Chapter 2: Recovery and changes

The world swirled around David as consciousness slowly returned. His vision blurred, the edges frayed and indistinct, as if he was peering through a haze of fog. A wave of nausea rippled through his body, accompanied by dull aches radiating from various parts of his form. He groaned softly, the sound muffled by the coarse fabric covering his mouth.

He tried to move, but the restraints binding his wrists and ankles held fast. Taut ropes dug into his flesh, causing welts to rise along his skin.

The smell of sweat, fear, and desperation permeated the air - a potent cocktail that clung to his nostrils and weighed heavily on his conscience.

"Lisa?" he croaked, his voice hoarse and raspy. "Lisa, can you hear me?"

Silence answered his plea, save for the distant hum of insects and the occasional chirping of unseen birds. The world beyond the confines of his prison remained shrouded in mystery, an enigma that threatened to consume him whole.

He squirmed in his bonds, straining against the harsh constraints until his muscles burned with exertion. Desperation fueled his efforts, driving him to the brink of madness. Still, the stubborn ropes refused to yield, holding him captive in a dance of pain and frustration.

Through the fog of his unconsciousness, a faint whisper drifted towards him like a ghostly specter. "David?" the voice murmured, tentative and filled with concern. His heartbeat accelerated, the familiar cadence of his beloved's voice igniting a spark of hope within his desolate soul.

he repeated, the word escaping as a prayer rather than a question.

Silence lingered, thick and oppressive, threatening to suffocate him. the voice murmured again, this time louder and more resolute. "Are you okay?"

Relief washed over him like a soothing balm, seeping into his very pores and enveloping him in a cocoon of warmth. "Lisa," he whispered, his voice fragile and uncertain.

"Is that you?"

The voice responded immediately, a wave of relief washing over him. "Yes, David, it's me. Are you alright?"

He coughed, his throat raw and parched. "I'm okay," he lied, the pain gnawing at his insides. "But I can't move."

"David, listen to me," Lisa pleaded, her voice quivering with urgency. "We have to find a way out of here.

" Lisa's voice trembled, her words staccato, as if struggling to break through the suffocating silence. "I heard voices outside, talking about moving us further into the village."

David swallowed hard, tasting the bitter sting of fear in his throat. "Who are they?" he asked, his voice cracking like dry timber. "Are they friendly?"

Lisa's breath hitched, the strain evident in her tone. "I don't know," she admitted, her voice wavering.

"They sounded rough, but maybe they're just worried about us. We're in their territory, after all."

David frowned, his mind whirling with questions. "But why tie us up?" he protested, his words punctuated by a sharp intake of breath. "Surely they realize we meant no harm."

Lisa sighed, her voice muffled behind the gag. "Maybe they're just cautious," she reasoned, her words sounding hopeful yet uncertain. "We've been through a lot together, haven't we?

" Lisa mused, her voice barely audible. "First, the terrifying storm, then the jeep's precarious situation, and now this..."

David listened intently, his pulse throbbing in sync with the rhythmic pound of his heart. "You're right," he agreed, his voice low and steady. "It feels like a test of sorts, doesn't it? To see whether we're strong enough to go through hell and high water."

Lisa sighed, her breathing shallow and rapid.

"Maybe we should try communicating with them," she suggested, her voice muffled by the gag. "We could convince them that we're not here to cause trouble."

David considered her proposal, his thoughts churning like a whirlpool. "I suppose it's worth a shot," he murmured, his voice strained and desperate. "But how do we reach out to them, Lisa? How?"

Lisa fell silent, her heart pounding like a war drum in her chest. "I'll do my best," she promised, her voice quivering with uncertainty.

"We need to signal them somehow. Maybe tap twice on the walls or floor?"

David nodded, his thoughts churning like a hurricane. "Sounds good," he replied, his voice firm and steady. "I'll do my part once we hear footsteps approaching."

They waited with bated breath, listening carefully for any signs of movement outside. The seconds ticked by, each one feeling like an eternity stretched thin. The air was thick with tension, a palpable force that seemed to press down on their shoulders in waves.

The thrumming of blood pulsed in their ears, mingling with the distant sounds of the jungle outside. Silence reigned supreme, a cloak of darkness draped over the interior of the makeshift jail cell. David and Lisa held their breath, straining to detect any signs of life from beyond the walls.

"One," David counted under his breath, tapping twice on the damp concrete floor. "Two."

He exhaled, his lungs craving fresh oxygen as he waited for a response.

The tension in the air was thick, as if a storm was brewing inside the cramped cell. They tapped twice again, hoping that somewhere in the darkness, someone would respond. Silence prevailed, the only noise being the distant rustling of leaves outside. Time seemed to slow down, each second feeling like an hour.

"One," David murmured again, his voice trembling with anticipation.

He tapped thrice on the wall, signaling a message to their captors.

"Three," he whispered, his heart pounding in his chest.

He couldn't help but think back to the days when they used to share sweet nothings on their porch swing, their love blossoming like a rare flower in the wild. He blinked, forcing himself to stay focused on the present. "Okay, listen closely," he said, his voice hushed and steady. "I'm going to count to five, and then we'll both tap six times."

Lisa sucked in a sharp breath, her fingers digging into the damp dirt beneath her. "Ready?" she asked, her voice barely audible.

"Ready," Lisa whispered, her hands trembling slightly. Together, they counted with purposeful intent, each tap resonating with an intensity that seemed to shake the very foundations of their confinement.

One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Six.

The silence that followed was deafening, the air thick with anticipation. Each heartbeat echoed in their minds, a constant reminder of their predicament. And then, as if conjured from the void itself, a faint echo reverberated through the chamber. It was barely perceptible, a whispering caress against their senses.

Yet the ripple of anticipation that coursed through their bodies spoke volumes of the promise that lay hidden beneath those murky depths. They held their breath, listening intently for the tiniest echoes of recognition. Would their signal be understood? Or would they remain trapped in this suffocating cell forevermore?

