A steamy romance happening during a business trip.

Chapter 1: Introduction

The air in the dimly lit bar felt thick with desire, with every stranger's glance and hushed whisper carrying beneath its surface. Some Sundays were meant for this – ice-cold whisky, solitude, shadows. But tonight, destiny had other plans.

Long Li, a tall, sharp-featured man with eyes like molten water, glided into the bar with the grace of a panther. His crisp white shirt practically shone under a jade-green neon sign above the bar.

Long sat down on the stool, stirring his whisky and observing the room. A woman, Lily Winston, caught his attention – an exquisite creature with short blonde hair, a toned physique, and a pair of mesmerizing green eyes.

She was sitting alone at a table, occasionally glancing at her phone with an expression of pure boredom. Long nodded to the bartender, who discreetly sent a waiter over to Lily. Long signaled the waiter to get her a glass of Chardonnay.

Intrigued by her beauty and nonchalant demeanor, Long took a deep breath and made his way over. Lily looked up just as he approached, offering him a smile that sparked his pulse.

"I couldn't help but notice your eyes from across the room," Long admitted, extending his hand.

Lily glanced up to acknowledge him, the corner of her mouth curling slightly into a grin. She hesitated, then offered her hand for a brief shake. "You're the one who keeps interrupting my solitude."

Her voice was warm and smooth, like silk sliding over his skin. Long chuckled lightly and took a seat at her table. The waiter returned with her glass of Chardonnay, and Long waited for her to take a sip before speaking again.

"I'm often drawn to these small pockets of solitude when I travel. It gives me a moment to collect my thoughts and clear my head."

Lily nodded, swirling her wine around in the glass. "It's an important skill to hone, especially in a job like mine. It allows me to focus and make decisions more effectively."

Lily's gaze flicked back to him, and she leaned in, intrigued. "What sort of decisions do you make during your travels? Anything exciting?"

Long's eyes gleamed. "I've closed a few business deals in the most unexpected places, yes. But I didn't mean business. I was thinking more along the lines of – how shall I put this – romantic encounters?"

Her eyes widened. "Romantic encounters? Are we talking about the spontaneous sort?"

Long smiled. "Indeed. I've found that travel can spark a certain kind of connection between strangers that doesn't happen in our everyday lives."

Lily leaned back, taking a sip of her wine. "That's true. The idea of finding love or even lust in a new city – or even a different country – is exhilarating.

It's the thrill of the unknown, the danger of the forbidden, that lights a fire within Long. And when it comes to romantic encounters, he has a particular preference.

"When I say 'romantic encounters,'" Long explains, his voice low and smooth, "I mean those that are wild, passionate, and entirely uninhibited. The kind that leave you breathless, unable to think, and only wanting more."

Lily's eyes widen, her heart pounding in her chest. She's never heard such candid words before, and they send a shiver down her spine.

"I've always been curious about those kinds of experiences," she confesses, her voice barely above a whisper. "But I've never quite dared to explore them myself."

Long leans in closer, his gaze locked onto hers, "How daring are you today?"
