Chapter 5: Climax

The soft glow of the setting sun cast long, dancing shadows across the hardwood floors of Sasha and Emily's elegant, modern home. The air was filled with the tantalizing aroma of garlic and herbs, a testament to the meal Sasha had been preparing for hours. She had insisted on cooking dinner for Zane, wanting to create a sanctuary for them in the midst of their secret relationship.

Zane lounged on the plush velvet sofa in the living room, his long dreadlocks cascading down his shoulders.

He was wearing a simple white t-shirt and dark jeans, the sleeves of his shirt rolled up to reveal tattoos on his muscular forearms. His gaze wandered around the room, taking in the high ceilings, the abstract art on the walls, and the expensive furnishings. He was struck by the stark contrast between the elegant, almost sterile decor and the raw, intense passion they had just shared.

Sasha emerged from the kitchen, carrying a large wooden cutting board laden with an assortment of cheeses, meats, and crackers.

Her hair was pulled back into a messy bun, with a few loose strands framing her face, and she was wearing an apron over a simple blue sundress that emphasized her curves.

Zane's eyes swept over her, taking in her disheveled appearance and the faint flush of her skin. He could still see the remnants of their lovemaking on her, could still taste her on his lips. He felt a renewed stirring of desire, but he tamped it down, not wanting to scare her off with his insatiable appetite.

Instead, he smiled, his eyes warm and appreciative. "You look beautiful, Sasha," he said, his voice soft and genuine.

Sasha blushed at the compliment, her eyes flicking away from his gaze for a brief moment before meeting his again. "Thank you," she murmured, setting the cutting board down on the glass coffee table in front of him. "I hope you're hungry."

Zane nodded, his eyes scanning the array of food on the board. "Starving. You know how much I love your cooking."

Sasha smiled, a soft, shy smile that made her look even more beautiful. "I'm glad.

I've been experimenting with some new recipes. I hope you like them." Sasha said, her voice filled with anticipation. She poured two glasses of red wine and handed one to Zane. He took a sip, his eyes closing briefly as he savored the rich, full-bodied flavor.

"Mmm, this is delicious. What is it?" he asked, his eyes opening to meet hers.

"It's a Malbec. I thought it would pair well with the meal I prepared." Sasha replied, her voice confident and knowledgeable. She was clearly passionate about wine and food, and Zane found it incredibly sexy.

"Well, you're right.

It's perfect," Zane said, admiration evident in his voice. He reached for a slice of prosciutto, wrapping it around a piece of brie before popping it into his mouth. His eyes rolled back slightly in pleasure. "Mmm, Sasha, you've outdone yourself."

Sasha grinned, obviously pleased with his reaction. "I'm glad you like it," she said, taking a seat next to him on the sofa. She picked up a cracker and spread some fig jam on it before topping it with a slice of manchego. "So, tell me about your day.

I haven't seen you since last week," Zane said, stretching his arm along the back of the sofa, his fingers brushing against Sasha's shoulder.

Sasha took a sip of her wine, her eyes flicking away from Zane's gaze for a moment before returning to him. "It was... busy. I had a meeting with a new client, and then I spent the rest of the day catching up on paperwork," she said, her voice soft and a little distant.

Zane noticed the tension in her shoulders, the way her fingers fidgeted with the edge of her apron.

He could sense that something was bothering her, but he didn't want to push. He knew that Sasha was still navigating the complexities of their secret relationship, and the last thing he wanted was to make her uncomfortable.

"That sounds like a long day," he said softly, giving her shoulder a gentle squeeze. "You should take a break sometimes, you know. Relax a little. Maybe I can help with that."

Sasha looked up at him, her eyes filled with a mix of gratitude and longing. "I wish I could," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "But you know how it is. Things have been...

complicated lately." Sasha trailed off, her gaze dropping to the glass of wine in her hand. Zane's brows furrowed with concern, and he gently turned her chin up to meet his eyes.

"Complicated how?" he asked, his voice soft yet firm. "You can talk to me, Sasha. I'm here for you."

Sasha hesitated, her fingers playing with the hem of her apron. She took a deep breath before continuing, "Emily... she's been... more demanding lately. She's been keeping tabs on me, asking about my whereabouts, asking for receipts from my credit card statements.

I feel like I'm being constantly monitored," Sasha admitted, her voice barely above a whisper.

