Chapter 9: Soaking in Supremacy

The private onsen was a cocoon of heat and hushed sound. Steam rose in thick, coiling tendrils from the water’s surface, pearling on the cedar ceiling before falling back as a fine, warm mist. The air smelled of mineral salts and the faint, sweet almond oil rubbed into their skin. Lanterns cast a soft, wavering glow, painting the massive, shifting shapes in the water with liquid gold.

Getting them into the pool had been a logistical operation. Mina and Hana, now expert in the physics of their bodies, had guided them down the specially widened steps, their hands steadying trembling, colossal thighs. The water, when it finally accepted them, did so with a violent, sloshing wave that crashed against the far wall and soaked the stone floor.

Sakura now occupied the center, a behemoth of soft pink and pale flesh. The buoyant water lifted her, but only just. Her stomach, a truly monumental dome of taut, cream-colored fat, broke the surface like a risen moon. It floated, obscenely large, with the deep, dark chasm of her navel a still pool atop it. Her breasts, harnessed even for this, rested heavily on the shelf of her belly, the tops of them glistening above the waterline. She let out a long, shuddering sigh of relief as the heat seeped into her aching joints.

Ino clung to the tiled edge a few feet away, her own impressive form rendered almost petite by comparison. The water lapped at the heavy, smooth curves of her shoulders and the spectacular swell of her bosom. Her own belly, a firm, rounded prominence, was submerged, but the vast, outward sweep of her hips created a wide shelf on either side of her waist.

“Gods, I needed this,” Sakura murmured, her voice echoing softly in the humid space. She lifted a ponderous arm, the flesh of her triceps swinging softly, and watched water cascade from her fingertips.

“You needed it,” Ino retorted, a playful edge in her voice. “My back’s been singing hymns all day. That chaise is starting to feel like a wooden bench.” She shifted, trying to find a better position, and the water swirled around her. Her eyes, sharp and blue even in the steam, were fixed on Sakura. “Let me see.”

“See what?”

“Your legs. The new ones.”

A faint, smug smile touched Sakura’s lips. With a grunt of effort, she kicked. It wasn’t a graceful motion. It was a slow, colossal heave that sent another small tsunami across the pool and made Ino grip the edge tighter. Sakura’s right leg rose, a pale pillar of fat breaking the surface with a loud splash. Water streamed down the sheer, staggering mass of her thigh, over the knee which had all but disappeared into the softness above and below it, and down the dense calf.

Ino leaned forward, squinting. “Wow.”

Crisscrossing the inner and outer landscape of Sakura’s thigh were a dozen silvery lines. They were fresh, still faintly pink at the edges, a sprawling web of testament. Some were short and fierce, others long, graceful arcs that followed the insane curve of her hip. Each one marked a point where her skin, pushed beyond any limit she had once imagined, had surrendered and split to make room for more of her.

“I lost count at fifteen,” Ino said, her tone a mix of awe and professional assessment. “Just on that one quadrant. They’re like battle scars.”

“They’re receipts,” Sakura corrected, lowering her leg with a final, wasteful slap against the water. The resulting wave soaked Ino’s hair. “Every single one.” As she settled, a deep, internal shift occurred. A series of large, airy bubbles escaped from beneath her, rising to break the surface in a prolonged, frothy burst between her submerged cheeks. The vibrations thrummed through the warm water, a submarine tremor felt by everyone in the pool. Sakura didn’t blush. She closed her eyes, savoring the release.

Mina and Hana knelt by the pool’s edge like attentive nymphs. Hana held a lacquered tray of delicate, syrup-drenched pastries. Mina held a pitcher of chilled, honeyed milk.

“Lady Sakura?” Hana prompted softly.

Sakura opened her mouth, a wordless demand. Hana leaned out, carefully placing a dripping pastry onto Sakura’s waiting tongue. Sakura closed her lips, chewing slowly, a low hum of pleasure rumbling in her throat. A trickle of syrup escaped the corner of her mouth and traced a path through the sheen of sweat and steam on her chin.

