Chapter 5: The Unwanted Arousal
The heavy restroom door clicked shut, muffling the distant thump of music and forced laughter from the party below. Silence, thick and suffocating, pressed in. Only the erratic drip of a faucet and Sara’s own ragged breathing broke it. She’d locked herself in the farthest stall, collapsing onto the closed toilet lid, her body trembling violently. The polished chrome felt icy through her torn silk dress. Her knees pressed together, slick with a mixture she couldn't bear to name – Richard’s seed, David’s seed, and her own blood, sticky and cold.
"Get yourself together. Five minutes." Richard’s voice, smooth and menacing, echoed in the hollow space behind her eyes. "Smile. Or everyone finds out what a desperate, unstable little slut you really are. How you begged us for it."
Nausea surged, a hot wave. She gagged, dry heaving over the toilet bowl, bile burning her throat. Nothing came up. Just the phantom taste of champagne and violation. She pressed her forehead against the cool metal partition. Her cheekbone throbbed where it had cracked against the railing. Every muscle screamed. Between her legs, a deep, raw ache pulsed in time with her frantic heartbeat. A visceral reminder of David’s brutal thrusts, Richard’s cruel invasion.
She felt filthy. Contaminated. She wanted to peel her skin off. Scrub until it bled. Her gaze dropped to her hands, trembling violently in her lap. They looked alien. Weapons that had clawed uselessly at Richard, or helpless witnesses? Slowly, almost against her will, her right hand drifted downwards. Her fingers brushed the bunched, damp hem of her dress. Hesitated. Trembled harder.
"Look at her ass clenching. See that? She’s fighting it, but her body knows. Biology always wins, sweetheart." Richard’s smug observation, a fresh lash.
A choked sob escaped her. Her fingers pushed beneath the ruined silk, encountering warm, swollen flesh. Sore beyond belief. Tender. Slick. She gasped, horrified. Not just from the residue of them, but from her own treacherous body. A fresh wave of wetness met her probing fingertips. Hot. Insistent. Utterly disconnected from the horror screaming in her mind.
"No," she whispered, the word cracking. "No, no, no."
But her fingers didn’t retreat. Curiosity warred with revulsion. A morbid, terrifying compulsion. She touched the swollen folds, wincing at the sharp pain mixed with a shocking jolt of… something else. A deep, internal thrum. Her breath hitched. She pressed a finger experimentally against her clit, the small bud still tender from David’s rough pinch. A choked moan, utterly involuntary, vibrated in her bruised throat.
"You like this, don't you, Sara?" David’s hot, sour breath ghosted in her ear memory. "Deep down? All that feminist bullshit… just a front. Wanted it."
"Liar," she hissed at the empty stall, tears spilling hot and fast. "Monster." But her finger moved again, circling the sensitive nub with more pressure this time. Her hips jerked forward slightly, seeking the contact. It was like watching her body betray her from a distance. The slickness increased, undeniable. The ache inside, the raw soreness, seemed to intensify the confusing pulse of sensation. Shame, scalding and thick, washed over her, but it was tangled with a horrifying thread of physical response.
She imagined Richard’s hands pinning her wrists. David’s weight crushing her against the railing. The brutal thrusts. The mocking words. The helplessness. And with each mental image, her finger moved faster, rougher, mimicking the violation. Her other hand clamped over her mouth, stifling the gasps and low whimpers that escaped. Her body arched off the toilet lid, seeking friction, seeking release from the unbearable tension strung tight within her core.
The conflict was excruciating. Mind screaming rape, violation, hatred. Body responding with heat, wetness, a desperate, shaming climb. Her breath came in short, sharp pants against her palm. The fluorescent light overhead flickered, casting jagged shadows. The motivational poster on the wall – Creativity Takes Courage! – blurred into meaningless colors. She was losing herself in the awful duality. The violation wasn't just physical; it was rewriting her own internal wiring.
