Actress Eva Green is at the peak of her career. After the film festival in Nice France, she gets confronted by a Syrian refugee who wants more than money.

Chapter 1: Introduction

Eva Green was no stranger to attention, but even she couldn't ignore the heat creeping up her spine as she exited the Palais de la Méditerranée in Nice. A wave of flashbulbs washed over her, capturing dazzling green eyes, an elegant frame, and dark hair cascading down her bare shoulders.

It was one of those evenings that reminded Eva of the power of her presence, both on and off the screen. The annual film festival had delivered the expected whirlwind of excitement, networking, and celebration.

She had enjoyed the luxurious treatment that came with being one of the world's most renowned actresses, a sensation she thought she would never grow tired of - until now.

Stepping into the lavish hotel lobby, Eva noticed a man leaning against a far wall, eyes trailing her every move. He was the complete opposite of her, his darker skin tone appearing even more striking against his dirty clothes. Torn jeans, a stained white shirt, and unkempt hair made him fit in perfectly with the desperate souls she had seen crowding outside the venue.

It only took a single glance to discern the desperation in his gaze. Yet, despite his rough appearance, he managed an almost shy smile as she caught him staring.

In her world of glamorous parties and adoring fans, Eva realized she had never truly interacted with someone from the other side. Her curiosity piqued, she allowed the thrill of a genuine human encounter to drive her forward.

Eva approached the man and studied him with a hint of concern. "You seem lost, are you alright?" she asked.

The sympathetic smile she offered was genuine, as if unaware of the invisible bubble separating their two worlds.

"I'm not lost," he replied quietly, his English carefully measured with a lingering Syrian accent. "And I'm not asking for money like the others."

Eva's eyes scanned him up and down, noting the dirt caked into his skin and the mixture of sweat and grime inching into her personal space. "So what do you want then?" she asked, intrigued by the unfamiliar intensity in his eyes.

He glanced around nervously, his gaze flickering between her immaculate frame and the attentive hotel staff. He cleared his throat, his voice barely audible. "I want a room," he said timidly. "But not just any room, my lady. A room for me and... for us."

Eva felt a shiver of unease trickle down her spine. The chill of the air-conditioned lobby seemed to intensify as her mind raced to decipher his cryptic meaning. "What do you mean, 'for us'?" she asked, maintaining her composure.

He clarified, that he just wants a room, because he’s homeless. Eva thinks she can take care of it. She goes to the counter with Mustafa and asks for a room for Mustafa.

The clerk looks puzzled, but Eva insists. "I just need to ensure my friend here has a safe place to stay for the night," she said, "Being a fellow artist, I can't bear the thought of him alone out there on the streets."

The clerk nodded, reluctance flickering behind his eyes as he processed the request. Moments later, he looks up and says there’s no vacancy.

The clerk says that Eva’s suite can accommodate a guest. The clerk loved putting Eva on the spot like she did to him. Eva dreaded the fact that Mustafa knows she has an extra bed, but also knows that her boyfriend Laurent would never allow Mustafa to stay there.

She turns to Mustafa, speaking firmly. "I'm sorry, there's no other room available," she says. "Maybe try another hotel?"

However, Mustafa seems less than deterred. A hungry look flashes across his eyes, and Eva can't help but feel a sense of wariness. "There are plenty of hotels," he mutters under his breath, clearly disappointed. "But there's nowhere that treats a man like you do, my lady."

Eva can't ignore the implication.

She still wants to help him in some way, but her intuition screams at her to be cautious. "Is there something specific you need?" she asks, working to defuse the tension flooding the room.

Mustafa, seemingly oblivious to her discomfort, insists that she should let him stay there. He promises not to bother her, but knows he just wants to get her alone.

A slight frown tugs at Eva's lips, but she pushes aside her suspicions. This mustafa intrigues her, and she's eager to help him, to understand why he clings on to her so strongly.

"Look," Eva said, mustering up a gentle smile, I’ll let you stay, but I can’t guarantee my boyfriend will let you.

I'm only doing this because I don't want you alone on the streets."

Mustafa nodded furiously, his hungry gaze finally abating as he met her eyes. "Worry not, my lady. My gratitude for your kindness is boundless; I meant no disrespect."

Eva's eyes softened at the words mustafa said, a hint of relief and appreciation washing over her. She couldn't quite understand the depth of his desperation, but couldn't overlook her own empathetic nature.

She pointed toward a door located nearby.

"I have a guest room here, and you can stay for the night," she said slowly, trying to exude reassurance.

A tense moment followed as Mustafa digested her offer. His eyes welled-up with gratitude, and he reached for her hand. "Thank you, my lady. I will never forget this kindness."

Eva allowed him to hold her hand for a brief second, but quickly pulled away. A nervous tickle tickled the edge of her belly, but she brushed it aside determined to play her role as the Good Samaritan to the fullest.

With a warm smile and unwavering resolve, she ushered Mustafa toward the guest room, ignoring the disapproving glances from nearby staff.

Entering the spacious suite, Eva couldn't help but feel a twinge of guilt for the secrets she was about to conceal. Laurent, a successful director and her loving partner of several years, had no knowledge of the man suddenly sharing their intimate space. As she closed the door behind them, she briefly wondered whether discretion would've been the wiser choice, yet the decision was already made.

Mustafa's eyes skimmed the luxurious surroundings, lingering on details that struck him as most decadent - a gilded mirror, plush couches, and an ornate chandelier that dripped with crystals.

His gaze eventually landed on a portrait of Eva, a professional headshot hung prominently on the wall.

A small smile curved on his lips, appreciation and admiration glimmering within the depths of his dark eyes.

"You live in a palace, my lady," he murmured, his voice filled with awe.

Eva returned his smile, though her eyes remained guarded. "It's just a hotel suite," she replied softly, stepping away from the door. "Make yourself comfortable. The bathroom is through that door, and there are fresh towels in the cupboard."

Mustafa watched her move with a predatory intensity, his gaze following the sway of her hips as she gestured to the various amenities. Eva felt an inexplicable prickle down her spine, a sensation that was both unsettling and intriguing.
