Chapter 30: Titanic Temptations

The air in Captain Naruto’s new office smelled of fresh paint, old paper.

Naruto stood by the window, feeling the soft, persistent pressure of his belt—a belt he’d had to loosen two notches just this morning.

The office door opened without a knock. Karin waddled in, a stack of files in one hand, a personal-sized pizza in the other. At 7‘5“, she filled the doorway, her red hair brushing the top of the frame. Her progress was a slow, seismic event. Her hips, wider than the doorway was tall, brushed against both sides. Her enormous belly, a masterpiece of soft, rolling abundance, led the way, covered in a stretchy black dress that sighed with every movement. A low, prolonged belch escaped her as she entered, a punctuation mark to her arrival.

“Paperwork for the new recruits,” she said, her voice lazy. She dropped the files onto a corner of the desk not covered in food. She took a massive bite of the pizza, cheese stretching, and regarded the scene on the couch with half-lidded eyes. “Cute. Don’t forget the orientation at two, Captain. Temari and Karui are already prepping the gym. It’s assessment day.”

The precinct gym at two o’clock was a cathedral of sweat and straining metal. The air was thick with chalk dust and the sharp, clean scent of exertion. The ten new recruits stood in a nervous line. The three young men looked lean, eager. The seven young women were already tall, a fresh canvas awaiting Temari’s particular artistry.

Temari herself dominated the space. At 7‘8“, her physique was a monument of defined muscle. Her shoulders were like carved marble, her legs columns of powerful, striated cords. She stood with her hands on her hips, her green eyes scanning the recruits. Beside her, Karui was a study in contrasting power. Where Temari’s muscles were sculpted and defined, Karui’s were densely packed, bulging with raw, compact mass. Her spiky red hair was damp at the temples, her wide, muscular waist cinched by a weightlifting belt.

“Welcome,” Temari’s voice boomed, friendly yet leaving no room for question. “Physical readiness is non-negotiable. We will assess your baselines. Ladies, you’re with me and Sergeant Karui. Gentlemen, you’re with Captain Uzumaki for initial weigh-in and dietary consultation.”

Naruto, feeling conspicuously soft in his track pants and department t-shirt, gestured to the three young men. They followed him to a corner where a industrial scale sat. As he took down their weights, he was acutely aware of the symphony of grunts, clanging plates, and encouraging shouts from the other side of the room.

The young women, under Temari’s and Karui’s exacting eyes, were being tested on bench presses, deadlifts, and pull-ups. But their eyes kept drifting. They followed Naruto as he moved. Whispers and blushes passed between them. One, a tall girl with a black ponytail, missed her grip on the pull-up bar because she was staring. Karui noticed. Her obsidian eyes narrowed.

As the session wound down, the new female recruits, faces flushed with effort, muscles trembling with new ambition, clustered near the water cooler—which placed them directly in Naruto’s path. He finished with the last young man and turned, almost walking into a wall of tall, breathless, admiring youth.

“Captain Uzumaki?” the ponytailed girl said, her voice bright. “Is it true you solved the Nakano forgery ring single-handed?”

“Oh! And the waterfront arsons?” another, a brunette with strong shoulders, added.

They towered over him, their fresh, enthusiastic faces a foot and a half above his own. He saw his reflection in their wide, eager eyes. He smiled, his natural, sunny grin breaking through his self-consciousness. “Well, yeah, but I had a lot of help from…”

He was interrupted as two massive, sweat-slicked arms reached into the circle. Karui, her expression unreadable, placed her hands on the shoulders of the two front recruits and gently, inexorably, moved them apart like curtains. Her biceps swelled with the minimal effort, veins standing in stark relief against her dark skin.

“Captain has responsibilities,” Karui stated, her voice a low vibration. “Recruits, hit the showers. Dismissed.” She didn’t look at them. Her eyes were fixed on Naruto, a possessiveness in them that was as solid as her physique.

The girls scattered, casting awed looks back at Karui and shy glances at Naruto.

Once they were gone, the gym was quieter. Only the sound of rhythmic, heavy breathing remained. On a far bench, Kiba was laid out on his back, a human mountain in sweats. Temari knelt beside him, one hand resting on the vast, rising dome of his stomach. With the other, she held a water bottle with a long straw to his lips. “Just a little more, darling,” she murmured, her voice utterly transformed from its command bark. It was liquid, tender. “You did so well watching. So good for me.” Kiba’s hand, a pudgy starfish, came to rest on her terrifyingly muscular forearm, a gesture of pure, trusting intimacy.

Karui stepped closer to Naruto, shortening the already small distance between them. The scent of her sweat, sharp and salty, mixed with her coconut oil. She looked down at him, her fierce face softening at the edges. “They’re children,” she said quietly. “They don’t know how to care for you.” Her gaze drifted meaningfully to his midsection, softer now, lapping slightly over his waistband.