Zane's expression darkened, his jaw clenching with anger. "That's not okay, Sasha," he said, his voice low and serious. "She has no right to treat you like that. You're not her property, you're a person with your own life and your own needs."

Sasha looked down at her lap, her fingers fidgeting with the hem of her apron. "I know," she whispered. "But I don't know what to do. I don't want to rock the boat too much.

I'm scared of what she might do if she finds out about us."

Zane's expression softened, his hand reaching out to cup Sasha's cheek. "I understand that, Sasha. But this isn't healthy for you, and it's not fair. You deserve to be with someone who respects you, who cherishes you, who makes you happy. I'm here for you, no matter what you decide."

Sasha leaned into his touch, her eyes closing briefly as she savored the warmth and comfort of his hand on her face. When she opened her eyes again, she met his gaze, her voice steady and resolute. "I know.

I just... I don't know how to get out of this, Zane. I feel trapped." Sasha confessed, her voice heavy with despair.

Zane's thumb brushed away a tear that had escaped from the corner of her eye. "You're not trapped, baby. You have options. You just need to find the courage to take them."

Sasha sighed, leaning into his touch. I just... I'm scared, Zane. I'm scared of what she might do if she finds out about us.im scared what she might do to me. What she might do you…I can’t keep putting you in harms way like this.” Sasha said her voice laced with fear and desperation.

Zane's expression darkened with concern. He brush some of Sasha’s hair from her face, tucking it behind her ears. “She won’t hurt you, Sasha. I won’t let her.” He stated firmly. “You’re not alone in this. I’m here for you. We’ll figure this out together.”

Sasha looked up at him, her eyes filled with a mix of fear and hope. “You promise?” she whispered.

Zane nodded, his eyes filled with determination. “I promise, baby.

Nothing is going to hurt you while I’m around.” Zane said, his voice filled with conviction.

Sasha nodded, a small smile tugging at the corners of her mouth. She looked down at her hands, twisting the hem of her apron between her fingers. “I just...” before Sasha could finish her sentence she heard the front door start to open. Emily was home early from her work trip.

“Shit you have to hide.” Sasha said shoving Zane into the nearest closet. She quickly grabbed his wine glass and hid it behind a nearby potted plant. She was in full panic mode, her heart pounding in her chest like a drum. She knew Emily would be in the house any second, and she couldn’t bear the thought of her finding Zane.

She rushed to the kitchen, dumping the remaining wine down the sink, and grabbed a towel to dry her hands. She took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down before Emily walked in.

Just as she turned around, the front door swung open and Emily walked in. Sasha forced a smile onto her face, hoping that her anxiety wasn’t written all over it.

“Hey, you’re home early,” she said, trying to keep her voice steady.

Emily's eyes narrowed as she took in the scene. The unused dinner preparations, the open bottle of wine, and Sasha’s disheveled appearance. She raised an eyebrow, her voice laced with suspicion. “Yes, I am. And I see you’ve been busy.”

Sasha's heart pounded in her chest. She could feel the perspiration beading on her forehead, and her palms were clammy. She had to stay calm, had to act normal. “Yeah, I was just getting dinner ready for us.

I thought we could have a nice night in together,” Sasha said, her voice steady despite the turmoil inside her.

Emily's eyes scanned the room, taking in the half-eaten charcuterie board and the open wine bottle. She crossed her arms, a skeptical look on her face. “You know I don’t like surprises, Sasha. Especially not when it involves you staying up late and cooking for two.”

Sasha's heart sank. She knew that tone all too well. She forced a laugh, trying to play it off as if Emily's comment was no big deal. “Oh, come on, Emily. It’s just dinner.

You’re making too big a deal out of it.” Sasha said, her voice steady and calm, despite the panic rising inside her.

Emily's eyes narrowed, her gaze piercing Sasha like a dagger. “Really, Sasha? Because it seems like you’ve gone to a lot of trouble. And for what? Who were you planning on cooking for besides me? Your imaginary friend?”

Sasha flinched at the harshness in Emily’s voice. She knew she had to tread carefully, had to defuse the situation before it escalated any further. “I wasn’t planning on cooking for anyone besides you, Emily.

You know I wouldn’t do that.” Sasha replied, trying to keep her voice steady and calm despite the fear rising inside her. She knew that Emily was suspicious and Sasha had to be careful not to give anything away.

Emily’s gaze swept over Sasha, her eyes filled with suspicion. “Then why are you so jittery, Sasha? Why are you sweating and fidgeting like a nervous wreck?”