David and Lisa's hands trembled, their palms slick with perspiration. Their hearts pounded in their chests, the rhythmic drumbeat fueling their hopes and fears alike. Time seemed to stretch into infinity, every second fraught with the tension of a thousand unspoken words.

David and Lisa held their breath, listening intently for any sign of acknowledgment—a single knock, a whispered reply, or perhaps a change in the ambient noises outside.

"Seven," David whispered, the sound barely registering above the cacophony of blood rushing through his veins. He tapped seven times on the concrete floor, each strike landing with precise deliberation.

Lisa's voice trembled, her heart beating wildly in her chest. "Eight," she murmured, matching David's rhythm with eight taps on the wall.

In the distance they could hear it, faint at first but gradually growing louder with each passing second, foot steps in the undergrowth!

The two maintained their composure, remaining absolutely still in their respective corners of the cramped cell.

"Ten," David whispered, his voice barely audible. He tapped ten times on the wall, each strike landing with deliberate precision.

Lisa's heart raced, her voice quivering like a leaf in the wind. "Eleven," she murmured, matching David's rhythm with eleven taps on the door.

Each strike landed with a resounding thud, reverberating through the enclosed space. Their hands trembled, their palms slick with perspiration.

The distant footsteps grew louder, drawing ever closer to their makeshift prison.

"Stay calm," David whispered, his voice strained and hoarse. "Remember, we're not alone in this."

Lisa nodded, her eyes locked on the door separating them from freedom. "We'll make it through," she reassured him, her voice cracking slightly.

Just then a figure entered the hut, arms outspread “welcome, honored guests!” The man spoke.

His voice was deep and resonant, carrying the weight of authority and wisdom. “Welcome to our humble abode, dear travelers.”

David and Lisa exchanged hesitant glances, their hands instinctively reaching towards each other. The man noticed their discomfort and gestured with a welcoming flourish. “Do not fret, friends. We mean you no harm. We merely sought to protect you, given the circumstances of your arrival.”

David cleared his throat, his voice scratchy from disuse. “Protect us? But, sir, we pose no threat to your people.

We simply wish to return to civilization," David implored, his voice quivering slightly.

Chief Kwame arched an eyebrow, a hint of amusement dancing in his eyes. "Perhaps," he conceded, his baritone voice reverberating through the dimly lit hut. "But my people aren't convinced. They saw you crash into their land, your jeep teetering on the edge of destruction."

Lisa interjected, her voice tight and controlled. "We understand," she said, meeting the chief's gaze directly.

"We're grateful for your hospitality, even though it may seem forced."

Lisa's voice trembled slightly, betraying the anxiety simmering beneath her composed exterior. Despite her outward poise, she couldn't help but shiver, the chill of impending danger seeping into her bones.

Chief Kwame raised an eyebrow, his piercing gaze appraising her with interest. "Hospitality?" he repeated, his voice dripping with sardonic humour. “Right, and you will see home again once you have recovered from your injuries, I am afraid if you go out into the jungle as you are now you will surely parish!” He explained with mock concern.

“Let me assure you, there is no malice in our intentions. We are a tribe united by curiosity and respect for nature’s offerings. Our customs might seem peculiar to you, but trust me, we treat our guests with utmost reverence.”

Lisa and David exchanged uneasy glances, their hearts pounding with trepidation. They knew they had stumbled upon a unique opportunity to learn about another culture, but the overwhelming fear of the unknown loomed large.

The chief continued, his voice deep and soothing, like a gentle breeze through the jungle canopy.

"My tribe cherishes knowledge and respects the spirits of our ancestors. We hold rituals and ceremonies to maintain harmony with nature and appease the gods. Now, we seek divine guidance regarding your fate."

David and Lisa exchanged apprehensive glances, their hearts pounding like war drums in their chests. The prospect of facing an unfamiliar deity was daunting, but they knew they had no choice but to follow the tribe's customs.

"Please, esteemed guests," the chief implored, his gaze locking onto theirs.

"Join us in our ceremony tomorrow morning. Our shaman will offer prayers, seeking divine guidance for your safe passage."

Lisa gulped, her heart pounding against her ribcage. "I…we…" she mumbled, her voice trembling. David squeezed her hand, his touch a comforting anchor amid the chaos.

"We accept," he declared, his voice steadfast. "We'll join your ceremony, Chief Kwame."

The chief smiled, his eyes twinkling with delight. "Excellent decision, dear traveler," he praised, extending a bony hand.

"May I request you to grant me and my tribe the honor of naming you?"

David and Lisa exchanged glances, their expressions conveying a mix of curiosity and hesitation. The thought of adopting new names in this foreign land felt almost surreal, yet the prospect of being accepted as members of the tribe was enticing.

"Well," David began, weighing his options carefully. "If it means gaining acceptance among your people, then we'd be delighted to adopt new names."

Chief Kwame's eyes brightened, his weathered face creasing into a wide grin.

"Wonderful!" he exclaimed, his voice rich with joy. "With your permission, I shall christen you both with new names, reflecting your spirit and journey thus far."

Lisa hesitated, her gaze flicking between David and the chief. "Of course," she finally agreed, her voice soft and subdued. "We eagerly await our new monikers."

She looked at David, their eyes speaking volumes of unspoken promises and shared dreams. He met her gaze, his features hardening with determination.

"So, let's hear it," he challenged, crossing his arms defiantly. "What kind of name do you fancy for a pair of intrepid explorers like us?"

Chief Kwame smirked, his eyes gleaming mischievously. "I shall bestow upon thee the names chosen by our tribal elders," he announced grandly, raising his hands skyward. "For such brave souls require names that echo their valor and resolve."

Lisa and David held their breath, their hearts racing with anticipation.

The atmosphere was charged with excitement and nervous energy, as if the entire tribe had gathered to witness this momentous occasion. The chief stood before them, his aged face etched with lines of wisdom and experience. He gazed intensely at them, his eyes gleaming with a strange intensity.

