Chapter 5: Frustration

Breilla woke with a start, her heart pounding like a drum in her chest as she gasped for air. She looked around the restroom, her eyes wide with terror as she tried to make sense of her surroundings. The last thing she remembered was the spirit, its icy touch burning like fire as it ravaged her body. But now, as she looked down at herself, she saw no signs of the brutal assault. Her body was unmarked, her skin smooth and unblemished, as if nothing had ever happened. She was still wearing her blue mini bikini top, the brown tied bikini bottom, her cowgirl gloves and boots - everything was exactly as it had been before the spirit had taken her. She let out a shaky breath, relief flooding through her. Maybe it had all been a nightmare, a twisted hallucination brought on by stress and exhaustion.

But as Breilla stood up, she definitely felt an invisible hand roaming all over her body, tracing the curves of her breasts, the dip of her waist, the swell of her hips. She wasn't delusional; she knew exactly what was happening. She could feel every touch, every caress, as if it were real. She shivered, her skin prickling with goosebumps as the invisible hand moved lower, cupping her between her legs. She gasped, her body tensing as a jolt of pleasure shot through her. This was no nightmare; this was something else entirely. She looked around the restroom, her eyes wide with a mix of fear and anticipation. she demanded, her voice shaking slightly. "Show yourself." But there was no response, only the soft rustle of fabric as the invisible hand continued to explore her body.

She took a deep breath, steeling herself for what was to come. She knew she had to leave the restroom, had to get out of there before whatever was happening to her got any worse. As she left the restroom, the sensation of the invisible hand was gone, and she was standing on the pitch next to the restroom, the night sky cycling through its eerie moon light.

The haze still hung heavy in the air, obscuring everything beyond the school fence.

Breilla gathered her courage and made her way towards the school's gate. The haze seemed to thicken as she approached, as if it were trying to keep her from leaving. She could see the faint outline of the gate through the mist, but it was as if it were miles away. She took another deep breath and pushed forward, her cowgirl boots sinking into the soft grass.

The gate was still locked, its heavy iron bars glinting menacingly in the moonlight. She tried to bang it with desperation, screaming for help, but her voice only echoed back at her, swallowed by the thick haze. "Help!" she cried out again, her voice shaking with fear and desperation. "Please, someone help me!" But there was no response, only the cold, unyielding silence of the night.

Breilla's heart pounded in her chest as she looked around, her eyes wide with terror. She could see the faint outline of the school buildings through the haze, their windows like empty eye sockets staring back at her. She knew she had to get out of there, had to find a way to escape this godforsaken place.

She sat down with her back leaning against the cold iron gate, her mind racing as she tried to gather her thoughts. What had happened to her? Why had those spirits attacked her? And why was she still here, trapped in this hellish realm? She couldn't process it all, couldn't wrap her head around the sheer impossibility of it all. But she knew one thing for certain - she had to get out. She couldn't stay here, not with those spirits still lurking in the shadows, waiting for another chance to attack her.

Breilla slumped against the cold iron gate, her mind racing as she tried to make sense of her situation. "What the fuck is happening to me?" she muttered to herself, running a trembling hand through her blonde hair. "First, my boyfriend doesn't show up when he's supposed to, and now this? Maybe he dumped me, and this is some kind of twisted karma. Fucking asshat, leaving me like that." She shook her head, her eyes tearing up as she remembered the look on his face the last time they'd fought. "But no, that can't be it. He's just busy, that's all. He'll call, he'll explain. He always does."

She took a shaky breath, trying to calm herself down. "And my parents, what about them?

They're probably pissed at me for my grades. 'Maybe she'll learn responsibility from being grounded,' they'd say. Fuck, what if they sent me here as some kind of twisted punishment?" Breilla muttered to herself, her voice barely a whisper. "No, that can't be it. They wouldn't do that. Would they?" She shook her head, her mind racing as she tried to make sense of her situation.

"Maybe if I hadn't been so selfish, so stupid, I wouldn't be here. Maybe if I hadn't lied to my parents, skipped class... maybe I'd be somewhere else, somewhere safe. Fuck, what did I do to deserve this?" she whispered, her voice barely audible even to her own ears. "This is like some fucked-up purgatory, isn't it? I'm trapped here, being tortured by those... things." She shivered, the memory of the spirit's icy touch still fresh in her mind. "And for what? To learn a lesson? To pay for my sins? This isn't fair. This isn't right."

Breilla looked up at the moon, her eyes filled with tears. "Why is this happening to me? What do I have to do to make it stop? I just want to go home." She whispered to herself, hugging her knees to her chest. "I just wanted to fuck with him, I didn't mean for this to happen." Tears streamed down her face as she rocked back and forth, her mind racing with thoughts of her boyfriend. She could picture him now, his arms wrapped around another girl, laughing and smiling as if she didn't exist. As if she was nothing more than a ghost, haunting the edges of his life. She felt a pang of jealousy, a bitter taste in her mouth. "He's probably fucking another slut now," she whispered, her voice barely audible. "While I'm stuck here, with these..." She shivered, the thought of her boyfriend with someone else sending a wave of nausea through her.

She looked up at the school building, its windows staring back at her like empty eye sockets, mocking her. Then, she glanced at the rooftop, a grim idea forming in her mind. She couldn't stay here, trapped and tormented by these spirits. She had to do something, anything, to escape this hellish place. And if that meant ending it all, so be it.

She stood up, her heart pounding in her chest as she made her way towards the school building. The haze seemed to part for her, as if the very air was urging her on. She could feel the cold, hard stone of the wall against her back as she began to climb, her cowgirl boots finding purchase on the rough surface.

The stairs were narrow and winding, leading up through the heart of the school's main building. She could hear the faint echoes of her own breathing, each step a testament to her determination. The air grew colder as she ascended, the haze from outside clinging to her like a second skin. She could feel the weight of the school's history pressing down on her, each step a battle against the ghosts of her past.

As she reached the sixth floor, she paused for a moment, catching her breath. The door to the roof was heavy and old, its hinges creaking ominously as she pushed it open. The night air rushed in, cold and sharp. She stepped out onto the roof, her heart pounding in her chest as she looked out over the school grounds. The haze was thicker here, obscuring everything beyond the school fence.

Breilla took a deep breath, steeling herself for what was to come. She had to end this, end it all. She walked towards the edge of the roof, her heart pounding in her chest like a drum. She could see the ground far below, the hard concrete waiting to greet her. She took another deep breath, her hands gripping the cold metal railing. "This is it," she whispered to herself, her voice barely audible even to her own ears. "No more pain, no more fear. Just... peace." She closed her eyes, her heart pounding in her chest as she prepared to let go of the railing.

She took one last deep breath, and then, with a scream that tore from the depths of her soul, she jumped. For several moments, she felt weightless, as if she were flying. Then, with a sickening thud, her body hit the ground. The impact was brutal, the air rushing out of her lungs as pain exploded through her. She lay there, her body broken and battered, as the world around her began to fade to black.
