Chapter 4: Double Deception

The last of the sunset bled orange and purple across the high windows of the Hokage’s office, painting Tsunade’s desk in long, deep shadows. The air was still and warm, thick with the smell of old wood and ink.

Hinata stood before the massive desk, her posture rigidly perfect. The tight-fitting jonin attire did nothing to soften her sharply defined physique; every cut of muscle on her abdomen and arms was visible, a testament to relentless training. She placed a neatly written scroll on the polished surface.

“Lady Tsunade,” she began, her voice soft but clear. “I’ve grown concerned about Sakura and Ino’s… recent habits. Their stamina seems to be lagging. I took the liberty of drafting a nutritional plan. To keep their energy levels high.”

Tsunade took the scroll, her eyes, sharp and discerning, scanning the contents. She hummed, a low sound in her throat. “High-calorie, high-protein… frequent meals. You’re not wrong. The medical corps work is draining. They burn through chakra like it’s nothing.” She looked up at Hinata’s carved marble form. “You could stand to put on a few pounds yourself, you know. A strong wind might blow you over.”

Hinata’s cheeks flushed a delicate pink. “I find a lean physique allows for greater speed, my Lady.”

“Speed isn’t everything. Power matters. Solidness.” Tsunade leaned back, her chair groaning. The movement accentuated the formidable breadth of her shoulders and the deep curve of her bust. “This looks good, Hinata. Practical. I’ll see it’s implemented.”

The office door opened without a sound, and Naruto slipped in, a boyish grin on his face. “Hey, Granny Tsunade! Hinata! Didn’t know you were here.”

Hinata’s posture stiffened further, a faint tremor in her hands. “N-Naruto-kun.”

“Just dropping off some stuff,” he said cheerfully, placing a small, well-worn book beside Hinata’s scroll. “Found this old recipe book in the Uzumaki archives. Thought you might get a kick out of it. Lots of old-fashioned, hearty meals in there. The kind that really sticks to your ribs.”

His eyes, bright and blue, flickered from the scroll to Tsunade’s face, missing nothing. He saw Hinata’s calculated offering and knew his own would complement it perfectly. The book was filled with recipes for stews rich with root vegetables and fatty meats, breads dense with grains and seeds, desserts sweetened with heavy honey and cream.

Tsunade picked it up, her thumb tracing the embossed cover. “Uzumaki stamina recipes? Now this is a historical document.” She opened it, her expression one of genuine interest. “This is exactly what I was talking about. Modern shinobi food is all about efficiency. This… this is about building a foundation.” She looked at both of them, a pleased smile on her face. “It’s good to see you both taking such an interest in your comrades’ well-being.”

The irony was so thick it was a physical presence in the room. Naruto felt a thrill course through him. Hinata allowed herself a small, satisfied smile, believing her sabotage was proceeding undetected.

“In fact,” Tsunade continued, her gaze settling on Hinata, “some of these techniques might do you good. My training regimen could use a training partner with your… dedication. What do you say? Help an old woman stay in shape?”

Hinata’s eyes widened. Training with the Legendary Sucker? It was an honor she couldn’t refuse. “I would be privileged, Lady Tsunade.”

“Good. It’s settled.” Tsunade stood, the power in her frame evident as she rounded the desk. “We’ll start tomorrow at dawn. And I’ll have the kitchen staff begin incorporating these plans immediately.” She patted the scroll and the book. “Sakura and Ino are becoming fine, strong women. It’s only right we support that. Their bodies are maturing, filling out into their true potential. They shouldn’t fight it.”

Later, under the bruised twilight sky of the training grounds, the air rang with the sharp, solid impacts of flesh on wood. Tsunade moved with a brutal, economical grace, her fist shattering a training post into splinters. Hinata mirrored her, her movements a fluid, precise counterpoint, her Byakugan active, veins bulging around her eyes as she analyzed every shift of muscle and burst of chakra.

Sweat gleamed on Tsunade’s skin, soaking through her shirt. The fabric clung to her back, outlining the dense, powerful lattissimus muscles that flared from her spine. With each explosive strike, the solid weight of her chest and hips shifted with formidable momentum. She was not sleek; she was a monument of strength, her body a collection of hard-earned, powerful curves.

Hinata, by contrast, was a wire of pure tension. Her own strikes were faster, sharper, but they lacked the overwhelming, crushing force that Tsunade generated so effortlessly. She pushed herself, muscles burning, driven by a complex mix of admiration for the Hokage and a fierce, private jealousy.

“Again!” Tsunade barked, a feral grin on her face. “Power from the ground up! Don’t just hit it. Move through it!”

As they trained, a kitchen assistant in the Hokage Tower meticulously transcribed the first meal from the Uzumaki book: a thick, porridge-like stew of oats, dried fruits, and heavy cream, sweetened with honey and a generous knob of butter, designed to be delivered to Sakura and Ino’s apartments each morning before their shifts.

The plan was in motion, a perfect, terrible symmetry. Two conspirators, one wanting to inflate, the other to defile, both guiding the objects of their obsession towards the same lush, heavy, and increasingly sedentary future. And at the center of it all, Tsunade, a force of nature, was becoming denser, harder, more powerful, completely unaware that the softness she was cultivating in her students was the very thing her new training partner sought to undermine. The weight of their combined efforts began to press down, an invisible hand guiding the bodies of Konoha’s finest kunoichi towards a precipice of their own making.
