Actress Eva Green is at the peak of her career. After the film festival in Nice France, she gets confronted by a Syrian refugee who wants more than money.

Chapter 2: Building Tension

The grandeur of Eva's hotel suite struck Mustafa with an overwhelming sense of awe as he cautiously stepped inside. Lavish furnishings and opulent decorations graced the room, while pristine marble gleamed under the soft golden lighting. The floor-to-ceiling windows unveiled the vast Mediterranean Sea below, its twinkling reflection echoing the myriad of stars above.

Laurent greets Eva with a French kiss on the cheek. He then looks at Mustafa and almost passes out. He asks why the fuck is that guys here.

Laurent, confused and angry, turns to Eva, demanding an explanation.

Eva hesitates for a beat, search for a convincing lie on her lips. "A friend from another festival," she says, solving his anger. "It's fine,he's gonna sleep in that spare room."

Laurent frowns, but he didn't make a fuss. He knew that it's best not to anger Eva.

She walks to Mustafa and says "This is my husband Laurent.

I was hoping you could keep a low profile." Laurent extends a hand tentatively, but Mustafa simply nods, unable to bring himself to touch the man who threatened his plans of seduction.

Eva could sense the tension mounting between the men. She glanced at Laurent and saw his confusion warring with anger. If only she could calm his suspicion and make him leave without causing a scene. "Laurent, darling, I invited Mustafa for drinks because I felt bad for him," she said, forcing a smile.

"He just needs a warm meal and a comfortable bed for the night."

Mustafa stared silently at the handsome Frenchman, unsure what to make of the situation. He could feel Laurent's distrust, burning like daggers in his gaze. It was all Mustafa could do to contain his disappointment; he had hoped for a more receptive audience.

Laurent hesitated, watching Mustafa for any signs of danger before agreeing.

"As you wish, Eva," he said through gritted teeth. He gave a curt nod to Mustafa and went to the bathroom to get away from the body odor smell

.

Eva knew she had a few minutes before Laurent emerged from the bathroom to brood. She guided Mustafa to the kitchenette and opened the fridge, taking out the fixings for a quick meal. Within minutes, she had managed to warm up some pasta and prepare a small plate for her unwanted guest.

"Here you go," she said quietly, handing Mustafa the dish and a fork. He took it hungrily and began devouring the meal.

Eva couldn't help but notice how thin and malnourished he appeared to be. Her heart ached for this man who had no permanent home, who had lost everything, and who clung to her the only way he knew how.

"You're welcome to anything else in here," she told him, pointing to an assortment of fruits and cheeses in the fridge.

He shook his head, his eyes full of gratitude. "This is more than enough, my lady.

Thank you for your generosity." A warm smile spread across him, as if he could barely believe his luck.

Eva waved off his gratitude, feeling foolish for having ever thought he posed a threat. "You're welcome to relax here for a bit," she reassured him, stepping away to give him some space to eat in peace.

The tension that had earlier swirled around them dissipated into thin air, replaced by the calming hum of the hotel's ventilation system.

Eva leaned against the counter, casually watching Mustafa devour his meal. In the past few minutes, her initial unease and suspicion had faded, leaving behind a strange feeling of kinship she couldn't quite place.

A heavy silence settled on the room as Mustafa finished his meal. His eyes searched Eva's, silently expressing the depth of his gratitude. Without a word, he rose from his seat and reached for Eva's hand. His touch was gentle yet firm, silently pleading for a connection neither could afford to acknowledge.

She hesitated, unsure whether to reciprocate his gesture. But as a soft sigh escaped her lips, she met his gaze and realized they were more alike than she ever thought possible. Both had endured struggles, albeit different in nature, and sought solace in something far greater than themselves.

He took her pause as an affirmation, and with a tender squeeze, lifted her fingers to his lips. A chaste kiss sealed the bond they'd forged in those precious moments, before withdrawing with the same reverence.

Eva freaked out. That was inappropriate. Was Mustafa getting the wrong message?

Eva tried to pull away, buthe held her tight, whispering, "Please, my lady. Just one night with you, can you grant me that?" Hisoak chest pressed against hers, his lips brushing against her ear. Eva's heart pounded in her chest as he pulled her close, already knowing what he wanted from her.

Eva pushed him away, and screamed. Laurent came rushing out of the bathroom. "What the fuck is going on here?" he demanded.

His accusatory glare landed on Mustafa, hands still gripping Eva's shoulders. She could feel the trembling in his touch, as if he was struggling to contain his growing rage.

Eva put a hand up to keep Laurent at bay. "I invited Mustafa to stay for the night, alright?" Her voice was steady, but there was a note of finality cut through the tension.