Sasha forced a laugh, trying to play off her nervousness. “I’m just tired, Emily. You know how much work I’ve been putting in lately.

I just needed a little pick-me-up,” Sasha said, trying to keep her voice light and airy.

Emily's gaze remained locked onto Sasha, her eyes narrowing further as she took in every little detail. Sasha could see the gears turning in her mind, could see the suspicion building like a storm cloud.

“You’re not getting high again, are you?” Emily asked, her voice flat and accusing.

Sasha felt her heart leap into her throat. She had to be careful, had to keep things under control. “What? No, Emily. I’m not doing anything like that. I told you, I’m just tired.

I promise, I’m not doing anything like that.” Sasha said with a faint smile, trying to keep her voice steady. She couldn't let Emily suspect anything, couldn't give anything away.

Emily's eyes narrowed further, her gaze sweeping over Sasha, taking in every little detail.

“You know what, Sasha? I think you’re lying to me. I think there’s something you’re not telling me.” Emily said, her voice flat and accusing.

Meanwhile Zane stayed hidden in the hall closet listening to this heated exchange. He had never met Emily before let alone witness her talk to Sasha like this. His heart went out for Sasha but he couldn’t deny the building heat in his chest from the rage he felt. He kept his cool, however, knowing he had to be smart and calculated if he was going to help Sasha. He knew she was out of her league with this woman, and he was the only one who could help her.

Emily continued her interrogation, her voice getting louder with each passing second. "I want to know what's going on, Sasha. You're hiding something from me, and I'm not going to let it go."

Sasha, on the other hand, was putting up a strong front, but Zane could still see the fear in her eyes. "I'm not hiding anything, Emily. I swear.

There's nothing going on," Sasha said, her voice shaking slightly despite her best efforts to keep calm. She knew that Emily was like a dog with a bone when she smelled blood, and she didn't want to give her any more reason to suspect her.

Emily scoffed, her lips curling into a sneer. "You're a terrible liar, Sasha. Always have been. But you know what? I don't have time for this right now. I'm exhausted from my trip, and I just want to eat something and go to bed."

Sasha let out a sigh of relief, grateful that Emily had dropped the subject, at least for now.

She quickly plated the rest of the dinner, trying to ignore the way her hands were still trembling slightly. She set the plates on the table and gestured for Emily to sit down.

"I'm sorry I snapped at you earlier," Emily said, taking her seat. "I'm just tired and a little on edge."

Sasha forced a smile, trying to put her at ease. "It's okay, really. I understand." She sat down across from her, her eyes flicking to the closet where Zane was hiding. She prayed that Emily wouldn't notice anything amiss.

The rest of the dinner passed in strained silence.

Sasha picked at her food, her appetite long gone, while Emily wolfed down her meal with voracious speed. Zane could feel the tension in the room, even from his hiding spot in the closet. He clenched his fists, his knuckles turning white as he fought the urge to storm out and confront Emily. He knew that wouldn't benefit Sasha, though. He had to be smart, had to play this carefully.

As Emily pushed her empty plate away, she seemed to remember something. She turned to Sasha, her eyes narrowing.

“Did you take an extra long lunch today?” she asked, her voice laced with suspicion.

Sasha froze, her heart pounding in her chest. She hadn't expected this. She had taken an extra long lunch to meet up with Zane, but she had been careful to cover her tracks. She forced a smile, trying to keep her voice steady. “No, not really. Why do you ask?”

Emily's gaze was piercing, her eyes never leaving Sasha's face. “Because I called the office today, and Miranda said she hadn't seen you since noon.

Said you left early.” Emily stated, her voice flat and accusatory.

Sasha's heart skipped a beat. She felt her cheeks flush with heat as she tried to maintain her composure. She had to keep her cool, had to think fast.

"Oh, right. I forgot to tell you. I had a dentist appointment this afternoon. I completely spaced on it until the reminder came in. That's why I left early," Sasha replied, her voice steady despite the turmoil inside her.

Emily's eyes narrowed further, her gaze sweeping over Sasha as if looking for any signs of deceit. "A dentist appointment?

Why didn't you tell me about it?" Emily asked, her voice laced with skepticism.

Sasha felt her heart pounding in her chest, her palms growing sweaty. She had to stick to her story, had to sell it. "I'm sorry, I should have. I completely forgot until the reminder came in, and by then, it was too late to call you. I didn't want to bother you at work," Sasha said, her voice filled with contrition.