Ino watched, her competitive fire simmering. She accepted a deep drink of milk from a cup Mina held to her lips, swallowing with a loud gulp. “My hips are tighter,” she stated, as if discussing a business strategy. She ran her own hands down the sublime, wide curves that flared from her waist. “The skin feels… fuller. I think I’m gaining in a different pattern. More lateral.”

“You’re just building a better foundation,” Sakura said, her eyes still closed. Another, smaller puff of bubbles fizzed from her below the water. “You’ll need it.”

“For what?”

Sakura’s green eyes opened. They held a depth of resigned, proud knowledge. “For when you can’t see your own feet either. For when getting out of this pool will take three maids and a pulley. For when a single fart shakes the windows.” She said it calmly, a statement of inevitable fact. “You’re counting my stretch marks, Ino. You’re still keeping score. I’ve stopped counting. That’s the difference.”

The truth of it hung in the steam. Ino’s enthusiasm was a burning flame. Sakura’s was now the slow, relentless creep of lava, consuming everything in its path without fanfare.

Hana offered another pastry. Sakura ate it. Then another. The water around her quivered with each slight movement of her jaw, each swallow that sent a new payload down to the already crammed warehouse of her gut.

Ino stared, her earlier smugness replaced by a dawning, hungry realization. She wasn’t jealous of the marks. She was jealous of the totality. The absolute surrender.

“Mina,” Ino said, her voice low. “The grilled eel and rice. The large portion. Bring it here.”

Mina’s eyes widened slightly. “Here, my lady? To the bath?”

“He likes the smell,” Ino said, casting a glance toward the entrance, as if Naruto might appear. “And I’m hungry now.”

As Mina scurried off, Ino pushed herself away from the wall, paddling slowly through the thick, milky water toward Sakura. She stopped close, their bodies not touching, but the heat they radiated mingling. She looked at the planet of Sakura’s stomach, at the serene, closed face.

“You’ve won that round,” Ino conceded quietly.

Sakura’s hand rose from the water, a dripping, weighty thing. She placed it on the crown of her own floating belly. A deep, rolling gurgle answered the touch, a sound felt more than heard. “It’s not a race you win, Ino. It’s a pit you dig. And you just keep digging.”

The smell of sizzling, sweet eel sauce soon cut through the mineral air. Mina returned, bearing a covered bowl. She knelt, and with a pair of long chopsticks, began feeding Ino bite after bite of the rich, fatty eel and sticky rice. Ino ate with a new, focused intensity, her eyes locked on Sakura’s immense, floating form.

Sakura, for her part, drifted. She was a continent adrift in a warm sea. The sounds of Ino’s eager chewing, the lap of water, the distant hum of the residence—it all faded. She was alone with the massive, breathing reality of herself. She felt a pressure building, deep, a consequence of the water’s warmth and the pastries’ weight.

She didn’t fight it. She relaxed.

It began as a low, internal tremor, a gathering of forces. Then it escaped, a violent, pressurized eruption from beneath the water. The sound was a blunt, booming THRUUUP that echoed off the stone walls. The water around her lower half churned and frothed visibly. A large, singular bubble burst on the surface, followed by several smaller, frantic ones. The smell, intensely organic and ripe, bloomed in the steam, undeniable.

Ino stopped chewing, her mouth full. She didn’t wrinkle her nose. She watched, fascinated, as the aftermath of the cataclysm settled around Sakura’ blissful, unconcerned face.

Hana quietly set down her tray. Mina continued feeding Ino, her expression serene.

Sakura finally opened her eyes. She looked at Ino, at the bowl of eel, at her own body that now commanded even the elements. “See?” she whispered, the word barely audible over the gentle lap of water. “No score. Just fact.”

Ino swallowed her food. She took a long, slow breath, inhaling the complex, humid air. A fierce, excited smile spread across her face. “Okay,” she said. She opened her mouth for another bite. “Okay.”

The feast continued in the water. The heat soaked into their bones, into the layers of fat, making them pliant, heavy, utterly satiated. The rivalry was not gone. It had simply submerged, becoming as deep and inevitable as the pool they floated in. It was no longer about who was bigger. It was about who could become more utterly, profoundly, unimaginably massive. And as the lantern light flickered on the swirling steam and the rippling water, the answer, for both of them, seemed to be a promise written in the very lines on their skin.

They would never stop digging.
