Chapter 37: The Heiress's Confession
The office air conditioning was a physical shock after the humid closeness of the penthouse. Aidan’s fingers trembled slightly as he swiped his keycard. The familiar buzz of fluorescent lights, the scent of stale coffee and lemon-scented cleaner—it all felt like a forgotten, shrunken world.
“Look what the cat dragged in,” a cheerful voice sang out.
Delia was perched on the edge of Irina’s desk, holding a mug. She grinned over the rim. “Three days off. Must be nice. Some of us have been here, drowning in Q3 extensions.”
Irina didn’t look up from her monitor. “You were not on holiday. Catriona said you were on a special assignment.” Her tone was flat, giving nothing away, but the way her eyes flicked toward him for a half-second was loaded. “I hope it was productive.”
Aidan’s neck heated. “It was… informative.”
“I’ll bet,” Delia giggled, sliding off the desk. She came closer, lowering her voice. “You look different. Less like a startled deer. Did they feed you something exciting over there?”
Before he could formulate a lie, Catriona’s office door opened. She stood in the frame, a silhouette in a sharply tailored navy dress. Her green eyes pinned him. “Aidan. My office. Now.”
The other women fell silent. Delia gave him an exaggerated wince. Irina simply returned to her typing, the click of her keys suddenly very loud.
Inside, Catriona closed the door with a soft, definitive click. She didn’t go to her chair. She leaned against her desk, arms crossed, and just looked at him. The sunlight from the window lit the dust motes dancing between them.
“Well?” she finally said.
“Well what?”
“Don’t play naïve. It doesn’t suit you anymore.” She uncrossed her arms and picked up a sleek tablet, swiping once before turning it to face him. It was a photo. A close-up, obscenely intimate, of Mei’s thighs, glistening and streaked with white. The caption below was visible: Second lesson complete.
Aidan’s mouth went dry.
“Suki is a friend. A valuable client. She shares things.” Catriona placed the tablet down softly. “This is beyond our… office arrangement. This is something else entirely. She’s evaluating you for something permanent.”
“She told you?”
“She implied. I have a talent for reading between the lines.” Catriona walked around him, her heels silent on the plush carpet. “The question is, what do you want? You’re my employee. I found you. I trained you.” Her hand came to rest on his shoulder, her grip firm. “I had first claim. Does that mean nothing to you now?”
Her voice wasn’t angry. It was possessive, edged with a curiosity that felt more dangerous than fury.
“It means something,” Aidan said, the truth of it surprising him. “But this… with them… it’s different.”
“How?” Her fingers dug in slightly.
“I don’t know. It’s not just a… a transaction in a supply closet or after hours. There’s a… a context.” He struggled for the words. “It feels like I have a role. Not just a function.”
Catriona was quiet for a long moment. Then she released his shoulder and moved back to her desk chair, sitting with regal slowness. “I see. So you enjoy the pageantry. The narrative.” A small, cool smile touched her lips. “I can understand that. We all want to be more than just useful.”
She steepled her fingers. “I won’t stand in your way. If this is an opportunity, you should explore it. But remember, this office, these women… we were your first. We shaped you. That doesn’t simply get rescinded because a more exotic offer comes along.” She picked up a pen. “You’ll see Irina at lunch. Delia needs you after four. Consider it keeping your tools sharp. Dismissed.”
The finality was absolute. Aidan left her office, the phantom pressure of her hand still on his shoulder.
The morning passed in a blur of spreadsheets and invoices, but everything felt heightened. The glance Delia threw him when she brought him a file. The way Irina, at precisely twelve-thirty, stood and nodded toward the small, locked break room used for "private consultations."
Her efficiency was, as ever, breathtaking. She didn’t kiss him. She simply unlocked the door, pushed him inside against the counter where the coffee machine hummed, unzipped his trousers, and sank to her knees. She took him into her mouth with a focused, technical proficiency that had him gasping in minutes. She pulled off, looking up at him with those dark, impassive eyes.