Emily's eyes bored into Sasha, her gaze assessing and suspicious. "You know how I feel about you not telling me things, Sasha.

It makes me feel like you're hiding something from me," Emily said, her voice cold and distant.

Sasha's heart was racing, her mind scrambling to keep up with the lies. She took a deep breath, trying to keep her composure. "I know, and I'm sorry. It won't happen again."

Emily's gaze softened slightly, and she gave Sasha a small nod. "Good. Because I don't want to have to worry about you keeping secrets from me."

Sasha nodded, her eyes downcast, trying to hide the guilt and fear that was churning inside her.

She knew she had to tread carefully, that one wrong move could unravel everything and put Zane in danger.

Emily hesitated, her gaze still sharp and penetrating. After a moment, she seemed to relent slightly. "Alright, Sasha. I believe you. But just remember, I don't like surprises." She pushed away from the table, standing up from her chair. "I'm going to go take a shower. You can clean up in here."

Sasha let out a soft sigh of relief as Emily walked away, her footsteps echoing down the hallway.

She quickly stood up, her chair scraping against the hardwood floor, and made her way to the closet where Zane was hiding. She opened the door just a crack and peeked inside, her eyes searching for him in the dim light.

"Is it safe?" Zane asked, his voice a low whisper.

Sasha nodded, her shoulders slumping with relief. "Yeah, she's gone to take a shower. We're in the clear for now."

Zane stepped out of the closet, his tall frame filling the narrow doorway. He wrapped his arms around Sasha, pulling her close and burying his face in her hair.

"Are you okay? That was... intense," he murmured, his voice thick with concern.

Sasha nodded against his chest, her arms wrapping tightly around his waist. Before she could respond she heard Emily clicking her teeth.

“I fucking knew it. You were hiding a man in here. And lied to my fucking face Sasha” Emily spat, her voice low and dangerous. She had appeared out of nowhere, standing in the doorway of the closet, her eyes burning with fury as she took in the scene of Sasha and Zane entwined. Zane's arms tightened around Sasha protectively, shielding her from Emily's piercing gaze.

“Emily, please,” Sasha pleaded, her voice shaking. “You don’t understand—”

“Oh, I understand perfectly, Sasha,” Emily cut her off, her voice dripping with vitriol. “I understand that you’ve been playing me for a fool.

That you’ve been sneaking around behind my back with this... this... man.” Emily spat the word with such venom that it stung Sasha to her core. She could feel Zane’s body tense behind her, his protective embrace a reassuring presence against the storm that was Emily.

“Emily, please,” Sasha begged, her voice trembling with fear. She hadn’t realized that Emily had been watching them from the shadows, her fury growing as she witnessed their secret rendezvous.

She felt Zane's body tense beneath her touch, his protective instinct kicking in as he shielded her from Emily's wrath.

"Emily, please, you don't understand," Sasha pleaded, her voice shaking with fear. She tried to step in front of Zane, to protect him from the storm that was Emily, but Zane held her back, his strong arms wrapped around her waist.

"You're damn right I don't understand, Sasha," Emily hissed, her eyes burning with an intensity that sent shivers down Sasha's spine. "I don't understand how you could betray me like this.

After everything I've done for you, everything I've given you. And this is how you repay me?" Emily spat, her voice shaking with rage.

Sasha flinched at the viciousness in Emily's voice, her heart pounding in her chest. She wanted to explain, to make Emily understand, but she knew that it was useless. Emily's mind was already made up.

"Emily, please, just calm down and let's talk about this," Zane said, his voice steady and calm despite the tension in his body.

Emily rounded on him, her eyes narrowing into slits. "And who the fuck are you?

Some kind of hero, coming in here to protect my little whore?" Emily sneered, her lip curling in disgust as she glared at Zane.

Zane's grip on Sasha tightened protectively, but he maintained his composure, his eyes locked on Emily. "I'm no hero, but I'm not going to stand by and let you hurt her either," he said, his voice firm and steady.

Emily laughed, a harsh, bitter sound that sent chills down Sasha's spine. "Hurt her? Is that what you think this is? I have never hurt that bitch a day in my life. Taught her discipline, maybe. But hurt her? Never. Sasha doesn’t know pain, at least not yet.” Emily said, stepping closer to them, her eyes locked onto Sasha, a chilling smile on her face.