Several weeks pass .

Several weeks transform the precinct’s rhythms into a new, settled reality. Naruto’s office has become a temple of clutter and caloric pilgrimage. A parade of muscular women in uniform blues, from the youngest recruit to the most seasoned sergeant, finds excuses to visit, each bearing a edible offering.

A meat pie from Officer Ayame, her biceps straining her sleeves as she places it, steaming, on his desk. A box of still-warm donuts from Sergeant Suzume, her towering frame blocking the light from the door as she smiles down at him. A homemade bento, intricately arranged, from the blushing ponytailed recruit whose name he keeps forgetting.

“Just thought you might be hungry, Captain,” each one says, their voices a chorus of concern and quiet admiration.

Naruto, immersed in a witness report, merely nods with a grateful, distracted smile. “Thanks! You’re a lifesaver.” He takes the offered food without looking up, taking a bite of a donut, then a forkful of pie, his concentration never breaking from the paperwork. The women linger for a moment, watching the powerful jut of his jaw as he chews, the way his now-substantial stomach presses against the edge of the desk, before sighing softly and retreating.

His old uniforms were quietly retired. He now wears only elastic-waisted tactical pants and loose department polos that strain across his chest and belly. The fabric is perpetually dusted with powdered sugar or crumbs. Movement is a slower, more considered process. Standing from his chair requires a gentle push against the arms, a slight rock to gain momentum.

Karin, from her desk right outside his door, governs the flow. She regulates the procession with the lazy authority of a gatekeeper, her own immense body spilling over the sides of a reinforced office chair. “He’s on a call,” she’d lie, biting into a frosted pastry. “Leave it with me.” The food often never reached him, ending up instead in her own bottomless appetite. But enough did.

“Your three o’clock is here,” Karin announced one afternoon, her voice muffled by a mouthful of teriyaki chicken. She didn’t move from her station. “It’s the forensic accountant from downtown. Stick-thin guy. Looks nervous.”

The man, indeed narrow-shouldered and wiry, waited as Naruto finished a call. His eyes darted around the office, taking in the empty food containers, the new, larger chair, the captain himself who now filled it so completely. Naruto concluded his call and beamed at the visitor. “Sorry about that! Case is heating up. Whatcha got for me?”

As the accountant began speaking, the door opened again. It was Karui, back from the firing range. She carried two paper bags smelling powerfully of grease and fried onions. She didn’t acknowledge the visitor. She placed one bag directly in front of Naruto, her muscular forearm, still damp from washing, brushing his shoulder.

“Double cheeseburger, extra bacon, large fries,” she stated, her tone leaving no room for refusal. She pulled the other bag onto her own lap as she leaned against the wall, effectively blocking the door. She unwrapped her burger with hands that could crush the tin can the accountant had brought as evidence.

Naruto blinked, looked at the food, then back at the forensic report. “Oh, awesome. Thanks, Karui.” He pulled the burger from the bag and took a huge, automatic bite. “So, these ledger discrepancies…” he continued, sauce at the corner of his mouth, his mind seamlessly weaving together sustenance and deduction.

The accountant stared, his report forgotten. Karui took a savage bite of her own burger, her dark eyes fixed on the thin man, a silent, possessive challenge. The man left twenty minutes later, his evidence accepted, his worldview subtly but permanently altered.

Success piled up like the empty boxes in Naruto’s trash can. His task force, fueled by this strange ecosystem of devotion and protein, closed cases with startling效率. Busts were perfectly coordinated, paperwork flawless. The conviction rate soared. Downtown sent commendations. Reporters called for comments on the “Uzumaki Method.”

Naruto attributed it all to his team’s hard work. He praised Temari’s discipline in the gym, Karui’s relentless drive on patrol, Karin’s administrative sorcery, the fresh energy of the recruits. He never noticed the way the female officers’ muscles seemed to swell with pride at his words, their backs straightening, their feeding becoming even more devout.

In the bullpen, Kiba was a contented fortress. Temari would often lift him, all five hundred pounds of him, from his own reinforced chair and settle him onto her lap during briefing updates. She did it with a grunt of effort that was pure satisfaction, her colossal quadriceps bunching beneath his weight. She’d wrap one immense arm around his middle, her hand splayed possessively over his stomach, while taking notes with the other. He’d rest his head against the unyielding slab of her pectoral muscle, listening, his own hands often holding a sandwich she had provided.

The precinct thrived. It hummed. It was a machine of happy, incongruous contrasts: granite muscle and soft, ample flesh; fierce ambition and contented sighs; the sharp smell of gun oil and the rich, perpetual aroma of slow-cooked meals from the canteen.

Naruto, the blissful, oblivious heart of it all, simply accepted another container of beef stew from a beaming young recruit. He ate. He solved. He grew. He was, in every sense, supported.
