As Eugene and Maylee entered Maylee's dorm, she realized how long she had been away. "Oh No... My project!" Lyla sat there waiting on the bed.Arms crossed. Eyes set firmly on the ceiling. Not making eye contact with anyone. "I missed you, girl. Where have you been?'
-"Sleeping. You know me."
"I know you. It feels like I haven't seen you in months."
-"The same." Maylee hesitated. "This is Eugene."Lyla was angry. "I don't fucking care Maylee... We have a fucking deadline! You were away for 5 whole hours doing god knows what and you come back introducing me to a guy like you just got laid!" Lyla's face changed. She smiled. "you did, didn't you?" Eugene felt sick to his stomach, knowing Lyla saw through Maylee. Maylee knew. "Please don't embarrass us, Lyla." Lyla's eyes grew proud of her roomie. "Even if everyone else thinks otherwise, I'll always think highly of you. Always."
Eugene swallowed hard.
"I hope you like him, Lyla. I picked him out myself., And we are together from now on." In the corner of the room, the computer was still displaying the code on the screen that Maylee and Lyla couldn't get to work before.
