Chapter 5: The first taste
The sharp snap of the latex glove echoed in the sudden stillness of the parking lot. Ella stared, mesmerized, at Ben’s gloved hand hovering near her face. His eyes, dark pools in the clinic’s backwash light, held hers with unnerving intensity. The cool evening air did nothing to quell the furnace roaring inside her. Her throat tightened, dry and raw. "Okay," she whispered, the word scraping out. "Yes."
Ben’s gaze sharpened. "Confirm it," he demanded, his voice low, rough-edged. "No ambiguity."
"I accept," Ella choked out, her knuckles bone-white against the cool metal of her car door. "God help me."
A muscle flexed in Ben’s jaw. "Good." He moved decisively, the clinical detachment momentarily stripping away. His gloved thumb brushed the corner of her mouth, startlingly cool. "Open." The command brooked no hesitation.
Ella parted trembling lips. Ben traced her lower lip slowly with the latex pad. "Relax the jaw," he instructed, his other hand sliding firmly to cradle the base of her skull. She flinched at the contact. "I need access. And you need to know this." His thumb pressed gently against her tongue. The chemical taste bloomed. "I'm significantly above average." His eyes held hers, unflinching. "Statistically speaking."
Her startled inhale hitched. Her gaze flickered helplessly down his body where the truth strained against the thin blue cotton.
"This," Ben continued, the thumb applying slight downward pressure, "isn't about... eroticism. Not now." His voice was clipped, practical. "It's anatomy. Physiology." He pushed deeper until the pad met the resistance at the back of her throat. Ella gagged violently, a raw, involuntary sound tearing from her as her body jerked back. Ben held her head steady, his grip firm but not cruel. "That's your reflex," he stated flatly, withdrawing the thumb just enough to let her gasp. Saliva slicked her chin. "We'll navigate it. Understand this: If you can accommodate me..." He paused, letting the implication hang thick in the cooling air. "...James will be effortless."
He withdrew his hand completely. The latex snapped sharply as he peeled it off. His bare fingers, warm now, tilted her chin up, forcing her watery eyes to meet his. No pity there. Only intense, focused assessment. "Ready?"
Ella nodded, a jerky, terrified movement. Her heart hammered against her ribs like a trapped bird. The ring on her finger felt like a brand. James. The thought was a lance of guilt, instantly drowned by the sheer, overwhelming proximity of Ben, the scent of antiseptic and warm male skin filling her nostrils, the terrifying promise of what came next.
Ben stepped back half a pace, creating a sliver of space. His gaze remained locked on hers. "Then proceed." His voice was low, expectant. "Undo the drawstring."
Her hands shook violently as she lifted them. The simple cotton tie of his scrub pants felt alien, impossibly complex. Her fingers fumbled, slick with nervous sweat. She couldn't look down. Couldn't look away from his face, the sharp angles rendered stark by the clinic's light. The knot resisted. Panic flared. She tugged harder, a desperate, graceless yank.
The knot gave. The waistband loosened. Ella froze. Her gaze, against her will, dropped.
The blue cotton fell away slightly, revealing the waistband of dark boxer briefs beneath. And the unmistakable, heavy outline pressing against the fabric. Larger, much larger, than anything she’d ever imagined, even after his warning. It looked… unreal. Impossible. A thick, straining column confined by the dark material.
A small, choked sound escaped Ella. Her hands, still gripping the loosened drawstring, trembled uncontrollably. She stared, transfixed by the sheer physical reality of it. The heat radiating from him seemed to intensify, a palpable force against her skin. Her mouth went completely dry. The clinical detachment he’d projected moments before evaporated under the weight of this visceral revelation.
"Is it…" Her voice was a thin rasp, barely audible over the distant city hum. She swallowed, forcing the words out. "Is it… normal?" She finally dragged her gaze back up to his face, her eyes wide with shock and a dawning, horrified understanding.