Zane’s protectiveness flared to new heights. He stepped in front of Sasha, shielding her from Emily’s malevolent glare. “Don’t even think about it, Emily. I won’t let you hurt her.”

Emily scoffed, her smile never wavering. “Hurt her? I’m not going to hurt her, Zane. However I will hurt you if you don’t get the fuck out of my house. I have private conversation to discuss with MY WIFE if you don’t mind.” Emily said her voice cold and threatening.

“I’m not going anywhere until I know Sasha is safe,” Zane said his voice firm and unyielding. He kept his body between Sasha and Emily, his eyes locked onto hers.

Emily's eyes narrowed, and she sneered at Zane. “Sasha darling, tell this pathetic excuse for a man that you are safe and I would never hurt a hair on your pretty little head. And do it quickly. I’d hate to have to call the cops and tell them some scary man broke into our home and assaulted you” Emily stated, her voice filled with venom. Her eyes narrowed and her lips curled into a cruel smirk.

Zane’s eyes widened in shock. He couldn’t believe the audacity of this woman. He looked at Sasha, who was trembling behind him, her eyes filled with fear. "Sasha, I'm not leaving you here with her. She's dangerous," Zane stated firmly, his body blocking Sasha from Emily's line of sight.

"Zane, no," Sasha whispered, her hand gripping his arm tightly. “Emily is just kidding. I’m ok. I’ll call you tomorrow I promise” Sasha pleaded with her eyes, willing Zane to listen. She couldn’t bear the thought of him getting hurt or worse. She didn’t know what Emily was capable of, but she knew it wasn’t good.

Zane’s eyes softened, and he nodded slightly, his eyes filled with concern. “I’ll be waiting for your call. Be strong. I’m just a phone call away if you need anything.” He murmured, his voice filled with warmth and love. Zane turned his attention back to Emily. “If you hurt her I swear to god…” Zane said glaring at Emily. “Yea yea bitch boy. Get the fuck out of my house” Emily said waving him off but her eyes never left Sasha.

Sasha felt a pang of fear at the thought of being left alone with Emily, but she knew that Zane was right. She couldn’t let him get hurt.

She knew the monster that Emily was capable of being. Zane nodded slightly, his eyes filled with concern for Sasha. He turned his attention back to Emily, his voice steady and firm despite the fury that was blazing within him. “I’ll go, but only because Sasha asked me to. Don’t think this is over Emily. I’ll be keeping a close eye on you and Sasha from now on. If I see or hear that you’ve hurt her in any way, I will not hesitate to do everything in my power to make you pay. Do you understand me?”

Emily rolled her eyes and let out a sigh of exasperation. As he passed Emily, he stopped and leaned in close to her ear, his voice low and menacing. "I mean what I said, Emily. I'm watching you. And if you so much as lay a finger on her, I will make you regret it."

Emily bristled at his threat, her body tensing as she glared at him. But she said nothing, only watched as Zane walked out the front door, slamming it shut behind him.

Sasha let out a sigh of relief, her body shaking slightly as the adrenaline began to wear off. She turned to face Emily, her voice trembling with fear. “ I’m sorry Emily. It’s not what you think” Sasha muttered, her voice barely a whisper, her body trembling with fear

Emily's eyes narrowed, her gaze sweeping over Sasha, taking in every little detail. "Not what I think? You're lying to me, Sasha. I can see the guilt written all over your face. You've been sneaking around behind my back, haven't you?" Emily's voice was low and dangerous, her eyes never leaving Sasha's face.

Sasha shook her head, her eyes filled with tears. "No, Emily, I swear. It's not what it looks like-“ Sasha was cut off mid sentence by Emily’s back hand, leaving a cut on her lip. The force of the blow sent Sasha crashing to the floor. She winced in pain, one hand clutching her lip as she looked up at Emily. She could see the rage in Emily’s eyes, the twisted smile on her face.

“Don’t lie to me, Sasha. I won’t have it. I won’t have you disrespecting me in my own home.” Emily’s voice was low and dangerous, her eyes never leaving Sasha’s face. She took a step closer, her body vibrating with anger. “You’ve been cheating on me, haven’t you?

With that… that thing in there?” Emily spat, her voice dripping with venom as she gestured towards the closet where Zane had just been hiding.

Sasha’s vision swam with tears and pain as she tried to push herself up from the floor. “No, Emily, please. You don’t understand—”

Another blow from Emily’s fist silenced her, this time sending Sasha sprawling backwards onto the cold hardwood floor. The room spun around her, and she tasted the coppery tang of blood in her mouth. She tried to scramble away from Emily, but her limbs were heavy and uncooperative.