"Behold," he proclaimed loudly, his voice echoing through the room.

"The mighty explorer, David, shall henceforth be known as 'Mbeya,' meaning 'strong and courageous.'"

A gasp escaped Lisa's lips, her eyes widening in surprise. "And what of me?" she asked nervously, her voice cracking slightly.

Chief Kwame grinned widely, his eyes sparkling with delight. "And the exquisite beauty, Lisa, shall receive the name 'Kikaya,' which translates to 'graceful and resilient.'"

Lisa blushed, her heart pounding with a mix of embarrassment and pride.

"Kikaya," she murmured, testing the unusual name on her tongue. "I guess it fits, doesn't it?"

David nodded, his expression stoic despite the lingering discomfort in his restrained limbs. "Yeah," he agreed, his voice strained. "Let's just hope these new names won't be too confusing, especially considering our dire situation."

Lisa sighed, her gaze flickering towards the ominous darkness beyond the hut's entrance. "What choice do we have, really?" she lamented, her voice laced with resignation.

"But hey," she added, attempting to lighten the mood, "at least we get to choose our own names, right? That's gotta count for something."

David smiled weakly, his gaze drifting towards the dimly lit exit. "Yeah, I guess so," he replied, his voice echoing with hollow enthusiasm. "But I have to admit, I'm still kinda scared about what this tribe has planned for us."

Lisa reached out, her fingers brushing against his arm in a gesture of comfort. "Me too," she confessed, her voice trembling slightly.

"I mean, we're strangers in a strange land, right? We have no idea what this tribe has in store for us."

Lisa hesitated, her heart pounding like a war drum in her chest. "That's true," she agreed, her voice quavering slightly. "But I also want to believe that they mean us no harm. This tribe seems genuinely interested in us."

David sighed, his gaze flickering towards the ominous darkness beyond the hut's entrance. "Yeah, I suppose so," he muttered, his voice laced with doubt.

"That's true," he agreed, his voice quavering slightly.

"Oh, definitely," Lisa chimed in, her voice soft and seductive. "I feel like they truly want to get to know us."

David and Lisa shared a knowing glance, their bond fortified by shared experiences and the unyielding desire to survive. They were thrown into a bizarre world, where the line between friend and foe was blurred. The couple had faced countless trials and tribulations, but nothing quite prepared them for this moment.

The chief clapped his hands and four tribes men came in and picked David and Lisa up. “Come, take Kikaya and Mbeya to their separate huts while they recuperate!” The chief ordered.

Lisa felt her feet lift off the ground, her heart pounding against her ribs. She looked over at David, his face contorted in a grimace of discomfort. They were carried away, leaving the warm glow of the fire and the flickering shadows cast by the dancing flames.

In the distance, the villagers chattered excitedly, their voices merging into a cacophonous symphony of anticipation and wonder. Fear trickled down Lisa's spine, sending chills across her exposed skin.

She squinted in the darkness, trying to catch a glimpse of her surroundings. The torchlight was sporadic, casting grotesque shadows along the path.

"Easy now," one of the burly tribesmen grunted, his voice muffled underneath the heavy headpiece. "We don't want any nasty accidents, do we?"

Lisa winced, feeling the cold metal of the chains biting into her wrists. She bit her lip, her gaze darting around in search of David.

"Where are they taking him?" she asked, her voice quivering with worry.

The tribesman shrugged, his expression unreadable in the dim light. "To his designated hut," he answered curtly, his tone devoid of emotion.

Lisa frowned, her heart aching with dread. "Can't I see him?" she pleaded, her voice breaking.

The tribesman shook his head, his gaze never straying from the path ahead. "No," he said firmly, his voice flat and unwavering. “Men and women are not allowed to sleep in same huts unless bound to each other by tribal ceremonies, it is our custom” the tribesman explained.

His voice was low but stern, and his words struck a chord deep within Lisa's soul.

"But we're married," she protested, her voice trembling with desperation. "We belong together!"

The tribesman paused, his gaze fixated on the path ahead. "I understand," he murmured sympathetically, his voice laced with regret. "But our customs dictate otherwise. Please forgive us."

His words stung like a slap to the face, leaving Lisa reeling in disbelief.

"But we're married," she insisted, her voice trembling with frustration. "How can you deny us that basic human right?"

The tribesman hesitated, his gaze wavering briefly before settling on the dusty path ahead. "I apologize," he murmured sheepishly, his voice laced with sorrow. "Our customs are strict, and we must abide by them."

Lisa bit her lip, her heart pounding with despair. "I understand," she conceded defeatedly, her voice cracking with vulnerability.

"But please," she begged, her plea filled with desperation, "just tell me that he's okay."

The tribesman paused, his gaze flitting back and forth as if debating internally. In that fleeting instant, Lisa caught a glimpse of his inner turmoil.

"He's fine," he assured her eventually, his voice laden with caution. "As far as I know, anyway."

It wasn't much, but it was enough to alleviate some of the crushing anxiety weighing heavily on Lisa's shoulders.

She breathed out a sigh of relief, her tense muscles beginning to relax. The torches danced in the wind, casting sinister shadows on the mud huts. Lisa tried to focus on the hypnotic patterns, but her mind kept wandering back to David.

The separation was agonizing, but Lisa was determined to remain optimistic. She shifted uncomfortably in the arms of the man.

“Here, this is where you stay!” The native man explained as her carried Lisa into her hut and gently laid her on the bed, he then removed any restraints she had on and grabbed a bowl and poured something in it and offered it to Lisa.

“We have special medicine here, drink this. The tribe says it will heal you and help you regain your strength.”

Lisa stared at the brown liquid, unsure whether to trust the stranger. Her instincts screamed at her to resist, but she also knew that she needed whatever help she could get. Reluctantly, she took the bowl and sniffed at the contents. The smell was strange, almost nauseating, but she swallowed her doubts and drank the concoction. It tasted bitter and tangy, burning her throat as it went down.