“You are fuller today,” she stated. “The girl in the photo did good work.” Then she stood, turned, leaned over the small table, and guided him into her from behind. Her tightness was a familiar, demanding vise. She fucked back against him with metronomic precision, her breathing measured. When she came, it was with a single, choked-off grunt, her body clamping down like a fist. She took his release without a sound, then stood, smoothing her skirt down before handing him a tissue from the box on the counter.
“Thank you,” she said, as if he’d handed her a corrected report. “My stress level is now acceptable.” She left, her bun perfectly intact.
Aidan was still reeling, tucking himself away, when his phone buzzed with a text from an unknown number. An address in the hills. A time: 7 PM. The message was just one word: Suki.
The car that collected him was silent and black. It wound up into the twilight, the city lights spreading out below like a bed of drowned jewels. It wasn’t the penthouse this time. The address led to a traditional ryokan, hidden behind high walls. He was led through serene gardens by a silent attendant, to a secluded suite overlooking a koi pond.
Suki waited there, not in silk, but in a simple linen shift. She knelt at a low table, pouring tea. Mei sat beside her, dressed similarly. They both looked up as he entered.
“Sit,” Suki said.
He knelt on the cushion opposite them. The room smelled of tatami and green tea.
“Mei has told you some things,” Suki began, not wasting a moment. “But not everything. Our family is… particular. We have alliances, obligations. A daughter’s marriage is a strategic tool. Mei finds that tool distasteful.”
Mei’s gaze was fixed on the steaming cup before her.
“We have been searching for an alternative,” Suki continued. “A consort. Not a husband from a rival family, but a partner with no political baggage. A foreigner. Someone who can satisfy her, protect her, and be… content with the life we provide. Someone we can control, but who she does not hate.” Her eyes, sharp as obsidian, held his. “We have watched you. The footage from Catriona’s little office was instructive. Your performance with Mei was more so. You are adaptable. You have appetite, but not ambition. It is a rare combination.”
Aidan’s heart hammered against his ribs. “You’ve been watching Catriona’s office?”
“For months. The allergy to latex was a fortunate coincidence. It created the perfect testing ground.” Suki took a sip of tea. “Mei has made her choice. She believes you have the kindness she needs, and the capacity to learn the rest.”
Mei finally spoke, her voice clear but soft. “The past days were not just about sex, Aidan. They were about character. Patience. Discretion. How you react to power, to pleasure, to being used.” She looked at him directly, her eyes red-rimmed but steady. “You passed. Better than passed.”
Suki set her cup down. “The offer is this. You leave your life. You stay here in Tokyo. You will live in comfort you cannot imagine. You will be Mei’s partner in every sense. Your needs will be met. Your only job is to be hers. To be faithful to her. And to provide her with the physical and emotional companionship she requires.”
“And if I say no?”
Suki’s smile was thin. “You walk away. We erase any record of you from our systems. Catriona’s office suffers a mysterious, total data loss. All those interesting photos, all records of your employment and the unusual benefits… gone. You return to being a junior accountant with a gap in his resume and a very strange memory. But you will never work in this city, or any city where we have reach, again.”
The silence stretched, filled only by the trickle of water in the garden outside.
Mei reached across the table. Her hand covered his. It was warm. “Please,” she whispered, the single word holding oceans of fear and hope. “I don’t want a strategic marriage. I want a choice. I am choosing you.”
Aidan looked at their joined hands. He saw the supply closet at the office, Irina’s severe bun, Delia’s giggles, Catriona’s possessive grip. He saw the crimson satin of the penthouse bed, the shocking intimacy of Mei’s trust, the terrifying scale of the life shimmering just beyond this quiet room.
He was not being offered a job. He was being offered a world.
He turned his hand under Mei’s and laced his fingers with hers. He didn’t look at Suki. He looked only at Mei, at the tears now spilling silently down her cheeks.
