Chapter 1: Introduction

The sleek, black limo pulled up to the grand entrance of the prestigious Le Grand Hotel, its tires crunching softly on the gravel driveway. Alex, a man with short, dark hair and a charm that could make even the sternest people smile, leaned back against the plush leather seat and looked up at the sprawling, opulent building. The hotel was a beacon of luxury in the heart of Paris, a city that never failed to enchant him with its beauty and allure.

"Are you sure about this, darling?" Morgan asked, adjusting her designer sunglasses as she peered out the window.

Her long, wavy brown hair cascaded over her shoulders, catching the golden sunlight that filtered through the leaves of the majestic trees lining the driveway. She was a vision of elegance and beauty, with captivating green eyes that sparkled with a hint of mischief.

Alex leaned over and brushed a soft kiss on her lips. "Trust me, love. I've heard they have the most divine spa treatments here. You can pamper yourself all weekend while I take care of some business."

Morgan rolled her eyes playfully, but her smile betrayed her genuine enthusiasm.

"You had me at 'pamper.' I could use a good massage after the week I've had."

As they stepped out of the limo, a valet attendant, dressed in a crisp black uniform, swiftly opened the door for them. Alex tipped him generously, his eyes already scanning the grand entrance. The marble columns soared to the heavens, and the crystal chandeliers glittered like diamonds scattered across the sky. The lobby was a symphony of polished mahogany and plush velvet, exuding an air of timeless elegance.

The receptionist, a tall, slim woman with a warm smile, greeted them as they approached the desk.

"Welcome to Le Grand Hotel, Mr. and Mrs. Hartley," she said, her eyes skimming over the reservation details on her screen. "We're delighted to have you with us."

"I'm sure we will be too," Alex replied with a wink, his charm effortlessly on display. "Especially since we'll be spending most of our time in the presidential suite, right, love?"

Morgan chuckled, her eyes twinkling with amusement. "Oh, absolutely.

The suite is supposed to be divine," Morgan agreed, her voice laced with a playful undertone as she looked at Alex.

The receptionist handed them their key cards with a smile and directed them to the elevators. As they stepped inside and the doors slid shut, Alex wrapped his arm around Morgan's waist and pulled her close.

"You know what I'm looking forward to the most?" he whispered, his lips brushing against her ear.

Morgan tilted her head slightly, a soft blush spreading across her cheeks. "What's that?"

"Our little secret," Alex replied, his voice a low rumble that sent shivers down her spine.

"Remember, we're supposed to be here just for relaxation."

Morgan's eyes widened in feigned innocence. "What secret, darling? I'm just here for the spa treatments and room service."

Alex chuckled and pressed a soft kiss on her forehead. "You're incorrigible, Morgan Hartley."

As the elevator doors opened, they stepped into the opulent hallway adorned with ornate mirrors and plush carpeting. The presidential suite was at the end of the corridor, its grand wooden door inviting them in.

Alex slid the key card into the lock, and the door swung open to reveal a lavishly appointed space adorned with velvet drapes, a king-sized bed, and ornate furniture. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered a panoramic view of the Paris skyline, bathed in the warm glow of the setting sun.

Morgan let out a gasp of delight as she stepped inside. "Alex, this is incredible. Look at the view!"

Alex walked over to the windows and placed his hands on the glass, admiring the cityscape. "Yes, it is quite something, isn't it?

But you know what else is incredible?" Alex asked, turning around to face Morgan, his eyes filled with a gleam that was both playful and sensual. Morgan replied, her curiosity piqued as she admired the opulent surroundings.

"The fact that we have an entire weekend to ourselves in this beautiful suite," Alex said, taking a step closer to her.

Morgan's eyes sparkled with a mix of amusement and desire. "You're insatiable, Alex. We just got here, and you're already thinking about... other things."

Alex grinned, his gaze never leaving Morgan's. "What can I say?

You bring out the best in me, Morgan." Alex replied, his voice a low purr that sent a shiver down Morgan's spine.

She crossed the room, her hips swaying gently with each step, her eyes locked onto Alex's. "Is that so? Well, maybe I should bring out some other sides of you this weekend."

Alex raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Oh, really? And what sides are those?"

Morgan stopped just inches away from Alex, her breath warm against his cheek. "The sides that make you forget about business and focus only on pleasure," she whispered, her fingers tracing the line of his jaw.

Alex's breath hitched slightly, his eyes darkening with desire. "Is that a challenge, Ms. Hartley?"

Morgan leaned in, her lips barely brushing against his. "Maybe it is, Mr. Hartley."

Alex captured her mouth in a deep, passionate kiss, his hands gripping her waist tightly. Morgan responded with equal fervor, her fingers tangling in his short, dark hair. The world around them faded away as they lost themselves in the moment, the taste and feel of each other consuming their senses.

Just as things were about to escalate further, a loud, abrupt knock on the door shattered their passionate interlude.

Alex groaned in frustration, his forehead resting briefly against Morgan's. "Fuck," he muttered under his breath.

Morgan chuckled softly, running her hands through his hair. "I guess we'll have to save that for later."

Alex pulled back slightly, his eyes still glazed with desire. "We damn well will," he promised.

He strode over to the door, adjusting himself discreetly before calling out, "Just a moment." He retrieved the room service menu from the end table and spun it around to reveal the peephole. A disfigured face stared back at him—it was Gaston, the dwarf waiter they had encountered earlier.

His eyes were narrowed in anger, and his lips curled into a snarl. Alex felt a pang of unease but quickly shook it off, knowing he couldn't show fear. He opened the door, maintaining a polite demeanor.

"Yes? Can I help you?" Alex asked, his tone even and calm.

Gaston's face contorted with rage as he pushed past Alex and into the room, a cart loaded with silver-domed dishes following him.

"You can help by not making fun of me, you fucking asshole," Gaston spat, his voice laced with venom.

Alex's eyes widened in surprise, but he quickly regained his composure. "Excuse me? I'm not sure what you mean."

Gaston snarled, his eyes darting between Alex and Morgan, who had stepped back, a look of disbelief on her face. "I heard what you said earlier. Both of you. Laughing at me. Calling me ugly. Well, I may be ugly on the outside, but you two are fucking horrible on the inside."

Morgan's eyes flashed with anger. "Gaston, we're sorry if we offended you.

That wasn't our intention," Alex replied, his voice even and measured, despite the irrational outburst.

Morgan stepped forward, her eyes flashing with anger. "We were joking, Gaston. It was in poor taste, and we apologize, but there's no need to be so aggressive."

Gaston scoffed, his lips curling in a sneer. "You think I give a fuck about your apologies? You think you can just walk all over people and then pretend to be sorry? Fuck that."

Alex's voice hardened. "We're guests here, Gaston.

You can't just barge in and threaten us," Alex said firmly, his hand resting on Morgan's shoulder protectively.
