a pair of loose linen shorts. The scent of jasmine from the roof was gone, replaced by the heavy, humid perfume of sunscreen and chlorine as he stepped outside.
The pool area was a study in decadent leisure. Reggae music pulsed from hidden speakers. The turquoise water shimmered under the vertical noon sun. On a vast, cushion-strewn daybed, three women waited. Jazz, all bronzed limbs and cocky smile, sipped something colorful through a straw. Mei, quieter, more observant, traced patterns in the condensation on her water glass. And Svetlana, center stage, applying more oil to her legs with deliberate, theatrical slowness.
A camera operator circled them like a shark.
“Pop quiz,” Svetlana announced, not looking up. “No studying. You just perform. The concept is… continuity. You will service each of us. In order. You do not finish until I say you have finished. Clear?”
Aidan slid onto the daybed. The cushions were hot from the sun. “A buffet. Nice.”
Jazz laughed, a bright, brash sound. “Think you can handle the menu, sweetie? You looked pretty done after Hazel’s mindfulness retreat.”
“He is resilient,” Svetlana said, finally meeting his eyes. Her blue gaze was a challenge. “We start with Jazz. She is loud. It will wake up your nervous system.”
Jazz needed no further invitation. She was on him before he could adjust, her mouth hungry on his, tasting of pineapple and rum. Her hands were everywhere, pushing his shorts down, guiding him back. She straddled him, cowgirl style, sinking down with a victorious sigh that was half groan, half performance for the mic tucked in her top. She moved with a confident, rolling grind, her strong core doing most of the work. Her nails dug into his chest.
“That’s it, big guy,” she purred, tossing her curls. “Just lie back and be famous.”
She was intense, a direct counterpoint to Hazel’s artistry. Where Hazel had been a slow burn, Jazz was a flashfire. Aidan matched her rhythm, his hands on her hips, letting her use him. The sun baked his skin. Sweat beaded between them. He could feel the climax building, a tightening in his gut, but he clamped down on it. Not yet.
Svetlana watched like a conductor. After a few minutes, she snapped her fingers. “Switch. Now.”
Jazz rose off him with a wet, protesting sound, leaving him exposed and throbbing in the humid air. “Buzzkill,” she muttered, but she was smiling, sliding off to the edge of the daybed to watch.
Mei approached with a different energy. Serpentine. Quiet. She turned her back to him, presenting herself on all fours, glancing over her shoulder. Her dark hair fell across her face. “From here,” she said simply.
Aidan moved behind her. The position was deeper, more animal. Mei was tight, and she let out a sharp, bitten-off gasp as he entered. She didn’t ride the wave like Jazz; she retreated into sensation, her back bowing, her breaths coming in short, quiet huffs. He gripped her hips, the pace becoming more urgent, a building drumbeat against Jazz’s earlier fanfare. The effort to hold back was becoming a physical strain, a knot in his lower back. He focused on the sheen of sweat on Mei’s spine, the distant thrum of the reggae beat.
Svetlana’s voice was a whip-crack. “Stop.”
He froze, buried deep inside Mei, who shuddered at the sudden immobility. Slowly, painfully, he pulled out. Mei collapsed onto her elbows, breathing hard.
“To me,” Svetlana said. She hadn’t moved from her reclined position. She simply opened her thighs. “You are not finished. You are… over-heated. Cool down. Your final exam is oral. You make me come. Then, perhaps, you can have your release.”
It was a power move, pure Svetlana. Reducing him to a instrument of her pleasure while he was aching and on the edge. Aidan moved between her legs. The scent of her, coconut oil and musk, filled his senses. He could see the cameras zooming in. He didn’t hurry. He used his tongue with a focused patience he didn’t know he still possessed, tracing slow circles, building her up with the same deliberate tension she was exerting over him.
She was quieter than he expected. A sharp inhale. A low curse in Russian. Her hand fisted in his damp hair, not guiding, just holding. Her hips began a subtle, involuntary lift. Her thighs tensed. He felt the moment her control shattered—a series of quick, gasping breaths, a violent tremble through her whole body, a long, ragged moan as she pressed herself hard against his mouth.
As the last ripple faded, she pushed his head away. Her eyes were glazed, triumphant. “Now,” she breathed, her voice hoarse. “Now you finish. In me.”
She pulled him up, wrapping her legs around his waist, taking him inside her in one smooth, demanding motion. The sensation was overwhelming. The tight, wet heat of her, after the edging torment of the last hour, broke whatever dam was left. He came with a force that felt like it emptied his soul, pulsing deep into her. She locked her ankles, holding him captive, milking every last drop, a faint, smug smile on her swollen lips.
For a long minute, the only sounds were their ragged breathing and the splashing of the pool filter.
Finally, she unwound her legs. He rolled onto his back, utterly spent, the world swimming in a haze of heat and exhaustion.
Jazz let out a low whistle. “Damn. Kid’s got a clutch.”
Mei just nodded, offering a small, impressed smile.
Svetlana rose, stretching like a satisfied cat. She didn’t clean herself up. She let the evidence of his finish gleam on her inner thigh as she walked past the camera, giving it a knowing look.
She paused, looking down at Aidan’s wrecked form. She leaned close, her voice for his ear only. “You passed,” she murmured. Then, louder for the mic: “Your recharge time is two hours. Then we discuss the nighttime group scene. The viewers… they are demanding something spectacular.”
She walked away, leaving him melting into the daybed. The sun felt like a physical weight. His body was a map of exertion, a testament to the absurd, exhilarating test. He closed his eyes, the reggae beat syncing with his slowing heartbeat. He had survived the pop quiz. The thought, somehow, made him smile.