Ben’s expression didn’t change. Cool. Assessing. But a flicker of something – dark satisfaction? – passed through his eyes. He didn’t smile. "Statistically?" His voice was calm, almost conversational, belying the tension thrumming in the air between them. "No." He paused, letting the word land. "But normal is irrelevant. This," he gestured minimally downwards with his chin, "is the reality you need to manage. For James." He tilted his head, studying her pale, stricken face. "The mechanics remain the same. Just… scaled."
He reached down, not with the gloved hand, but with his bare fingers. He hooked them into the waistband of his boxer briefs. Ella flinched, her breath catching. "Do you want to see?" he asked, his tone devoid of inflection, yet laden with challenge. "Fully? To understand the… topography?"
The question hung, brutal and direct. Ella felt pinned. The cool metal of the car pressed against her back. The scent of him – antiseptic, clean cotton, warm skin – filled her senses. The image of James flickered, distant and blurred. The terrifying, fascinating reality before her was immediate, overwhelming. Her gaze dropped again to where his fingers rested against the dark fabric. The outline was stark, undeniable. Huge.
Her own hands, still clutching the loose drawstring of his scrubs, felt numb. Slowly, almost against her will, her fingers tightened. Not pulling, yet. Just… holding. Anchoring herself to the precipice. Her throat worked. She couldn’t speak. Couldn’t look away from the straining fabric beneath his fingers. The silence stretched, thick with anticipation, charged with the terrifying promise of the answer she hadn't yet given. Her knuckles whitened on the cotton string.
Her knuckles whitened on the cotton string. Ben remained perfectly still, watching her, that unnerving green gaze dissecting every flicker of panic and fascination across her face. The silence stretched, a taut wire humming with the distant groan of city traffic and her own ragged breathing.
"It’s... immense," Ella finally breathed, the words barely audible. Her eyes were glued to the straining dark fabric beneath his fingers. A tremor ran through her hands. "James isn't... He’s nothing like...that." The comparison felt traitorous, spoken aloud.
"Anatomy varies," Ben replied, his voice flat, clinical, yet his eyes seemed to burn hotter. "Focus on the principle, Ella. Not the scale." He shifted his weight almost imperceptibly, the movement making the confined shape beneath the briefs seem even more pronounced, impossibly thick. "Do you understand the mechanics? The angles?"
She shook her head mutely. Her throat was parched. The cool night air felt thick, heavy, pressing down. The image of James blurred again, replaced by sheer, overwhelming size. Practice. It was only practice. For James. Her fiancé. The thought was a wisp of smoke.
The scent of antiseptic clung to Ben, mixed strangely with the warmth radiating from his body, a clean, masculine heat that filled her nostrils. Her gaze traced the heavy outline again, a forbidden map. A pulse throbbed low in her own belly, hot and insistent. Practice, she screamed silently at herself. But the heat spreading through her felt deeper, wilder, than anything James had ever sparked with a kiss.
"Seeing helps," Ben stated, not a question. His fingers tightened slightly on the waistband of his briefs. "Visualizing is part of preparation." He held her gaze, a silent challenge hanging between them. "Remove the barrier."
The command sliced through her panic. Her hands, still numb, trembled violently as they released the cotton string. They hovered, shaking, near his hips. The rough texture of his scrub pants scratched her fingertips. She couldn't breathe. The streetlight overhead cast stark shadows, highlighting the fierce jut of his hips beneath the fabric. For James, she chanted inwardly. Only for James.
Her fingers brushed the elastic band of his dark boxer briefs. Fire shot up her arm. She inhaled sharply, the smell of him – clean cotton, antiseptic, something intrinsically male – flooding her senses. Her thumb hooked under the elastic. She hesitated, trembling. The ring on her finger felt cold, heavy. Alien.
"Ella." His voice was low, a rumble that vibrated in her own chest. "Commit."
She jerked the elastic down.
It sprang free. Her breath hitched, a ragged gasp tearing from her throat.
Exposed. Fully.
