Chapter 8: Muscle vs. Fluff
The late afternoon sun cast long shadows across Training Ground Three, dappling the forest floor in patterns of gold and deep green. Naruto leaned against a tree trunk, watching Hinata approach. Her footsteps were unnaturally quiet for her size, each footfall landing with precise, controlled power.
“Naruto-kun,” she said, her voice softer than her appearance suggested. She stopped before him, the sheer mass of her blocking the sun. Her shoulders were so broad they seemed to eclipse the trees behind her. The fabric of her training shirt was stretched drum-tight over deltoids that curved like river stones, and her trapezius muscles rose in thick cords to frame her jaw. There was no taper to her torso, just a straight, powerful wall of muscle from her armpits to her hips, which themselves were wide but hard, lacking any feminine sweep.
“Hey, Hinata. What’s up?” he asked, forcing his eyes to stay on her face.
“I have… an update. From the mission.” She produced a small scroll from her weapons pouch. Her forearm, as she extended it, was a densely packed bundle of separate muscles, veins tracing roads across the defined terrain. “From my sources in the Land of Hot Water.”
Naruto took the scroll, his fingers brushing against hers. Her hand was like carved wood, all hard planes and strength. He unsealed it, and a small, moving image flickered to life above the parchment. It showed Sakura and Ino, sitting at a long banquet table laden with food. Their faces were flushed, laughing at something off-camera. Sakura’s new uniform, clearly several sizes too small, strained across her chest and midsection. As she reached for a roasted bird, the movement caused a soft, rounded bulge of her stomach to press firmly against the table’s edge. Ino, meanwhile, was leaning back in her chair, one hand patting a visibly distended belly that slopped over her belt. A contented, drowsy smile was on her face.
Naruto’s breath hitched. He could almost smell the rich food, hear their satisfied sighs.
“As you can see,” Hinata said, a note of poorly concealed satisfaction in her voice, “their… conditioning is proceeding rapidly. They are becoming quite substantial. Unrecognizable, almost.”
She flexed her arm unconsciously, the biceps swelling into a grotesque, veiny peak that seemed to defy anatomy. The movement was meant to showcase her own discipline, a stark contrast to the softness in the image. She believed she was showing him a horror, but she was gifting him a fantasy.
“Yeah,” Naruto managed, his voice slightly thick. “They look… really different.”
“I thought you should know,” Hinata pressed, misreading the heat in his gaze for distress. “When they return, they will not be the women you knew.”
“Right. Thanks, Hinata.” He rerolled the scroll, tucking it into his own pouch. A precious treasure.
She stood there for a moment longer, a monument of misplaced effort, before turning with a ground-shaking step and marching away. Naruto watched her go, the powerful slabs of her back muscles working beneath her shirt, and felt nothing but a hollow chill.
The clock in Tsunade’s office ticked past midnight. The room was lit by a single desk lamp, pooling light on the empty ramen cups and scattered mission reports. Naruto was gathering his things to leave when her voice stopped him.
“Stay.”
It wasn’t a request. Tsunade rose from her chair, and the lamplight carved her new physique out of the shadows. She had become something elemental, a being of pure, dense mass. Her shoulders were so wide they seemed to pull the room inward. The celebrated hourglass of her youth had been replaced by a formidable V-shape; her waist, while still defined, was thick with obliques, flowing into quadriceps so developed they brushed against each other when she walked. She moved around the desk, each step a testament to immense, contained power.
“You’ve been diligent, Naruto,” she said, her voice a low thrum. She stopped in front of him, so close he had to tilt his head back to meet her eyes. The scent of her, soap and a faint, metallic tang of sweat, filled the space between them. She placed a hand on his chest. Her fingers were strong, the palm broad and unyielding. “Holding down the village while I’ve been… preoccupied with their training.”
“Just doing my job, Granny Tsunade,” he said, his body tensing.
“I know what you see in them,” she murmured, her gaze intense. “The softness. The indulgence.” She leaned in, her chest, a solid plate of pectoral muscle, pressing against him. “But this is true strength.” She guided his hand, forcing it to her own biceps. It was like gripping warm, living stone. “This is what protects the village.”
He knew this was a miscalculation on her part. She saw his interest in Sakura and Ino’s changing bodies and assumed it was a boyish fascination he could be steered away from. She believed she could overwrite it with the hard reality of her own form.
He couldn’t refuse. Her will was a physical force in the room, as palpable as her grip. He nodded, a short, jerky motion.
Later, pinned beneath her in the dim light, it was an exercise in endurance. The weight of her was immense, a crushing, muscular pressure that made it hard to breathe. He focused on the ceiling, on a crack in the plaster, while she moved above him with a powerful, relentless rhythm. Her body was a landscape of rigid contours, all sharp angles and straining sinew, a world away from the soft, yielding flesh he craved. It was efficient and devoid of the laziness, the unashamed bodily indulgences that set his blood alight.
When it was over, she rose from the bed, a silhouette of pure, sculpted power against the window. She dressed with swift, economical movements.
“They return in two weeks,” she stated, her back to him. “The foundation is set, but the structure must be maintained. You will see to it. Their caloric intake is to be doubled. Use the village funds. I’ll authorize it.”
She left without another word, the door clicking shut behind her. Naruto lay in the silent, dark room, the ghost of her overwhelming strength still pressing down on him. The order echoed in his mind. Doubled. He saw Ino, drowsy and soft, her belly spilling into her lap. He saw Sakura, her buttons straining, a contented burp escaping her lips after a heavy meal.
A slow smile spread across his face in the darkness. Hinata’s sabotage, Tsunade’s command—they were all threads he hadn’t even needed to pull, weaving themselves perfectly into his design. The path was clear now, paved by the very hands that thought they were leading him astray.
