Chapter 28: The Confession
The bus swung hard, a violent correction that threw the whole cabin sideways. Naina's hand, still tangled in Nirav's, gave her no purchase. She rolled off the thin mattress strip and landed on him, her breasts flattening against his chest, her thighs sliding down his body before wedging against the hard ridge of his cock through his jeans.
Nirav's hands flew to her waist by instinct, fingers digging into the bare skin beneath her night dress. He held her there, frozen, his breath sharp against her hair.
"Careful," he managed.
The bus straightened. The couple above them groaned, somewhere at the edge of their own climax.
Naina's heartbeat slammed against her ribs. She could feel every inch of him beneath her, the heat of his body through the thin fabric, the way his fingers had not yet loosened their grip on her waist.
"Your question," he said, voice low. "What was in my pocket."
His breath stilled against her skin. The bus swayed, and the distance between them stayed close enough that she felt the shift in his body, a tension pulled taut.
"A condom," he said. Low. Honest. "I brought it for an emergency. I never planned to use it. But somewhere along the way it got lost. I'm not sure if I dropped it somewhere."
Nirav didn't pull away. Instead, he shifted slightly, his hips tilting up into her, making the hard length of his cock press more firmly against her heat. He looked up at her, his eyes dark and searching.
"My turn," he murmured. "Did you find it?"
Naina froze, the air leaving her lungs. Her mind flashed back to the small foil packet she'd discovered on her apartment floor, the one she'd concealed before his departure. The secret felt heavy, a physical weight between them.
"Yes," she whispered, her voice barely audible over the hum of the engine.
A slow, knowing look crossed Nirav's face. The mask of the innocent, helpful friend finally cracked, revealing the hunger he had been suppressing. He didn't move to force her, but his grip on her waist tightened, pulling her a fraction closer.
"So we were both lying back then," he said, his voice dropping to a rougher, more dangerous tone. "No point in pretending anymore, is there?"
He paused, his gaze dropping to her lips and then back to her eyes, giving her every chance to pull away.
Naina felt a wave of heat crash over her. The honesty of the moment was more erotic than any touch. She stayed pinned to him, her breath coming in short, shallow gasps.
The tension became unbearable, a thick, suffocating cloud of desire. Naina knew she was on the edge, and the thought of falling was terrifying and exhilarating. She needed to breathe, to find a way to navigate this without completely losing herself in the heat.
She shifted, pushing herself up slightly off his chest, her palm skimming his sternum as she found the mattress. She straightened the night dress over her hips and settled onto her side of the berth, though the strip of space between them felt far too wide.
Naina wanted to keep it light. Bring the wheels back to control before the fire consumed them both.
"Your turn," she said, her voice regaining a bit of its playful edge. "What do you want to know?"
The lightness returned, a fragile shield against what had passed between them. They traded questions, small and teasing. First kiss. Worst date. Who made the first move in her relationship.
"Aarav did," she said. "Though I like to think I would have gotten there."
Another question about turn-ons. Another about awkward first times. The air stayed warm but manageable, the shadows soft.
Nirav rolled onto his side, propping his head on his hand. He watched her with a intensity that didn't match the lightness of the conversation.
"I've always wondered," he said, his voice sliding into a more intimate territory. "Do you think you're as innocent as you pretend to be? Or do you just have a very high standard for who gets to see the other side?"
Naina felt a flush creep up her neck. "Maybe I just know how to keep a secret."
"Secrets are only fun if they're shared eventually," he countered. "Like the condom. Or the way you're looking at me right now."
Naina shifted, sitting up slightly as the shift in his tone pulled her in, her eyes searching his. She decided to lean into the tension, testing the waters of his desire.
"Have you ever fantasized about anyone other than your wife? During the marriage?"
"Once or twice. Not anyone specific. Just, someone who wanted things the way I did." He paused. "Your turn."
Naina shook her head. "It's your question."
He rolled onto his side, propping his head on his hand. In the dim light, his eyes found hers.
"Have you ever fantasized about anyone other than your husband?"
"No."
The word came out too fast, too sharp.
"Honesty rule," he said.
"I am being honest. I haven't. Not once. It never even crossed my mind until all this started."
He studied her. "Fantasies aren't wrong. They're not a sin. It's just another way of keeping your kinks alive. Of knowing yourself. Of helping your appetite"
"Is that what you tell yourself?"
"I don't need to tell myself anything. I know what I want."
Naina shifted, sitting up slightly as the shift in his tone pulled her in, her eyes searching his. "What's the one thing you still want to try? With yours being that huge," she murmured, the words slipping out with a playful, breathless quality.
His mouth curved into a slow, knowing smirk. He didn't miss a beat, his voice dropping an octave. "Which one is huge, exactly?"
Naina paused, realizing the direction his mind had jumped. She felt a flush creep up her neck, but she didn't look away. "Your appetite," she said firmly, though a small, knowing smile played on her lips.
He chuckled, the sound low and vibrating in his chest, the misunderstanding lingering between them like a spark. They both smiled, a silent acknowledgment of the tension thickening the air.
He stretched out, arms folding behind his head, his muscles flexing beneath his skin. "Up until now, I wanted to make her come in an under-construction building. At night. No walls, no roof, just the open sky and the city below. I used to think about it constantly. The risk of being seen. The cold, rough concrete against her back. The way her voice would echo through the empty floors."
She cleared her throat, her breathing becoming shallow. "And what's your fantasy now?"
His eyes moved from her face to her throat, where her pulse beat rapidly just below the skin. He traced the line of her collarbone with his gaze, then lower, where the night dress had slipped off her shoulder, exposing her pale skin. He looked at the curve of her breasts straining against the thin fabric, the hard, visible outline of her nipples peaking through, the soft swell of her belly, and the dark, inviting patch between her thighs barely hidden by the sheer material.
He catalogued each inch of her like a map he intended to memorize and conquer.
Naina's skin prickled under the weight of his attention, her nipples hardening further as she felt his hunger.
He crawled closer, slow and deliberate, like a predator closing in on its prey. His breath ghosted across her face, warm and near enough to taste. His eyes met hers, dark, serious, and filled with an explicit promise.
"It's my turn to question."
