Chapter 19: Shiva's Claim

The medical bay’s lights were a cold, unforgiving white. They burned away the shadows Bruce usually wore as a second skin, exposing every bruise, every line of tension. The scent of antiseptic clawed at his throat, failing to mask the deeper, more personal smell still on him—Talia’s milk, their sweat, sex. It lingered in his sinuses, a phantom presence. He stood at the central console, hands braced on the cool metal, staring at a biochemical scan of his own blood work. The analysis glowed, highlighting foreign lipids, hormonal markers that shouldn’t be there. The proof was in the data, in his own veins. He was metabolizing her.

The silence was wrong. The cave’s ambient hum had a gap in it. A missing beat.

He didn’t hear her approach. One moment he was alone with the specter on the screen, the next the atmosphere changed. The air grew denser, charged with a lethal focus. He began to turn, his muscles telegraphing the movement a fraction too late.

The cold, precise edge of a scalpel pressed against his carotid artery. It wasn’t a threat; it was a fact. A single ounce of pressure would part skin, then artery.

“Don’t,” Lady Shiva said. Her voice was flat, devoid of Talia’s theatrical menace. It was pure utility.

Bruce froze. He could feel his own pulse hammering against the surgical steel. His eyes cut to the side, taking in her reflection in the darkened monitor. She stood close, her body not touching his, a master of efficient leverage. She wore simple black combat trousers and a tank top, her arms corded with lean muscle. Her face was a mask of serene detachment.

“She has ordered me to take my due,” Shiva whispered, her breath disturbing the air near his ear. “A transaction. You drank. You were filled. I observed. Now, you will perform.”

“This wasn’t part of—”

The scalpel bit deeper. Not enough to bleed, but enough for a sharp sting of promise. “The hierarchy is not negotiable. You kneel for her. You will kneel for me. It is the same chain.”

Her free hand snaked around his torso, fingers digging into a nerve cluster below his ribcage. Pain, bright and debilitating, shot through him. It wasn’t a fight. It was a demonstration. His knees buckled, hitting the polished floor with a solid thud. The scalpel never left his throat, guiding his descent.

Now he was looking up at her. The clinical light haloed her, rendering her features both severe and godlike. Her expression held no malice, no lust. Only a profound, unsettling curiosity.

“The lesson is obedience,” she stated. “Its form is adaptable.”

With a slow, deliberate hand, she undid the tie of her trousers. She pushed them down, along with whatever was beneath, just past the sharp crest of her hips. She was completely bare, shaved smooth. Her cunt was exposed to the sterile light, a stark, vulnerable anatomy in this room of machines. It was unlike Talia’s theatrical display; this was just information. A biological site.

“Prove you understand the chain,” she said, her voice never wavering. “Use your tongue. Do not stop until I am satisfied.”

The scalpel withdrew. She held it loosely at her side, a metallic gleam in her fist. The implied threat was clearer than the blade itself: failure was not an option. Disobedience was a surgical correction.

Bruce’s mind screamed. It was a cacophony of outrage, strategy, desperation. But beneath the scream, colder and deeper, ran the new program. The obedience had been seeded, watered with her milk. His body, still humming with the foreign nutrients, responded before his will could rally. A terrible, shameful part of him was already leaning forward.

He closed his eyes. He couldn’t look. The smell reached him first—clean skin, a faint musk, the sharp tang of the antiseptic air mixing with something essentially, privately her. He exhaled, a shuddering breath, and pressed his face forward.

His tongue made contact. The flesh was warm, softer than he expected. He traced a stiff, clumsy line. She did not move. She was a statue. He worked, trying to find a rhythm, his mind divorcing from the act. This was a mission. Survive. Placate the predator. His tongue delved deeper, seeking structure, the hard nub of her clit. He found it, circled it.

A minute tremor went through her thigh. The only sign.

He focused on the mechanics. The flat of his tongue, broad strokes. The point, precise flickers. The suction of his lips. He was an instrument being played. Saliva gathered, making the path slick. The taste was mild, salty, human. He lost track of time in the horrific intimacy of it, the sound of his own labored breathing and the wet, quiet sounds of his work filling the medical bay’s silence.

“Slower,” she commanded, her voice tight.

He obeyed. A long, slow lap from bottom to top.

“There. Pressure.”

He increased it, bearing down with the firmness he might use to set a dislocated joint.

Her breath hitched. It was the first crack in her detachment. A soft, almost inaudible sigh escaped her. Her free hand came down and gripped his hair, not guiding, just holding. Anchoring. Her hips gave a tiny, involuntary thrust against his mouth.

“Don’t stop.”

He didn’t. He chased that sign of breakage, licking and sucking with a focused intensity, the world narrowing to this patch of skin, this response. He felt her clit swell under his tongue, felt the inner muscles begin to flutter. Her grip in his hair tightened to the point of pain.

Her orgasm, when it came, was as controlled and violent as her fighting style. A sharp, stifled cry was bitten off in her throat. Her body stiffened, every muscle locking. A hot pulse of fluid touched his tongue, bitter and thin. Her thighs clenched around his head, trapping him in place as she rode the sharp waves against his face, grinding herself onto his mouth with a brutal, mechanical rhythm.

Finally, she stilled. The silence rushed back in, now thick with the smell of sex and accomplishment. She released his hair. He pulled back, gasping, his face wet with her.

He opened his eyes. She was looking down at him, her gaze analytical, assessing. She pulled her trousers up, fastening them with unhurried motions. She examined the scalpel, then casually placed it on the operating table beside them, next to a sealed pack of sterile gauze.

“Adequate,” she said, as if rating a sparring session. “You learn.”

She turned to leave, then paused, glancing at the hovering medical drone. Its single glass eye was glowing a soft blue. Recording.

“She is watching, of course,” Shiva said. “The lesson is for us both.”

She left, her footsteps silent. Bruce remained on his knees, the cold from the floor seeping into his bones. He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand, staring at the drone. Its light pulsed once, slowly, like a winking eye. In the holographic display nearby, Talia’s smirk had resolved from a flicker into a perfect, permanent loop.

He climbed to his feet, his body feeling old and used. The biochemical scan still glowed on the monitor. His eyes fell to the scalpel Shiva had left behind, lying beside the gauze. It wasn’t an oversight. It was a message. The tools were here. The will to use them was being systematically dismantled.

He looked at the drone again. The chain wasn't just physical. It was digital. It was in the air. He was in the system, and the system now belonged to her.