“Okay,” he said.
He said it, and the word hung in the fragrant air, simple and irrevocable. Mei’s fingers tightened around his, a desperate, grateful pressure. Suki’s expression remained unreadable, though a certain tension left her shoulders.
Aidan took a breath, the heady scent of green tea and damp garden moss filling his lungs. He looked from Mei’s tear-streaked face to Suki’s composed one. The acquiescence he’d just given felt too passive, too much like the old him who just followed instructions. That man had been left behind on the crimson sheets of the penthouse.
“On one condition,” Aidan said, the firmness in his own voice surprising him.
Mei’s eyes widened. Suki’s chin tilted a fraction, a silent command to continue.
“I would not be happy only being a house husband, no matter how incredible Mei is.” He kept his gaze locked on Suki, channeling a fraction of Catriona’s own imperiousness. “An executive role at the firm. After all, I’ll be family.”
Suki’s lips quirked. She seemed amused, not offended. “That could be arranged. Your loyalty would be… demonstrable in such a position.”
“Also an answer,” Aidan pressed, the questions that had been gnawing at him since he saw that first photo on Catriona’s tablet finally finding voice. “Why did you have me pleasure all the women at your headquarters if this was your plan? The tests with Mei, I understand. But the others… Irina, Delia, the rest. What was the point?”
Suki laughed then, a soft, crystalline sound that held no warmth. She poured more tea for herself, the stream a pale amber arc in the quiet room.
“We hire exclusively from our family for loyalty,” she said, as if explaining something obvious. “You’ve fucked every aunt, niece, and cousin between the ages of 18 and 50 who works in that branch.” She took a slow sip, her eyes watching him over the rim. “How do you think we’ll get family approval for marrying the heir off to a foreigner?”
The logic, cold and brilliant, settled over him. He saw it instantly. It wasn’t just about his performance. It was about theirs.
“Because of the photos and videos,” Aidan stated, the pieces clicking into a horrifying, perfect mosaic. “Of me creampieing each and every one of their tight, eager pussies.”
“Precisely.” Suki set her cup down with a definitive click. “Their enthusiastic participation is their consent. Their shared pleasure is their complicity. It becomes a collective secret, a bond. They have all tasted the same forbidden fruit, and they cannot un-taste it. To reject you now would be to reject their own desires, their own recorded indiscretions. It makes you, in their eyes, already one of us. A beloved, if unusual, resource.”
Mei was staring at the table, a blush staining her cheeks. It wasn’t shame, Aidan realized. It was a fierce, defiant pride. She had orchestrated this, chosen him knowing this would be the result.
The understanding was a cold wave, followed by a strange, hot flush of power. He wasn’t just a stud. He was a catalyst. A key turned in a lock made of wet, willing flesh and whispered secrets. They had all been part of the evaluation, every gasp and shiver a data point in his favor.
He thought of Irina’s clinical efficiency, Delia’s cheerful gossip, Catriona’s possessive claims. They were all, in their way, vouching for him. Their cumulative orgasms were his letters of recommendation.
“So the executive role,” Aidan said, his voice steady. “It wouldn’t be a sham. You need someone who understands the… internal dynamics. Someone they already answer to, in a certain way.”
Suki’s smile was genuine now, sharp with approval. “You learn quickly.Yes. You will be a liaison. A manager of our most sensitive human resources. Starting with the very women who have already stress-tested your qualifications so thoroughly.”
Mei finally looked up. Her hand was still in his. “Is that a condition you can accept?” she asked, her voice barely a whisper. “Knowing all of it?”
Aidan looked at their joined hands, then at the serene, brutal woman across the table, and finally back at Mei. He saw not a princess in a tower, but a strategist.A partner. He saw a future that was terrifying, vast, and his for the taking.
He brought Mei’s hand to his lips and kissed her knuckles, a promise.
“It’s the only condition,” he said.