She grimaced, her stomach churning from the unfamiliar concoction. Yet, she steeled herself, reminding herself that it was necessary for her health and recovery.

Lisa listened to the distant murmurings of the village, her thoughts swirling with uncertainty. She wondered how David was doing, if he was eating properly, and if he was receiving the attention he deserved. The thought of him lying helplessly in his hut made her heart ache, but she knew that they were in good hands.

At least, she hoped so. The fire burned fiercely, casting grotesque shadows on the muddy walls. Lisa tried to distract herself by studying the intricate patterns formed by the dancing flames. It was a mesmerizing sight, the fluid motion painting a vivid picture of their current situation.

"Hey, uh, thanks for bringing me here," she said, her voice wobbly. "I appreciate it."

The tribesman didn't respond. Instead, he remained silent, staring blankly at the crackling fire. The tension between them thickened, the air crackling with unspoken words.

Lisa shifted uncomfortably, her eyes darting around the dimly lit hut. She wanted to reach out to David, to hold his hand and remind him that they were in this together. But she knew better than to challenge the tribal customs.

"So, um, have you been living here for long?" she asked awkwardly, trying to break the ice.

The tribesman shrugged nonchalantly, his gaze flitting back and forth across the fire. "All my life," he muttered gruffly, his voice laced with weariness.

"Never left this place since birth. Born and bred a tribesman, that's me."

Lisa perked up, her eyes shining with intrigue. "Really?" she prodded, her voice eager. "Would love to hear more about it sometime."

The tribesman hesitated, his gaze flitting between the fire and her expectant face. "Maybe someday," he murmured cryptically, his voice dipping lower.

Lisa sighed, her heart aching with longing.

"I hope so," she responded wistfully, her voice trailing off. "You know, we've been through a lot together, David and I. I wouldn't trade those memories for anything in the world."

The tribesman studied her closely, his gaze piercing through the veil of darkness. "I can sense that connection between you," he acknowledged quietly, his voice deep and contemplative. “It is strange to see man and woman behaving this way with out receiving permission from Kulooka, god of unions” the tribes man said out loud.

Lisa shot him a sideways glance, her eyebrows arching in surprise. "Kulooka?" she echoed, her voice dropping to a whisper. "Is that who we need to ask to share a hut tonight?"

The tribesman nodded, his gaze fixed on the flickering fires. "Yes, indeed," he uttered gravely, his voice trembling slightly. "Without his blessing, sharing a hut is forbidden.

" The tribesman confirmed somberly, the weight of tradition hanging heavily in the air. "I would hate to see you punished, Kikaya."

Lisa swallowed hard, her palms sweating involuntarily. A punishment? The mere thought sent a wave of terror coursing through her veins. "I understand," she managed to choke out, her voice shaking with fear. "Thanks for telling me."

She stared at the fiery inferno, lost in thought. How could she convince the chief to preform the ceremony of union to allow her and David to share a hut?

She pondered the question, her mind racing with possible solutions. Perhaps she could perform a ritual dance or sing a song dedicated to Kulooka. Or maybe she could offer a sacrifice of some sort, like a chicken or a goat.

Lisa racked her brain, trying to think of ways to impress the god of unions. But all she could come up with were cliché ideas, like offering gifts or praying fervently. Nothing seemed original or creative enough to capture the attention of a powerful deity.

Her thoughts drifted to David, wondering how he was coping with his own predicament.

She imagined him sitting in his hut, nursing his wounds and silently cursing his luck. But despite the distance between them, she knew that their bond transcended physical barriers.

"Hey, you awake?" she asked softly, peeking through the door flap.

The tribesman turned around, his face lighting up with surprise. "Ah, Kikaya. You should be resting."

Lisa shuffled her feet, a blush creeping up her cheeks. "I was thinking, you know, maybe we could talk some more.

About the tribe, about Kulooka," Lisa suggested, her voice wavering slightly. "If you're up for it, that is."

The tribesman regarded her thoughtfully, his eyes narrowing slightly. "I suppose a little conversation wouldn't hurt," he admitted reluctantly, his voice hoarse and uncertain. "But remember, you should not speak of our beliefs without proper understanding."

Lisa nodded, her grip tightening around the wooden bowl. "Understood," she said confidently, her voice steady and resolute.

"Just promise me that you'll teach me everything about your tribe and its customs. I'm intrigued, and I want to learn as much as I can."

The tribesman gazed at her intently, his eyes shining with admiration. "Very well, Kikaya," he consented reluctantly, his voice quivering slightly. "But bear in mind that many of our customs are sacred and must be respected."

Lisa nodded emphatically, her face glowing with anticipation. "Of course," she affirmed earnestly, her voice laced with conviction.

"I promise to respect your cultural heritage and listen attentively to your teachings."

The tribesman eyed her skeptically, his face contorting into a pained grimace. "Very well," he acquiesced cautiously, his voice strained and apprehensive. "But remember, what you learn here is sacred and must not be shared outside our boundaries."

Lisa nodded vigorously, her eyes shimmering with excitement. "I swear," she pledged sincerely, her voice quivering with emotion.

"I won't reveal any details about your tribe, your customs, or your sacred beliefs. I only wish to gain a deeper understanding of your culture and history."

He studied her carefully, his eyes scanning her face for signs of deceit. "Very well," he relented, his voice still wary. "I will share some tales with you, though you must swear to keep them secret."

Lisa nodded enthusiastically, her heart pounding with anticipation. "I swear," she vowed earnestly, her voice ringing with conviction.

“Since you have received a tribes name you are a tribeswoman now, I can share with you our customs” he explained further.

Lisa nodded eagerly, her eyes shining with interest. "Please, go ahead," she urged, her voice soft and respectful. "I'm dying to learn more about your way of life."

Lisa nodded vigorously, her heart pounding with anticipation.

Lisa fell asleep listening to the tribesmen talk about their ways. Failing to understand that they already considered her a tribes woman.

——————-

David awoke the next morning sore from laying on a straw mate on the ground, he was not accustomed to resting in such a way. Or maybe it was from the car accident.

