Chapter 3: The Corruption of Principles
The city glittered, a cold tapestry of lights thirty stories below. Up here, in Richard’s office, the world was silent except for the deliberate tick of a clock and the low, possessive rhythm of his breathing. Sara stood before the massive desk, her own reflection a ghost in the dark window. She felt small, an artifact placed on a shelf of polished mahogany and restrained power.
“Come here.”
His voice wasn’t loud. It never needed to be. It was a command that vibrated in the space between her ribs. She turned. He was seated in his high-backed chair, not behind the desk, but beside it, legs spread, one hand resting on the armrest, the other holding a heavy crystal tumbler of amber liquid. He studied her, his blue eyes dissecting her plain black dress, her posture, the way her fingers trembled just slightly at her sides.
“You’re late.”
“The train was–”
“I didn’t ask for an excuse.” He took a slow sip, his gaze never leaving her. “Remove your dress. Slowly. I want to see you remember what you are.”
Her cheeks burned, but the heat spread downwards, a flush of shameful anticipation. She reached for the zipper at the back, her movements clumsy. The fabric whispered as it slid from her shoulders, pooled at her feet. She stood in just her lace underwear, the office air cool on her skin.
“Those too.”
She hooked her thumbs into the waistband, pushed them down. Now she was entirely bare in this room of business and cold calculation. The vulnerability was a physical ache.
“Turn around. Bend over the desk. Place your palms flat. Look at the city you think you own a piece of.”
She obeyed, the smooth, cold wood biting into her stomach and thighs. Her spine curved, presenting herself. The expansive view of the city was now a dizzying, disorienting spectacle beneath her. She felt utterly exposed, a sacrifice on an altar of his making.
She heard the quiet clink of his glass being set down, the soft rustle of his clothing. Then his hand was on the small of her back, warm and heavy, pinning her in place.
“You used to write articles,” he mused, his other hand tracing the line of her spine. “Little manifestos. ‘Reclaiming Agency.’ ‘The Female Gaze.’ Do you remember?”
“Yes,” she whispered, her forehead pressing against the wood.
“Recite one for me. Now.”
Her mind blanked. The principles that once felt like the bedrock of her soul were now just words, dry and distant. “I… I can’t…”
His hand came down on her ass, a sharp, stinging slap that echoed in the quiet room. She jolted, a cry caught in her throat.
“Try harder.”
She swallowed, the taste of humiliation metallic. “The personal… is political,” she began, her voice thin.
“Louder.”
“The personal is political!” she said, her voice cracking.
“And what does that mean, Sara?” His fingers trailed between her thighs from behind, a casual, invasive exploration. She was already wet. He chuckled, a low, dark sound. “It means nothing. It’s a slogan for children. Your politics, your agency… it’s all just noise. This,” he said, his finger pushing shallowly inside her, “this is your truth. This need. This empty, dripping cunt waiting to be filled.”
He removed his hand. She heard the sound of his zipper, the rustle of fabric. Then the broad, blunt head of his cock was pressing against her, a familiar and terrifying pressure.
“Say it,” he commanded, his voice a gravelly whisper by her ear. “Say you’re just a hole for me to use.”
Tears of shame welled in her eyes, blurring the city lights. “I’m just a hole for you to use.”
He didn’t push slowly. He never did. He drove into her with one brutal, deep thrust, sheathing himself to the hilt. The air exploded from her lungs in a choked sob. He was massive, stretching her painfully, a burning invasion that obliterated all thought. He held himself there, buried inside her, letting her feel the full, impossible breadth of him.
“What else?” he growled, his hands gripping her hips hard, his thumbs digging into the tender bruises from last time.
“I’m… I’m your property,” she gasped, the words torn from her.
“And what does my property deserve?”
“To be used. However you want.”
He began to move, a slow, punishing rhythm that dragged against every sensitive nerve. Each withdrawal was a taunt, each slam back inside a claim. The desk shuddered slightly with the force. Her tits rubbed against the cold wood. She was a piece of meat on a butcher’s block, and the clarity of that degradation was horrifying and electrifying.