He wasn't just large. He was monumental. Thick, heavy, rigidly erect, the veins stark against flushed skin beneath the harsh light. It stood impossibly proud, a terrifying testament to male potency. Nothing in her limited understanding had prepared her for this visceral reality. Her mouth flooded with saliva. Her knees felt weak.
"Oh god," she whispered, staring, horrified, mesmerized. The sheer physicality of him dwarfed every hesitant fantasy she'd ever entertained about her wedding night. James faded completely, a distant, pale ghost.
A low throb echoed the frantic beating of her own heart. It wasn't fear alone tightening her insides now. It was heat. A desperate, clawing need. The clinical justification evaporated like mist. This wasn't practice for James. This was raw, illicit hunger, ignited by Ben's intensity, by his sheer, overwhelming presence, by this. She wanted to touch it. Taste it. Feel its impossible weight fill her mouth, chase away the clinical antiseptic taste still lingering.
The thought was shocking, sinful. Guilt warred savagely with a rising tide of pure, undeniable arousal. Her gaze locked onto the flushed head, the slick bead glistening at its tip in the fluorescent glare. Her breath came in shallow pants. Her tongue darted out, wetting her dry lips unconsciously.
She felt dizzy. The world narrowed to Ben’s heated skin, the stark shadows, the thick, straining flesh before her. The justification was a flimsy shield now, cracking under the assault of her own fierce desire. This was wrong. Profoundly wrong. But the pulsing heat between her own legs screamed louder than any promise ring.
Without conscious thought, driven by a desperate, feral impulse she couldn't name, Ella lurched forward. Her knees hit the cool asphalt. Her trembling hands reached out, hovering inches from that impossible heat. Her mouth opened, a soft whimper escaping. Her head tilted upwards, eyes wide and terrified and utterly transfixed. The primal urge surged, undeniable.
She leaned forward, breath ragged, her lips parting wider. The scent of him intensified, overwhelming. She was going to taste it. Now. For me, a treacherous voice whispered inside her skull, drowning out everything else. Her eyes fluttered shut. Just an inch away.
Her lips brushed the heated skin. A jolt shot through her, electric and terrifying. The reality was overwhelming: silken heat, the faint salt tang cutting through the antiseptic memory, the sheer, impossible thickness beneath her tentative touch. She froze, trembling, her breath hitching against him.
"Initial contact," Ben stated, his voice low but unnervingly steady above her. His hands didn't touch her yet. "Note the temperature. The texture." His gaze felt heavy, dissecting her every flinch. "Proceed."
Her tongue darted out, a nervous, involuntary flick against the underside. The taste bloomed – musky, intimate, utterly alien. Her stomach clenched. She pulled back slightly, gasping, her eyes wide with shock and burgeoning panic. "It's... warm. Strong."
"Focus on the mechanics," Ben instructed, his tone clipped, clinical. He shifted his stance minutely, the movement making the thick shaft bob slightly before her face. "Open wider. Wider than you think necessary." His hand finally descended, warm and firm, cradling the base of her skull again. "Relax your jaw. Now."
She obeyed, forcing her mouth open until her jaw ached. The sheer size looming before her seemed impossible to accommodate. Ben guided her head forward with deliberate pressure. Her lips stretched painfully around the broad head. She felt the slick bead of moisture smear against her upper lip. Then, the blunt pressure against her tongue. Heavy. Intensely present.
He pushed further. The thick crown pressed insistently towards the back of her throat. Panic flared white-hot. Her body instinctively recoiled, shoulders jerking back, a choked gag ripping from her throat. Tears sprang instantly to her eyes. Saliva pooled, threatening to spill.
"Reflex," Ben stated, his grip tightening, preventing her retreat. He held her there, impaled just past her comfort, her throat spasming violently around the intrusion. "Breathe through your nose. Slowly." His voice was calm, detached, yet his fingers pressed firmly into her scalp. "Control the panic. Suppress the gag."