She could feel the warmth of blood trickling down her chin, and her vision was blurry. She heard Emily's voice, low and menacing, but it seemed to be coming from far away.

"You think you can just lie to me, Sasha? You think you can sneak around behind my back and not get caught? You're pathetic. You're a fucking whore."

Sasha tried to respond, but her voice was barely a whisper, her tongue thick and swollen in her mouth. She felt a boot connect with her side, sending a sharp pain through her body.

She curled into a ball, trying to shield herself from the blows, but Emily was relentless.

"You're mine, Sasha. You belong to me. No one else," Emily snarled, her voice shaking with rage.

Sasha could barely breathe, her body wracked with pain. She felt a sense of defeat wash over her. She knew she couldn't fight back, not physically. She had to find another way to survive this.

"Please, Emily," she gasped, her voice barely audible. "Please, stop. I'm sorry.

I'm so sorry, Emily," Sasha whispered, her voice dry and hoarse as she tried to catch her breath. Each word sent a jolt of pain through her body, and she tasted blood in her mouth. She knew she had to keep talking, had to keep Emily from losing control completely.

Emily stood over her, her chest heaving with rage and exertion. She clenched her fists, her knuckles white as she fought to control her breathing. "You're sorry?" she hissed, her voice trembling with anger. "You're sorry? You're the one who's been sneaking around behind my back.

You're the one who lied to me. You're the one who betrayed me," Emily spat, her voice filled with a mixture of rage and pain.

Sasha, curled up on the floor, her body aching from the blows she had taken, looked up at Emily with tears in her eyes. "I'm sorry, Emily. I never meant to hurt you. I never meant to lie to you. I just wanted to be happy. I wanted to feel alive again."

Emily scoffed, her eyes narrowing as she looked down at Sasha. "Happy? Alive? You think you're going to find that with him?

Look at you, Sasha. You're nothing but a cheating whore." Emily spat, her voice dripping with contempt.

Sasha flinched at the harsh words, but she couldn't deny the truth in them. She had been lying to Emily, living a double life just to feel something, anything other than the emptiness and loneliness that had become her marriage.

Emily towered over her, her eyes blazing with anger and hurt. Instead of saying g what was on her mind she kicked Sasha over and over until blood pooled on from her mouth. Every kick was fueled by anger, hurt and jealousy. “You’re a cheating whore! You think I’m going to forgive you? You think you’re going get off that easy? You’re mine Sasha. Mine! Not his. Not anyone else’s. You belong to me!” Emily screamed. She threw another kick, this time hitting Sasha in the stomach, causing her to dry heave. Sasha tried to say something but her mouth was too full of blood and her body ached so badly it was hard to do anything. Emily stopped for a moment, her breaths coming out in ragged gasps. Sasha looked up at her, her vision blurry and darkening at the edges. She knew she was in serious trouble. Emily's eyes were wild, her face flushed with the rage that coursed through her.

"You know," Emily said, her voice low and dangerous, "I always thought you were too good to be true. Too perfect. And now I see that you were just hiding who you really were. A filthy, cheating whore."

Emily took pause when Sasha didn’t respond. Not even a whimper or a gasp. Sasha was barely conscious, her body battered and bruised, her breaths coming in shallow, ragged gasps. Emily's eyes narrowed as she watched Sasha struggle to stay awake. She wanted Sasha to suffer, wanted her to feel every ounce of pain she had inflicted upon her. But she also wanted Sasha to beg for mercy, to plead for her life.

"Come on, Sasha. Say something. You can't fool me. Not after all this time." Emily taunted, her voice cold and cruel. She reached down and grabbed Sasha by the hair, tugging her head up to face her. "Look at me, Sasha.

Look at me and tell me you're sorry. Tell me you won't do it again." Emily's voice was a low growl, her fingers tightening in Sasha's hair, causing her to wince in pain.

Sasha barely managed to keep her eyes open, her vision swimming before her. Blood dripped from her lip, staining the front of her dress. She tried to speak, but her voice was barely a whisper, her tongue thick and swollen in her mouth. "I'm... sorry, Emily. I won't... do it again," she choked out, each word causing her body to tremble with pain.

