Chapter 4: Chapter 4: Bathing at the lake
After following the path that the gatekeeper recommended as they made their way down the mountain, the Skywalker twins eventually spotted the lake she was talking about.
"Looks nice," Leia acknowledged.
Luke nodded. "And there is another lake at the upper level, with water from the mountain stream heading there and then feeding into the lower lake through the waterfall. We should probably drink from the upper level and bathe in the lower one. That will reduce our chances of contaminating the water we will use to get hydrated."
Leia didn't disagree with that, which is why they shifted their directions a bit until they climbed the lateral hill that brought them to the upper lake. Once there, they spent several minutes drinking their fill and satiating their thirst. After taking their time with that, they looked around and made another discovery: there was another waterfall that flowed to another small lake on the left side of the upper water source. It was separated from the bigger one by a tall layer of rocks.
"Oh, good," Luke muttered in a low tone. "That way we can each have our privacy as we bathe."
"Most important," The New Republic Senator said slowly.
They remained silent for a moment, contemplating their situation before sighing almost at the same time.
"Well, looks like we truly are stuck here for now," The Jedi said aloud as it finished sinking in. "So I guess we better make the best out of our situation and start getting comfortable. Yell if you need me."
And with that Luke descended down to the lower lake, starting to remove his shirt while he walked. Leia stared at his retreating back for a few seconds before shaking her head, the New Republic Senator turning around to make her way into her own pond. Sighing once more at the long-term situation she found herself in, she started to take off her clothing and placed it atop a boulder, leaving only her gold bracelet that was gifted to her by the Ewoks of Endor after their victory. The memory gave her pause.
"The Ewoks were used to living with very primitive technology," She thought. "If they could find a way to endure despite those limitations, then so can we."

"There must be a hot spring underground, somewhere nearby," Leia reasoned in her mind. "Otherwise it would not be so pleasantly warm."

Luke's POV change
Luke Skywalker had been washing the sweat and dirt away from his body while enjoying the pleasantly warm waters of the lake, reminiscing about recent events. He was admittedly more than a little concerned at the idea of remaining stranded for however many years it would take for his sister and him to learn how to harness the might of the Force enough to make their way off that planet. The New Republic had been making a lot of progress since the Empire fractured on various remnants by the squabbling warlords, after all, and they were among the new government's most famed agents. He was worried being away for too long might cost the fledgling New Republic in ways he couldn't begin to guess yet.
On the other hand, he had to acknowledge that he was also cautiously optimistic. That gatekeeper had told them that she knew several Force techniques she was going to teach them to improve their skills while wielding the Force, in preparation for their eventual departure. And while he had become a Jedi Knight after fulfilling the final task Yoda set him on, Luke didn't feel knowledgeable enough in the ways of the Force to call himself a master yet. So, he was hopeful he would be able to learn much from this holographic Jedi Master now that he actually had the time to devote himself to advanced teachings and not be overly busy with work, first the Rebellion and then the New Republic. And of course, he would be happy to pass on what he had learned so far to his sibling...
Suddenly, Luke heard a scream and he turned his head fast toward Leia's voice. His body working on instinct, he started running as fast as he could, using the Force to pull his lightsaber to his metallic hand while on the move. When he reached the tall, natural wall of rocks separating their ponds, the Jedi from Tatooine draw into the energy all around him to perform a mighty Force-jump, bypassing the wall in seconds and igniting his lightsaber when he finally reached the lateral lake.
"What is it?" Luke called out. "Is it a wild...beast...?"

The Jedi took a deep breath to try to calm himself down, which became even harder than he already thought it would be when he realized that he could still sense Leia's high state of arousal through the Force. "Well then," Luke continued, "Why don't we head back to the ship? Then we can change into something more comfortable, eat some of our canned food, wash it down with coconut water if we get more thirsty, and try to sleep after all the stress we have had today."
"Sounds good," His sister replied from her position.
Now that they were in agreement, Luke extended his arm and reached out with the Force until he had pulled 4 small coconuts from their palm trees and carefully placed them on the ground directly in front of Leia.
"In that case, we can each carry a couple of those on the way back," The Jedi said. "I will go get my clothes while you pick yours up."
And with that, he turned around and headed back to the lower lake where he had been bathing.

After her brother walked away to find his clothing, Leia Organa almost felt like allowing herself to drown in the lake out of sheer embarrassment. Almost.
She blushed, the memory of his physique striking her mind again. "Jedi training certainly suits him," She admitted under her breath. "I didn't really consider it would make him so fit."
Then she swallowed, as her thoughts wandered. Leia still didn't know how to use the Force at will to sense the emotional states of others whenever she would like but...she didn't really have need for that to discover that her twin had really enjoyed what he saw. "Well, these apes seem to really like playing with microfiber," He muttered. "Good to know for future reference, I suppose."
Then he looked back to the upper lake where Leia was waiting for him. His original plan had been to get dressed and then walked ahead of her so that she could have some privacy on the way to the ship but that plan is out of the airlock after that development. He contemplated his situation for a bit longer but in the end, he shrugged. Given the circumstances, it could be argued that it was fairer for him to be unable to cover himself up for now given that Leia couldn't either. Embarrassing for a while, to be sure, but it's not like they will have to deal with mortifying pictures about this situation getting leaked into the dark holonet by paparazzi now that they were alone.