Regardless, his bones ached and throbbed, and every movement seemed to bring a fresh wave of searing pain. Still, he refused to give in to the discomfort.

Several times, he attempted to rise, only to collapse back onto the mat beneath him amidst labored groans and heated curses. His patience was wearing thin, and his temper was growing short. If only he could see Lisa again, or even communicate with the tribesmen...

David scanned the small space enclosed by palm fronds, his gaze settling on the crude wooden bowl set near the foot of his makeshift bed.

The scent of some sort of herbal remedy wafted upwards, filling the air with a faint whiff of medicinal potency. On the floor beside him lay a bundle of woven grasses, obviously serving as a substitute for toilet paper. Despite the primitive conditions, David couldn't help but chuckle at the absurdity of his situation.

"So, uhh, do you think you could, like, bring me some water?" he called out, his voice echoing through the hut. "Or maybe some food?

" David added, his voice trembling slightly. "You know, I haven't eaten in ages, and I'm starving!"

Silence engulfed the hut, the only sound that of David's ragged breathing. Time seemed to slow down, stretching forever until a shadowy figure emerged from the doorway.

"We brought water," a deep voice rumbled, the accent thick and unfamiliar. "Drink it and recover."

A young tribesman entered, carrying a gourd filled with cool, refreshing water.

He approached David cautiously, his eyes wide with awe and respect. The water tasted clean and pure, washing away the taste of fear and uncertainty.

"Thank you," David whispered gratefully, his voice barely audible. "I appreciate your kindness."

The tribesman blinked once, stunned by the unexpected gratitude. Then, he bowed deeply and exited the hut, leaving David alone with his thoughts.

David sipped the water slowly, feeling the familiar sensation of hydration spreading through his parched body.

The tribesman's retreating form vanished into the hazy gloom, leaving him alone with his thoughts.

"Lisa," he murmured under his breath, her name echoing in his mind with a desperate edge. "Where are you, babe? Are you alright?"

He knew she was safe, but the uncertainty gnawed at him, twisting his innards with dread. He missed her warmth, her laughter, and the way she'd look at him with loving admiration. The distance between them stretched wider with each passing day, and he feared losing touch completely.

His thoughts drifted to Lisa often, her image etched deep within his memory. He yearned for her touch, her scent, and the reassuring sounds of her whispers in the dead of night.

Despite the pain and exhaustion, David pushed himself to stand. With a steadying breath, he leaned against the wall, his muscles screaming in protest. Slowly, he pulled himself upright, his legs buckling under the strain. He staggered then fell back to the ground, he was too weak to get back up!

This continued on for two more days. Until he had regained enough strength to stand on his own. It took another day of hobbling around the village before he found out what hit Lisa was being held in. The only thing villagers did was give him a cautious glance. Tonight he planned on sneaking into her hut to see her.

—————-

Lisa awoke the following morning after her first night Since arriving in the village feeling refreshed And rejuvenated.

She opened her eyes to meet the intense gaze of the tribesman who had escorted her there the previous evening.

"Good morning, Kikaya," he greeted her, his voice deep and melodious. "Are you ready to begin your lessons?"

Lisa blinked several times, her senses slowly returning to reality. "Yes," she replied, her voice croaky and rough. "I am."

Over the next few hours, the tribesman taught her about the intricacies of their traditions And customs, explaining the significance of various rituals and practices.

“Today you will go out with the un unified women of the tribe and do your duty to the tribe, help them with their work” the tribesman explained.

“Do you mean like collecting wood or gathering fruits?” Lisa asked, her voice brightening with enthusiasm.

The tribesman nodded, his gaze meeting hers with a hint of amusement. “Something like that, yes… but I’m sure you’ll find it enjoyable. Now, let’s go,” he said, his voice firm and commanding.

Lisa followed the tribesman out of the hut, her steps hesitant yet curious. The morning sun shone down on her, warming her bare skin and casting a golden hue on the dusty earth.

As they walked, Lisa marveled at the sheer beauty of the landscape. Tall trees swayed gently in the breeze, their leaves rustling softly as if whispering secrets. Wildflowers bloomed amidst the grass, their vibrant colors standing out against the lush greenery.

"There you are, Kikaya," the tribesman said, gesturing towards a group of women gathered around a large tree. "They're waiting for you."

Lisa's heart skipped a beat. This was it. She was finally going to meet the other women of the tribe.

A knot of nervousness twisted in her gut, and she instinctively reached for the comforting thought of David but realized he was miles away.

"Oh, thank goodness you're here," a bubbly voice chirped. "We've got tons of work to do!"

Lisa surveyed the group of women. They were varied in age, from young girls just entering puberty to women around her age in their twenties . Their expressions ranged from curiosity to outright hostility.

Some stared at her with wide-eyed fascination, while others simply ignored her presence altogether. The air was thick with tension, and Lisa felt a rush of adrenaline coursing through her veins.

"Hi, everyone," she called out hesitantly, her voice wobbling slightly. "My name's Li…” she paused remembering her tribal name “… Kikaya, and I'm new here. Nice to meet you all!"

"Welcome, Kikaya," a kind-looking woman spoke up, her voice warm and inviting.

"We're glad to have you join us today."

Lisa smiled gratefully, relieved to find a friendly face among the crowd. "Thank you," she replied, her voice soft and appreciative. "I'm looking forward to learning more about your tribe and getting to know each of you."

The women exchanged glances, their faces betraying a mix of curiosity and apprehension. Despite the uneasiness, a tentative smile broke out on one of the younger girl's faces.

"Let's start splitting up the tasks," she suggested cheerily, breaking the ice. "What would you like to do, Kikaya?"

"Well," Lisa began, biting her lip nervously, "I don't exactly know what I can help with yet. Maybe you guys can guide me along, show me the ropes?"

The women nodded, acknowledging her request, their faces showing genuine warmth. "Sure, why don't you join us in collecting firewood?" a motherly looking woman proposed.