She sucked in a frantic, whistling breath through her nostrils, tears streaming freely now. The pressure was immense, suffocating. Her throat muscles clenched and released in agonizing spasms. The taste, the heat, the sheer presence filling her mouth was overwhelming. She felt pinned, helpless beneath his guidance and his anatomy.
"Good," he murmured, a flicker of something – approval? – in his intense gaze. He eased the pressure slightly, letting her adjust to the partial depth. "Feel the stretch? That’s the limit point for now." His thumb brushed a tear track on her cheek, the gesture jarringly intimate against the clinical instruction. "Maintain position. Acclimatize."
She tried. She focused on the ragged breaths whistling in her nose, the hot, solid weight resting heavily on her tongue, the faint throb she could feel against her palate. Her hands, still hovering uselessly at her sides, clenched into fists. The ring dug into her finger. James. The name surfaced like a drowning gasp. This is for James. To be better for him. But the image of her fiancé’s gentle face dissolved instantly against the visceral reality of Ben’s heat and hardness filling her senses.
Ben watched her struggle, his expression unreadable. "Now," he commanded, his voice dropping lower, rougher. "Engage your tongue. Apply pressure upwards. Along the underside." His hand adjusted her head angle minutely. "Like this."
She tentatively moved her tongue, pressing against the thick vein running along the bottom. A low groan rumbled from Ben’s chest, vibrating through the flesh in her mouth. The sound shocked her, primal and raw. It wasn't clinical. It was pure reaction. Her own body responded instantly, a sharp, answering throb of heat deep in her belly, startlingly intense. Her tongue pressed harder, experimentally.
"Consistent rhythm," Ben instructed, his breath hitching slightly. His fingers tightened almost imperceptibly in her hair. "Focus. Don't stop." His other hand moved, not touching her, but hovering near his own hip, fingers flexing. "Ignore the reflex. Push past it."
He applied pressure again, guiding her head further down. The thick shaft slid deeper, stretching her lips wider, filling her mouth completely. The head nudged insistently against the constricted entrance to her throat. Panic surged anew. She gagged violently, saliva dripping freely down her chin now, mingling with tears. Her eyes squeezed shut against the burning sensation.
"Breathe," Ben growled, holding her firmly in place despite her body's desperate convulsions. "Hold it. Just hold it there." His voice held a new edge, a strain beneath the control. "Feel it? That resistance? That’s where you need to yield."
She whimpered around him, a muffled, desperate sound. The world narrowed to the suffocating pressure, the heat, the taste, the sound of her own ragged breaths and his low, strained ones above her. The ring felt like a shackle. Yield. The word echoed. Not for James. Not anymore. For the sheer, terrifying, overwhelming need coiling tighter and tighter inside her, fed by his groan, by his grip, by the impossible fullness in her mouth. Her throat muscles spasmed, then, miraculously, seemed to loosen fractionally. The pressure eased minutely. The head slipped just past the tight ring.
A shocked gasp escaped her nose. Ben froze above her. His hand in her hair tightened almost painfully. "Yes," he hissed, the word thick with something fierce and dark. "Exactly there." He held her utterly still, suspended on that impossible threshold. "Now," he breathed, the command vibrating through her skull. "Swallow."
The command vibrated through her skull, a physical pressure as real as the thick intrusion stretching her throat. "Swallow." Ben’s voice was gravel, stripped of its earlier clinical detachment. Ella choked, her throat muscles convulsing around him involuntarily. Saliva flooded her mouth, slick and desperate, mingling with the intimate taste of him. She swallowed hard, the movement dragging his rigid flesh impossibly deeper, past that initial, terrifying yielding. Tears blurred the clinic’s harsh light as her body fought the invasion, a raw gag tearing from her clamped lips.
He held her there. Trapped. The thick shaft filled her mouth completely now, the heavy weight resting hot and solid on her tongue, the flared head lodged firmly in her spasming throat. "Breathe," he rasped, his own breath ragged above her. "Through your nose." His fingers were iron bands in her hair, anchoring her. "Good. Now… again." He eased back minutely, just enough to let her gasp a whistling breath, then pushed forward once more. The friction was brutal, igniting a low groan from deep in his chest. The sound, primal and uncontrolled, sent a jolting shockwave through her own core.