Just as the unbearable pressure peaked, her gaze snagged on the reflection in the polished chrome of the stall door. A distorted, tear-streaked face stared back. Hollow eyes. Hair matted. Lip split. The Innovator of the Year. The fierce feminist who wouldn't back down.
"Begged us for it."
The distorted reflection in the chrome held her captive. That bruised face, the Innovator of the Year plaque now a cruel joke beneath Richard’s predatory smirk in her mind. "Begged us for it." The words, hot and poisonous, coiled in her gut. Her finger pressed harder against her throbbing clit, a jolt of sensation cutting through the shame like lightning. It wasn't pleasure, not really; it was a desperate, involuntary surge against the suffocating horror, a biological betrayal screaming louder than her shattered mind.
Each remembered thrust, Richard’s amused chuckle as she scrabbled uselessly against the railing, David’s calloused hands gripping her hips – the images flickered behind her eyelids like a grotesque film reel. They ignited a terrifying heat deep inside, a counterpoint to the raw ache. Her breath hitched, ragged and shallow against her palm still clamped over her mouth. Her hips rocked forward slightly, seeking the pressure, chasing the frantic energy building like a storm surge inside her core, threatening to drown everything.
The friction intensified, a rough rhythm mirroring the violation burned into her memory. Her other hand gripped the edge of the toilet tank, knuckles white. Tears streamed silently down her cheeks, dripping onto her exposed thigh. She was poised on a knife-edge, the awful tension coiling impossibly tight, a scream trapped in her chest alongside the rising wave of unwanted, shattering release. The flickering light blurred into streaks.
Suddenly, the heavy restroom door thudded open with a careless bang. Sara froze. Every muscle locked. Her finger stilled, pressed deep against herself. Two familiar voices, loud and unconcerned, echoed off the sterile tiles.
"...told you she'd crack eventually," Richard's smooth, unmistakable baritone sliced through the air, laced with satisfaction. The sound was a physical blow, rooting her to the spot. "That righteous indignation? Paper-thin. Always is."
David’s gruffer laugh followed, closer now, near the sinks. "Christ, Rich, the look on her face when you shoved her over that railing." He sounded almost nostalgic. "Like a spooked deer. Didn't even scream, just... choked. Classic." The metallic scrape of a faucet handle turning squealed in the silence. Water splashed. "Bet she's hiding in a corner somewhere right now, shaking."
Sara held her breath, every fiber screaming. The terrifying momentum towards climax vanished, replaced by icy terror. Her body was a statue, straining to hear over the thunder of her own pulse.
"Exactly," Richard purred. She could picture his smirk. "All that fire. Pointless. Just needed the right... persuasion. Biological imperative, David. They fight it, but it's always there. Underneath." A pause. The distinct sound of water hitting porcelain. "Worth the risk? Hell yes. Who's she gonna tell? The committee? After this?" He chuckled. "Her word against titans. She’s finished."
"True," David agreed, his voice thick with something Sara couldn't quite place – amusement? Contempt? "Still. Messy. My cufflink got bent when she flailed." The faucet squeaked off. Silence. Then, a low, conspiratorial tone: "Admit it, though. Worth it just to see that smug 'feminist of the year' facade crumble. To show her exactly where she stands." A beat. "You think she liked it? Deep down?"
Richard’s laugh was colder than the metal beneath Sara. "Does it matter? She took it. That’s the point. Took it from both of us. And she’ll keep taking it, metaphorically speaking, every time she tries to step back into that arena. Broken little bird."
The silence after his words was absolute. Sara strained to hear. Were they moving? Looking? Her legs trembled violently from the awkward, frozen position. A single, traitorous tear tracked down her cheek, hitting the tile floor with an inaudible plink. The cold chrome pressed against her forehead felt like the only solid thing in a world tilting violently. Her finger was still inside her, forgotten, a numb intrusion. The scent of David’s expensive cologne drifted faintly under the stall door, mingling with the lingering smell of her own fear and the metallic tang of blood. She didn't dare move a muscle. Didn't dare breathe. The drip from the faucet echoed like a hammer blow in the charged stillness.