Emily's eyes narrowed as she stared down at Sasha, her grip on her hair tightening. "Not good enough, Sasha. Say it like you mean it. Beg me for forgiveness." She said slamming Sasha’s head to floor before dragging it back up again by Sasha hair.

That was all it took. The light in Sasha’s eyes dimmed and her eyes closed, her body limp.

Emily's grip on her hair loosened and Sasha's head fell to the side, blood dripping from her lip. Emily stood there, panting, her anger slowly ebbing away. She looked down at Sasha's still form, her expression softening slightly.

"Sasha... Sasha, baby, come on. Wake up," Emily pleaded, her voice shaking with fear. She knelt down beside Sasha, her hand touching her cheek gently, her eyes wide with worry. "Sasha, please. I didn't mean to... I didn't..." Her voice trailed off as she realized the extent of the damage she had done.

Sasha lay motionless, her breaths shallow and ragged, her body bruised and battered. Emily's eyes widened in horror as she took in the full extent of Sasha's injuries. She had gone too far. She had always known she had a temper, that she could be cruel and unforgiving, but she had never hurt anyone like this before. Not even close.

Emily's hands trembled as she reached out to touch Sasha's face, her tears falling onto Sasha's pale cheeks. "I'm so sorry, Sasha. I didn't mean to hurt you. I just lost control.

I don't know what came over me. I swear, Sasha, I didn't mean to... I didn't...

Emily's voice trailed off as she cradled Sasha's head in her lap, her tears falling onto Sasha's face. She rocked back and forth, her arms wrapped tightly around Sasha as if she could will her back to consciousness.

The house was silent except for the soft sound of Emily's sobs and the faint ticking of the clock in the living room. The air was thick with tension and the metallic scent of blood.

Sasha lay limp in Emily's arms, her breaths coming in shallow gasps. Her once vibrant blue eyes were now closed, her face marred by bruises and blood. Emily rocked her gently, her tears falling onto Sasha's face, mixing with the blood. She was terrified, her body shaking with the force of her sobs.

"Sasha, baby, please. Wake up. Please, I'm so sorry. I just lost control. I swear, I didn't mean to... I didn't... I didn't..." Emily's voice trailed off into a wail of despair. She couldn't believe what she had done.

Suddenly she had a crazy thought. “Sasha please wake up. I’ll make love to you gently this time. Like you always wanted” Emily said, her voice filled with tears and desperation. She cupped Sasha’s face, her thumbs brushing away the tears and blood. She leaned down, her lips pressing softly against Sasha’s, trying to ignite a response. But Sasha lay limp in her arms, her body unresponsive.

Emily's heart pounded in her chest, her breaths coming in short, ragged gasps. She knew she had gone too far, that she had hurt Sasha beyond repair. She had always prided herself on her control, on her ability to keep her emotions in check.

But tonight, she had lost it all, and in the process, she had almost lost the one person who meant everything to her.

Emily shook Sasha gently, her tears falling onto Sasha's pale, bruised face. I'm so sorry. I never meant for this to happen. Please, baby, wake up."

Sasha's eyes fluttered open briefly, her breaths coming in shallow, ragged gasps. Emily's heart leaped with hope, but it was short-lived as Sasha's eyes rolled back and she slipped into unconsciousness once again. Panicked, Emily kissed Sasha again more passionately this time, thinking that her kiss had brought Sasha back. But Sasha remained unresponsive, his body limp in her arms. Emily's heart pounded in her chest, her breaths coming in short, ragged gasps as she realized that Sasha was unresponsive.

"Sasha, baby, wake up. Please, please wake up," Emily begged, her voice filled with desperation and tears. She shook Sasha gently, her hands trembling as she cradled his head in her lap. "I'm so sorry.

Emily's mind raced as she thought about what she should do. She checked Sasha pulse and found it was a little slow but normal. Her breathing was still ragged but at least she was breathing. Emily did the only thing she could do and want carry Sasha up stairs and clean her up before putting her to bed. She took care of all of her wounds the best she could. Sasha was still unconscious when Emily put her in bed and wrapped her in covers. As she turned away from the tragedy of what she had done to her wife, Sasha, the guilt overwhelmed her. Emily sat on the other side of the bed crying and praying Sasha woke up soon.

It took two days for Sasha to finally open her eyes.

She blinked slowly, her vision blurry and her head pounding with an intense throbbing pain. She groaned softly, her fingers reaching up to touch her face, wincing as she felt the tender bruises and scabs that had formed.

