Chapter 2: Building Tension
Lynn wakes up and stretches out. She can't not believe how much fun she had or how right she feels getting things off her chest. Also, she dreamed of Jesse and that kiss. She can still feel it as she touches her lips and smiles. "God, I have not been kissed or held like that for so long." Lynn says as she gets in the shower to start her Sunday. Still thinking about that kiss and the way he held her and just listened. No advice, no this how to fix it, no judgment. She gets out of the shower and gets dressed in a pair of ripped jeans and a white tank top. She looks at her self in the mirror. She smiles and says fuck it. She calls up Jesse.
Jesse picks up the phone. "Hi Jesse, it is Lynn from last night, can we have breakfast at the IHOP?" Jesse replies, "Give me 30 min to shower and shave and I will see you there." Jesse's says and Lynn can tell he is excited to see her.
Lynn, walks by Jason, "Hey, what is for breakfast" Jason ask bewildered. "Breakfast is what ever you make or eat, I am going out for breakfast." Lynn says as she closed the door and head to IHOP.
As she get to IHOP, she can see Jesse waiting for her. When she gets out, he just grabs her and kisses her like he did last night. She responded back giving him all her embraces in the kiss. It was crazy but it felt so wonderful to Lynn. They break from their kiss and go in and sit down to order.
"Well, I do not know why you called so soon but I am glad you did, I was thinking about you last night a lot and the kiss we had." Jesse said with a smile putting his hand on hers. "I know you felt something last night like I did right Lynn?"
Lynn look at him deeply, "yes I felt it, I felt alive when we touched and kissed, I did not want it to end and after that I really did not want to go home to Jason."
Jesse takes her hand and interlocks with it. He just looks at as they can feel the energy between them. "Jesse, I know we are feeling something, but I have only know you a day. I need time to think about this." Lynn says in a regretful tone.
Jesse whispers in her ear. "Take the time you need, just promise we will see each other. If I have to be the side guy while you work it out, I can do that and wait. There is just something about you Lynn that I find so intoxicating." Jesse says very softly to Lynn.
It sent a shiver down Lynn's spine, how is this guy a biker and so sweet. It did not fit the stereotype. "Jesse, just give me time to see if I am doing this for the right reasons. Yes, I want to and will see you more, I promise." Lynn says as she leave the dinner almost in tears.
She thinks about her life and the sudden change that occurred the night before. She smiled at her reflection, "Jesse, you are a wild card."
She goes to the kitchen to make some breakfast because she skipped breakfast yesterday. She is humming a tune and she does not notice Jason is sitting at the table drinking coffee.
Jason looks at her with a frown, "You seem happy this morning, what is the reason behind it?"
Lynn stops humming and looks at Jason, "I just had a good night, that's all. I went out and had some fun, met some new people.
It was nice to just... be me again," Lynn says, her eyes shining with excitement. She pours herself a cup of coffee and sits down at the table, across from Jason.
Jason takes a sip of his coffee, his expression unreadable. "You went out without me?"
Lynn nods, "Yep. Just needed a girls' night, you know? Sometimes it's good to get away from the same old routine."
Jason's eyebrows furrow, "But we had plans to go to the movies tonight, remember? You said you were looking forward to it."
Lynn shrugs, "Oh, that.