"The men are busy tending to their needs," she continued, gesturing towards an area dense with foliage. "It's best if we stick together," she advised, her tone soothing and considerate.

Lisa nodded, her heart swelling with gratitude. "Great idea," she responded eagerly, her voice laced with appreciation. "I'm happy to lend a helping hand wherever I can."

The women dispersed, moving to collect firewood in groups of two or three. Lisa found herself walking alongside the motherly woman who had spoken earlier.

The woman introduced herself as Wambui, and explained that she was one of the elder members of the tribe. Together, they moved towards the designated area, where the other women were already gathering firewood.

"Wambui," Lisa began, her voice hesitant but eager, "Can you tell me more about the tribe and its customs? I'm genuinely interested in learning everything there is to know."

Wambui looked at her with a knowing smile, her eyes twinkling with wisdom. "Of course, dear," she agreed, her voice warm and comforting.

"Our tribe has a rich history of unity and cooperation. We live in harmony with nature, respecting the land and each other. Our customs and traditions have been passed down through generations, with elders teaching the younger ones the ways of our ancestors."

Lisa hung on Wambui's every word, captivated by the depth and richness of the tribe's history. They collected firewood, working side by side with the other women. As they worked, the other women gradually warmed up to Lisa, engaging her in conversations and asking questions about her past.

They laughed and joked, sharing stories about their lives and experiences within the tribe. Lisa soaked up every detail, her heart swelling with affection for these remarkable women.

"Kikaya," Wambui chimed in, her voice soft and gentle, "have you ever seen a sunrise over the savannah? Truly breathtaking."

Lisa shook her head, her eyes widening in wonder. "No, I haven't," she replied eagerly. "But I'd love to witness such a spectacle.

Just then a man walked up to one of the women bent over picking up fire wood and casually pulled his huge dick out and pushed it into the woman, she gasped and smiled laughing and pushing back at the surprised but not unwanted act of sex!

"Wait a minute," Lisa exclaimed, her eyes widening in shock. "Isn't that…?"

"Don't worry," Wambui assured her, her voice calm and soothing. "That's part of our daily routine. This isn't a public display of affection; it's just a casual encounter. It strengthens the bonds between the tribeswomen and helps unite the community."

Lisa frowned, still confused.
“Un unified women are not claimed by a tribesman and so are available to make babies with any man that sees fit to take them” Wambui explained.

Lisa felt her stomach churn at the thought of being used as a sexual object. But she reminded herself that this was their custom, their way of life. She forced a smile and listened as Wambui listed other rules and norms of the tribe.

"Now, let's go prepare dinner," Wambui announced, snapping them both out of their thoughtful silence. "We've got plenty of work to do."

Lisa watched as women of all ages gathered around large wooden bowls, chopping vegetables and seasoning the meat.

Each tribe member played a crucial role in maintaining the communal feast that would soon follow. They hummed and sang as they prepared the meals, turning the mundane task into a joyous celebration of their unity.

"Kikaya," Wambui called out, motioning for her to join the preparations. "Why don't you try your hand at grinding these spices?"

Lisa obliged, her fingers grazing the coarse grains of salt and pepper. She wondered how her life would change upon returning home.

Would she ever feel the same closeness with David, or would the memories of her time in the tribe haunt her, forever altering the fabric of their relationship?

Lisa glanced over at Wambui, her gaze locked on the distant horizon. The wind danced with the trees, creating a rhythmic symphony that seemed to echo the heartbeat of their souls. In that moment, she felt a strange kinship with the tribeswoman she had become - a bond forged by shared experiences and a commonality of spirit.

As she ground the spices, a pang of longing surged through her heart - a longing for freedom, for a return to the world she knew, yet also a longing for this wild, untamed existence.

"How long have you lived in this tribe?" Lisa asked Wambui, her voice low and hushed.

Wambui sighed, her eyes misting over as she gazed at the savannah beyond. "All my life," she answered softly, her voice trembling.

"I was born here, and I plan to die here. My soul belongs to this land, to this tribe."

Lisa furrowed her brow, her confusion mounting. "But why would anyone choose to stay in such a remote place? Do you have no yearning to explore the world?"

Wambui shrugged, her gaze never wavering from the horizon. "We have everything we need right here," she said, her voice matter-of-fact. "We hunt, gather, and grow our own food. We use natural resources to create tools and clothing and bare many children to keep the tribe strong” Wambui explained.

Lisa stared blankly at nothing in particular, her mind swimming with questions that threatened to suffocate her. "How do you cope with the isolation?" she ventured, her voice cracking slightly. "How do you maintain your sanity?"

Wambui offered her a reassuring smile, her gaze fixed on the horizon. "You get used to it," she said plainly. "Life here is simple, straightforward - free from the complications of modern society.

There's something incredibly liberating about living off the land, being connected to a place," Wambui mused, her voice trailing off as she gazed wistfully at the horizon.

Her words resonated deeply within Lisa, stirring feelings of restlessness and longing. The desire to break free from the confines of civilization had begun to gnaw at her soul, threatening to consume her.

"Have you ever thought about escaping?" Lisa asked, her voice low and urgent.

“Never, as tribeswoman it is our duty to serve the needs of the tribe” Wambui explained with pride.

Lisa couldn't suppress a shudder at the thought of spending her entire life confined to the confines of the tribe. "And what about love?" she challenged, her voice shaking slightly. "Don't you miss companionship, the connection with someone truly special?"

Wambui tilted her head, studying Lisa closely. "Companionship comes in many forms," she said thoughtfully. "We share a collective bond here, united by our commitment to the tribe's survival. And if a man picks you to be United with there will be plenty of love” Wambui blushed.

.

Lisa flinched, her heart pounding erratically in her chest. A sudden sense of unease washed over her, threatening to drown her in a sea of panic. How could she possibly embrace this newfound lifestyle? The thought of being chosen by a stranger, of surrendering control over her own desires, filled her with dread.