Her hands, forgotten at her sides, clenched into painful fists. The gold band on her left hand dug into her flesh. James. The name was a silent scream in her mind, a plea for sanity. But the reality was Ben’s heat, his scent – antiseptic overlaid with sweat and salt – the overwhelming fullness, the relentless pressure of his grip. She swallowed again, a reflexive convulsion to clear the flood of saliva, and it pulled him deeper still. A ragged sob escaped her nose. She wasn’t practicing for James anymore. This was something else. Dark. Consuming. The mechanical instruction had dissolved, replaced by a terrifying intimacy.
Ben angled her head slightly, his thumb brushing her tear-stained cheekbone. "Tongue," he demanded, his voice thick. "Move it." She obeyed, a clumsy, trembling sweep along the pulsing vein beneath. His sharp intake of breath was immediate. "Yes." He pushed her head down firmly. "Harder. Like you mean it." The strain in his voice wasn't clinical observation. It was raw need. Her own body answered, a hot, liquid pulse of sensation startling her between her legs, sharp and undeniable. Shame warred violently with the instinctive clench of arousal.
The rhythm became a brutal cadence. Push down. Swallow. Choke. Breathe. Move her tongue against the thick, straining underside. His low groans were constant now, fueling the frantic energy building inside her, pushing back the panic with waves of forbidden heat. Her jaw screamed. Her throat burned. Tears and saliva slicked her chin. The world contracted to the slick friction, the vibrating heat in her mouth, the iron grip in her hair, the way his hips began a subtle, involuntary thrust against the resistance of her throat. Each shallow movement sent a fresh jolt through her system.
"Faster," he gritted out, his control fraying visibly. His other hand dropped, fingers digging into her shoulder for leverage, his knuckles white. "Don't stop." Ella obeyed, her movements becoming frantic, driven by a confusing cocktail of terror, obedience, and that insistent, treacherous heat coiling tighter within herself. She could feel the tension coiling in him, a gathering storm beneath her lips. His breathing hitched, turned ragged gasps. The grip on her hair tightened painfully, holding her utterly still as he thrust shallowly, urgently. His groan deepened, turning guttural. A tremor shook his thighs. "That's it… Christ…" he choked out.
Then it happened. A hot, sudden pulse deep in her throat. Startling. Thick. Followed by another, stronger surge. The taste bloomed, metallic and primal, utterly different. Her eyes flew open wide. Panic flared anew, but he held her fast, forcing her to accept the hot rush flooding her mouth, the rhythmic spurts against her spasming throat. She gagged violently, trying to pull back, but his grip was implacable. "Take it," he commanded, his voice ragged with release. "Swallow it down."
She had no choice. The bitter-salt flood overwhelmed her senses. She swallowed convulsively, desperate to clear it, choking, gagging, tears streaming freely. He shuddered above her, then slowly, finally, stilled. The iron clamp on her hair and shoulder loosened fractionally. He pulled back slowly, the thick shaft sliding slick and heavy from her bruised lips. Ella collapsed forward, gasping for air, her forehead pressing against the cool metal of the car door. Her mouth felt raw, violated, filled with the lingering, alien taste. Saliva and tears dripped onto the asphalt. She trembled violently, the cool night air a shock against her flushed skin. The silence stretched, broken only by her ragged sobs and Ben’s heavy, slowing breaths above her. His shadow fell over her, vast and suffocating. She couldn’t look up. Couldn’t move. The ring on her finger felt like a lead weight, anchoring her to a terrifying reality she could no longer escape. Her knees ached against the cold ground. Her throat burned. Her mind reeled. What had she done? What had he made her do? The clinical facade was obliterated. Only the raw, undeniable aftermath remained, thick on her tongue and heavy in the charged air between them. She waited, frozen, for his next command, the taste of him a brand she feared would never fade.