"Sasha," Emily's voice whispered, filled with relief and fear. She gripped Sasha's hand tightly, her eyes scanning Sasha's face for any sign of recognition. "Thank god you're awake."

Sasha's eyes slowly focused on Emily, her brows furrowing in confusion and pain. "What... what happened?" she croaked, her voice hoarse and weak.

She tried to sit up, but the pain in her body was intense, and she winced, her hand flying to her side where she felt a sharp, throbbing ache.

Emily's eyes widened in concern. "No, no, baby, don't move. You're hurt. I should have taken you to the hospital, but I was... I was scared. I didn't want anyone to know what I had done to you." Emily's voice was thick with tears, her hands trembling as she reached out to touch Sasha's face gently.

Sasha looked up at her, her eyes filled with pain and confusion. "Emily, what happened?

What are you talking about?" Sasha asked, her voice barely a whisper. She tried to push herself up into a sitting position, but the pain in her side was too much. She winced, her hand flying to her ribs, her eyes wide with shock and fear.

Emily's eyes filled with tears as she watched Sasha struggle. She quickly moved to help her, propping pillows behind her to support her back. I lost control. I didn't mean to hurt you like this. I saw you with him. With Zane. And I just snapped. I'm so sorry, baby.

I didn't mean to hurt you like this," Emily whispered, her voice cracking with emotion as she carefully helped Sasha into a sitting position. She winced as Sasha's body shook with pain, and she quickly offered her some water, supporting her head as she sipped.

Sasha's eyes were wide with fear and confusion as she looked at Emily, her hand trembling as she reached up to touch her swollen lip. She glanced at her phone and saw the 50 missed calls and text from Zane and her heart dropped. “Yeah he has been calling a lot. I told home you didn’t want to see him anymore and he didn’t take it well” Emily said, her voice trembling slightly as she handed Sasha the phone.

Sasha took the phone and looked at the missed calls and messages from Zane. Her heart ached at the thought of him worrying about her. She wanted to reassure him, to tell him that she was okay, but she knew that she couldn’t. Not yet. Not until she figured out what was going on with Emily.

“I… I don’t understand,” Sasha whispered, her voice barely audible. “Why would you do this to me, Emily? Why would you hurt me like this?”

Emily's eyes filled with tears as she looked at Sasha.

"Because I love you, Sasha. And i don’t want anyone else to have you.”

Sasha's eyes narrowed, her voice shaking with pain and fear. "I know Emily. I won’t see Zane ever again."

Emily's gaze perked up. “That makes me so happy to hear those words coming from you Sasha. Now it can just be me and you. I’ll never hurt you again” Emily said, her voice filled with sincerity and emotion, her eyes filled with tears.

Sasha looked at Emily, paused for a moment, then said, “ok Emily, I forgive you.” Because what else was she supposed to say? Sasha now knew how far Emily would go to hurt her and she was terrified. She had always be afraid of Emily but she never thought she would actually kill her one day if her rage went unchecked. Sasha knew from this day on that she had to be extra careful and good to Emily. After all her life was at stake. No one was going to swoop in and save her now. She had to play the game, had to keep Emily happy and satisfied. She knew that she couldn't tell her about Zane anymore. She had to keep that part of her life hidden, had to pretend that he never existed.

"Thank you, Sasha," Emily said, her voice filled with relief. She leaned down and pressed a soft, gentle kiss to Sasha's forehead. "I'm so glad you understand. I never want to hurt you again, baby. I just want to love you and take care of you.

Let’s forget about all this and start fresh, okay?” Emily said, her voice filled with hope and desperation as she squeezed Sasha's hand.

Sasha nodded, her expression unreadable as she stared at the bedsheets, her mind racing with thoughts and fears that she dared not voice. She knew that she had to play along, at least for now. She had to keep Emily happy and satisfied, or else she would find herself on the receiving end of her wrath once again.

Emily's eyes softened as she looked down at Sasha, her thumb brushing away a stray tear that had escaped her eye. "I love you, Sasha.

You're all I have in this world. I can't lose you," Emily whispered, her voice thick with emotion. She leaned down and pressed a soft kiss to Sasha's forehead, her hand gently stroking her hair.

Sasha remained silent, her mind racing with thoughts of Zane and the danger she now faced. Age felt a pang on sadness glancing at her phone to Zane’s unanswered messages. He had to be worried sick about her. Sasha promised herself she would reach out again when it was safe.