Still, she managed to suppress her reservations, forcing a smile and nodding politely. "I appreciate your perspective, Wambui," she said, her voice steady despite the turmoil raging inside her. She thought of David for the first time in awhile that day. How could she tell the tribes men she was already taken. They would not understand her and David’s marriage!

What if they chose her to breed with, what would happen to their relationship?

As the afternoon sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows across the savannah, the tribe began preparing for the evening feast. Women bustled about, setting the table with plates, utensils, and freshly cooked dishes. Children chased each other in playful abandon, squealing with delight as they ran circles around the adults.

Their laughter echoed through the quiet evening, mingling with the soft crackle of firewood burning in the communal bonfire. The scent of freshly cooked food wafted through the air, enticing even the most reluctant nose with its tantalizing aroma.

"Hey, Kikaya," a cheerful voice called out, startling Lisa from her daydream. "You're needed over there!"

Lisa glanced up, her gaze landing on a young woman with piercing green eyes and a wide grin. "Alright," she mumbled, pushing aside her lingering doubts.

"I'm coming."

With a heavy sigh, Lisa reluctantly left Wambui's side and headed toward the commotion. As she approached the center of the festivities, she couldn't help but notice the constant ebb and flow of bodies around her. Couples embraced, laughing and chatting, seemingly oblivious to the world around them.

The contrast between her own solitude and the intimacy shared by the others struck her like a punch to the gut. Each moment spent in this tribe seemed to amplify her loneliness, making her ache for the comfort of David's arms.

She wandered aimlessly through the crowd, hoping to find some semblance of normalcy in the chaos surrounding her.

"Come on, Kikaya," a burly tribesman urged, his voice gruff but kindly. "You must join us in the dancing."

Lisa though about some of the lessons Wambui had taught her earlier. Rarely should she ever deny a tribesman’s request. “Ok” she replied joining the dance.

Soon Lisa was swept up in the whirlwind of energetic movements and infectious melodies. The drums pulsed, vibrating through the ground, and into her bones. The dancers moved in perfect synchronicity, their arms weaving intricate patterns as they spun and swirled around the fire. Despite her initial reluctance, Lisa found herself drawn into the circle, unable to resist the magnetic pull of the tribe's unity.

Chief Kwame stood atop a raised platform, watching the festivities unfold with a mischievous glint in his eye.

He caught sight of Lisa, her radiant beauty unmistakable amid the crowd. The way she moved, so graceful and confident, stirred a forbidden hunger within him.

"Lisa," he murmured under his breath, his lips curling into a sinister smirk. "You won't escape me so easily."

He dismissed the thought, focusing instead on the dance before him. The music reached a feverish pitch, driving the dancers to frenzied heights. Lisa was lost in the swirling mass, her body swaying hypnotically to the rhythm.

She allowed herself to surrender to the music, letting it wash over her like a tidal wave. Her eyes scanned the crowd, taking in the faces of those around her. They were all so carefree, so uninhibited, it made her question her own self-control.

"Kikaya," a deep voice boomed, pulling her from her trance. She turned to see the burly tribesman from earlier, his features obscured by flickering shadows. "Come closer, my friend.

Let's enjoy this feast together," the burly tribesman said, his eyes twinkling mischievously.

Lisa hesitated, her pulse quickening at the prospect of participating in such an intimate ritual. Nevertheless, she took a step forward, allowing herself to be guided deeper into the throng.

The heat of the growing crowd enveloped her, the bodies pressing close enough to steal the breath from her lungs. Still, she persisted, driven by an insatiable curiosity and a thirst for belonging.

Embracing the unknown, she joined the dance, her lithe form cutting through the crowd like a blade through water. The intoxicating energy of the gathering consumed her, drawing her deeper into the throbbing heart of the tribe.

"Kikaya," the burly tribesman whispered. "Embrace the dance."

With a nod, she surrendered herself to the movement, her hips swinging in time with the thrumming drumbeat. The sensual rhythm sent a jolt of electricity coursing through her veins, awakening primal instincts she hadn't known existed.

She danced.

The familiar weight of the beads draped over her body, clinging to her sweaty skin. The humid air was heavy with the scent of burning firewood and exotic spices. The intoxicating blend of aromas permeated her nostrils, leaving her craving deeper connections with her surroundings.

"Kikaya," the burly tribesman growled in her ear, his hot breath fanning her neck. "Look at me."

Lisa's gaze fluttered open, locking onto the intense stare of the burly tribesman.

His eyes burned with raw desire, the heat of his gaze melting her defenses and stoking the flames of her lust.

"I want you, Kikaya," he rasped, his voice barely audible above the cacophony of the festivities. "Show me your true passion."

With a trembling nod, Lisa leaned in close, her breath mingling with his in a sultry dance of anticipation.

Their lips brushed lightly, sending sparks of pleasure rippling through their bodies. The burly tribesman groaned, his fingers tightening around her waist.

His scent—a potent mixture of sweat and exotic spices—was intoxicating, clouding her judgment and fueling her desire.

"Give yourself to me, Kikaya," he pleaded, his voice hoarse with desperation. "Let me explore your deepest fantasies."

Lisa's heart raced, her body humming with anticipation. The forbidden nature of their interaction made her blood run hot, and she wanted more than anything to indulge in the carnal pleasure he promised.

"I—I can't," she stammered, her voice quivering.

"I'm married."

Before she could protest further, the burly tribesman cupped her chin, tilting her face upward. His expression was hardened, ruthless. "In this tribe, Kikaya," he declared, his voice cold and stern, "you belong to all of us. We share our wives, our daughters, our lovers as long as they have not partook in the unity ceremony "

"No," she whimpered, her voice weak. "Please, spare me. There must be another way."

He narrowed his eyes, his jaw clenching tightly. The he looked up at the chief glaring at him, “kikaya, We don’t have to make babies to experience the oneness with the tribe, feel my member and let your Heart and body guide you” reasoned the tribes man.