“Your husband,” Richard said, his voice steady, controlled even as his hips pistoned against her ass. “The soft, kind man. Does he fuck you like this? Does he make you understand your place?”
“No,” she moaned, the confession ripped from her. “Never. He’s… gentle.”
Richard laughed, a short, harsh bark. “He’s weak. He pets what he should possess.” He leaned over her, his chest against her back, his mouth at her ear. His pace increased, becoming ruthless, a machine-like fucking that had her scrabbling for purchase on the slick wood. “Tell me what he did last night. After you came home from me. Tell me how he touched my leftovers.”
The betrayal was another layer of filth, another delicious plunge. “He… he made love to me,” she panted. “He said I was incredible. He didn’t… he didn’t know.”
“Of course he didn’t. He’s blind.” Richard’s breath was hot. “Did he make you come?”
“I… I faked it.”
“Good girl.” The praise, in this context, was more potent than any orgasm. He slammed into her, over and over, the sound of skin on skin, wet and obscene. “What else did the weak little man do? Did he whisper his pathetic secrets?”
The memory of Charly’s drowsy confession flashed, a stark, innocent light in this dark room. In her current state, broken open and owned, it seemed less a secret and more a key. A offering. She wanted to give it to Richard, to feed his dominance, to see what he would do.
“He… he told me a fantasy,” she gasped, each word punctuated by a deep, driving thrust.
Richard’s rhythm didn’t falter, but his attention sharpened. She could feel it. “Go on.”
“He… he thinks about me with another man. A powerful man. He thinks about watching.” The admission hung in the air, fouler than any obscenity. “He gets off on the idea of… of someone else wanting me.”
Richard stopped.
The sudden stillness was more shocking than the violence. He was buried to the root inside her, motionless. His grip on her hips was iron. She could hear the city’ hum, the frantic beat of her own heart.
“He said that?” Richard’s voice was dangerously quiet.
“Yes. Last night. After we… after.”
A long silence stretched. Then Richard began to move again, but differently. It was slower, more deliberate, each thrust a calculated stroke of thought as much as flesh. “His own wife,” he murmured, almost to himself. “Offering her up in his mind. The coward’s version of conquest.” He leaned close again, his lips brushing her ear. “He has no idea the powerful man is his own father, does he? That his fantasy is my everyday reality.”
The words sent a seismic shock through her. The familial link, usually pushed to the far recesses of her mind, now slammed to the forefront, making the depravity infinitely deeper.
“No,” she whimpered.
“This changes things,” Richard said, his pace gradually intensifying once more, becoming possessive, final. “This isn’t just about breaking you anymore, Sara. This is about revealing the truth to him. The truth of what he is, and what you are.”
He fucked her then with a renewed, focused intensity. It was no longer just about his pleasure or her submission. It was a sealing of a new, darker pact. Sara felt herself spiraling, the physical brutality and the psychological horror fusing into a wave of compulsory, devastating pleasure. She came with a shattered cry, her body clamping around his invading length, the orgasm a punishment in itself.
He followed soon after, groaning as he pumped his release deep into her, claiming the very core of her with a heat that felt branding. He stayed inside her for a long moment, both of them slick with sweat, breathing in the scent of sex and betrayal.
When he finally pulled out, she sagged against the desk, spent and hollow. He tucked himself away, the sound of his zipper a period at the end of the sentence. He walked to the window, looking out at his kingdom, while she dripped onto his expensive rug.
“We’re going to give your husband his fantasy,” Richard said, his back to her. “A version of it. He wants to watch? He’ll watch. He just won’t know it’s me.”
He turned, his face in shadow, his eyes catching the light like chips of ice.
“Get dressed. You have work to do. You’re going to start teasing him. Hinting. Telling him you’ve caught the eye of someone important at the firm. Someone powerful. Feed his little kink. Make him hungry for it.”
Sara pushed herself up, her legs unsteady. She reached for her clothes, her fingers numb. The woman who had walked in here was gone, dismantled. In her place was a instrument, tuned to a new, devastating purpose.
“And then?” she asked, her voice raw.
Richard smiled, a thin, cruel curve of his lips. “Then we’ll see how much he really loves you.”
