Chapter 2: Building Tension

The elevator ride to Long's hotel room was a symphony of anticipation and restraint. Lily's heart pounded in her chest like a metronome, each beat echoing the rhythm of her thoughts. She stole a glance at Long, his reflection in the polished brass doors revealing a man of quiet confidence, his eyes smoldering with desire. Each floor they passed was a step further into the unknown, the numbers ascending like a countdown to their inevitable encounter.

Long's suite was a sanctuary of opulence, a testament to his success and taste.

The door clicked shut behind them, the sound echoing through the spacious room. Long hugged her from behind, his arms wrapping around her waist, and they lingered in the entryway, enjoying each other's warmth and scent. She could feel his breath on her neck, hot and tantalizing, sending shivers down her spine.

"You smell incredible," Long murmured, his voice like velvet against her ear. "Like a summer's day in a field of wildflowers." Lily let out a soft laugh, her body relaxing into his embrace. "Is that so? I'll have to remember to wear this perfume more often." Long spun her around to face him, his hands cupping her cheeks. "You should wear it every day," he said, his thumbs stroking her skin. "But I don't want you to think I'm only interested in your scent." He leaned in, brushing his lips softly against hers.

It was a gentle kiss, a promise of what was to come. Their lips met, exploring each other tentatively at first, then with increasing urgency. His hands, strong and sure, pulled her closer, molding her body against his. Her hands found their way to his chest, feeling the hard muscles beneath his shirt. Their kiss deepened, becoming more intense, their tongues dancing together in a rhythm as old as time. She could feel his heart pounding in sync with hers, his breath coming in ragged gasps.

His hands roamed down her back, cupping her ass and pulling her even closer. She could feel something hard pressing against her nether regions, igniting a fire within her. She moaned into his mouth, her body aching for more.

Just as their passion reached fever pitch, Long's phone rang, shattering the moment.

"Fuck," Long muttered, pulling away from Lily. He glanced at the caller ID, his expression growing serious. "I'm sorry, Lily, I have to take this. It's business."

"Of course," Lily replied, her voice barely above a whisper. She took a step back, straightening her clothes, and tried to regain her composure. The interruption had pulled them both back into reality, and she found herself questioning the wisdom of her actions. This was, after all, the first time she was being intimate with someone she had just met.

Long answered the call, his voice becoming all business. He paced around the room, his back to Lily, murmuring into the phone. She watched him, her eyes tracing the lines of his body, her heart still pounding from their encounter. But the spell was broken, and she found herself second-guessing her earlier enthusiasm.