Lisa's knees buckled beneath her, and it required all her strength to stand firm. With every passing second, the temptation grew stronger, her resolve weakening. She struggled to recall reasons why she shouldn't submit to the pleasurable sensation offered by the tribal man. But the seductive promises of instant gratification seeped into her consciousness, and her rationality evaporated, replaced by raw desire.

"Ok," she murmured weakly, her voice strained.

The burly tribesman advanced, his eyes ablaze with lust.

With shaking hands Lisa reached out and grabbed the tribesman’s massive member, it was thicker than her wrist and she had to wrap both hands around it!

She squeezed gently then harder, feeling a thrill race through her as he let out a low groan.

"Take me," she whispered hoarsely, her voice barely audible against the raucous din of the party. "I'm yours."

His cock hardened even more in her grasp, pulsing with an almost painful intensity. He pulled her close, their bodies pressed intimately against each other. His lips found hers, and they kissed passionately, greedily, their tongues entwining like vines seeking nourishment.

“We consider our seed sacred and must not be spilled idly, if you are not ready to make babies with me you must take it in your mouth” the tribesman explained between heavy kisses.

Without hesitation, Lisa wrapped her fingers around the base of his shaft and brought it to her lips. Her heart pounded ferociously in her chest, and she felt a strange combination of fear and exhilaration. She didn't know if she was ready for this, but she couldn't resist the promise of forbidden pleasure.

Lisa opened her mouth wide, and the tribesman thrust his shaft between her lips. She tasted saltiness, a hint of muskiness, and the unfamiliar texture was far rougher than she expected. Yet somehow, it only heightened her arousal.

The taste, the texture, the sheer size of it, were alien to her, but the knowledge that she was pleasuring someone else was thrilling. As she sucked and licked, her throat constricting around the thick shaft, she imagined David's reaction if he saw her now. The taboo nature of her actions made her feel wildly alive, a sense of liberation washing over her besides what did she care about the opinions of a non tribe member.

The tribesman groaned loudly, his hands tangling in her hair, guiding her movements. He thrust deeper, filling her mouth, and she struggled to breathe.

The thick length of his erection stretched her lips apart, causing her cheeks to puff outwards. His moans intensified and she could hear the wet suction sounds of her mouth sliding along his cock. She tried to relax, but her throat tightened around it, and tears formed in her eyes. She feared she might choke, but her mind was clouded with arousal, and she continued sucking him.

"Oh, Kikaya" he moaned, gripping her hair tightly. "Your lips feel so good."

The tribesman moaned, squeezing Lisa's head tighter. "I've never experienced any one this skilled before."

"Neither have I," Lisa responded honestly, her voice muffled by his cock.

“I’m ready, take my seed into your body, kikaya!” The tribesman groaned.

, his grip tightening on her hair.

Lisa sucked him, her throat convulsing around his throbbing cock. The taste of him, the musky smell, it was overwhelming. She closed her eyes, imagining David fucking her as she blew a complete stranger. She loved David, but she was enjoying this too much. What would he think if he knew his loving wife was sucking off a man old enough to be her father?

"Kikaya," the tribesman groaned, his grip tightening on her hair.

"I'm ready. Take my seed into your body."

Lisa released his cock from her mouth, her lips swollen and red. She swallowed hard, tasting the remnants of him on her tongue. Her heart thundered in her chest, the anticipation building with each passing second.

"Do you trust me?" the tribesman asked, his gaze intense and unwavering.

Lisa nodded, her voice catching in her throat. "Yes," she croaked, her voice hoarse. She expertly sucked the tip of his cock pumping it with both hands. Waiting to feel his hot seed down her hungry throat!

The tribesman gripped her shoulders firmly, his breathing becoming shallower and more labored. “Kikaya!”he shouted pouring his seed down Lisa’s eager mouth!

Lisa choked on the warm load, swallowing reflexively. Lisa was rewarded with a groan of satisfaction from the man. His cum tasted salty with a slight sweetness, better than she had expected. She had never considered giving a blowjob before, but now she understood why men enjoyed it so much.

"Kikaya," the tribesman breathed heavily, his cock softening in her mouth. "Thank you. That was incredible."

Lisa coughed, her throat feeling dry and scratchy. She released his cock from her mouth, looking up at him with a half-smile.

"I'm glad you enjoyed it," she said, her voice still hoarse from the intense oral encounter. "I've never done anything like that before."

He chuckled, running a calloused finger over her cheek. "It's okay, Kikaya," he assured her. "I believe that in this tribe, we are all brothers and sisters."

"That's true," she agreed, her voice softer now. The full weight of what she had just done had not hit her yet as her body pumped with adrenaline and hormones making her a complete horny mess.

She stood there, the taste of cum still lingering on her tongue. Her body ached in ways she had never experienced before, a deep longing spreading through her core.

"You sure you're alright?" said the burly tribesman, his voice low and soothing. He placed a comforting hand on her shoulder, his touch gentle yet firm.

"Yeah," she murmured, trying to clear her mind. "Just feeling a bit lightheaded, I guess."

He nodded, his gaze thoughtful.

"Well, Kikaya," he finally spoke, his voice calm and reassuring, "let's get you back to your hut. We can lay down together, and you can rest."

Lisa felt her anxiety melt away, her muscles relaxing as she followed the burly tribesman to her hut. She noticed a few curious glances from the other villagers, but she pushed them aside, focusing on the warmth of the tribesman's hand on her arm.

Once inside her hut, the burly tribesman helped Lisa lie down on the woven mats covering the floor. And offered her another herbal drink.

Lisa hesitated for a moment, the tension between them palpable. She glanced nervously at the burly tribesman, whose gaze remained locked on her. "Are you sure?" she asked, her voice trembling slightly.

"Of course," he assured her, his tone soothing. "This medicine will help replenish your energies and heal your body."

Lisa nodded, taking the mug carefully in her hands. "Thank you," she murmured, her voice soft. She took a careful sip, wincing slightly at the bitter taste.
